- Celebrate the cars that are blurring the line between production road cars and high-end racecars in Forza Motorsport Update 8. Career Mode invites you to play the Track Toys Tour and experience cars you could see hot lapping on the track with 2 reward cars to earn. Meanwhile, the Showroom welcomes additional Spotlight cars - three of which are either new or returning to Motorsport - that you can race in weekly events across Career, Multiplayer and Rivals. Plus, new fixes and experience improvements including tweaks to how Safety Ratings are calculated in Featured Multiplayer, a gloss-matte slider in the Livery Editor, a new Tire Wear scale option, changes to Drivatar AI braking behavior, and more. The fact that prior to this update you could be an S safety rated driver and be matched with E safety rated drivers is ridiculous!
Hopefully this new update fixes that, but I guess we won't truly know as they don't show opponents safety rating in game!! I wish they would just show the safety and driver ratings of the people you are up against, why do they have to be so secretive about it??!
Probaly bc of the declining player base to fill the lobby they made it wide matched
@@sambradford8624 nah, there's no queue for lobbies so people are just dumped into any random match regardless of skill. Population is irrelevant. Also makes the tradeoff of an event every X amount of time useless

Tbf I think they launched the game with many 'features' that were in place but never worked. The rating system for one. Looked like it was doing something but actually was just for show. The game needed another years worth of dev time at least.
Why even have the safety rating if you arent going to match players from the same rating...
Need to add Sebring monza, road Atlanta, Bathurst immediately

Yup. I uninstalled months ago and I'll check it again end of the year. Breaks my heart how Horizon is a 10/10 but motorsport is an afterthought

They rotate their workers so their contractor never work for enough time to become full time employees. Then a new group of devs is brought on and need to continue the work of those who were sent away.
It's a revolving door that garantess only the most mediocre of products can be made.

I like the drop down list to select the racing track showing only two values 😅.
Haven't been keeping up to date with Game, gas it improved much since launch. My xb1 is dying and not sure if I'll be able to transfer fm7 to series x or s, so may be stuck with either ditching fm7, getting serues x/s or ps5 and gt7. I'm convinced gt7 is more realistic biased than arcade if these two simcades.

I’m amazed on how a racing game that has “motorsport” in it’s name still completely lacks of racing cars in it’s career mode
they ruined it for themselves no one is gonna buy any new games from them at least i would never again. how can they not put drag racing and drifting in a racing game
Not to mention never adding real motorsport modifications. For the love of God why can I still not put 285s or realistic looking aero on my little ford escort? Not every car uses the same damn splitter or wing 😭

Please add radars. In the lobbies it’s chaotic. You never know if the guy bumped into you by accident or trying to ram you. After turn 1 everyone is frustrated.
They already announced in a blog post that it’s coming.

Still no drift tracks, still no open trackday or drift lobbies, no set race class playlist to stay available online, still missing a ton of tracks. Literal clownfest game bro.

Came across my 360 this morning and curiously popped in FM4. I forgot how many tracks there used to be. I wish for more tracks and I miss the drag racing/drift modes.

Dude... I've grown up playing Forza.. I can't even remember how many days I spent playing fm3, especially and on. But dude, this game sucks.. It doesn't even LOOK significantly better if you aren't looking for details you wouldn't otherwise see anyway.. (and yes I'm playing on an X, with a 4k tv)
The progression feels so hobbled compared to previous titles it isnt even rewarding to play, more like releiving to be done with that specific series.
The menus are SO fking fk'd up. I STILL blunder my way through them half the time.. I'm equally impressed and surprised they came up with such a convoluted mess of having to go here for this and here for that..
The car progression was a senseless and unwelcome change.. What was wrong with just having mfg affinity??
Lastly, these "updates" are a total joke.. You're adding patches that could've been hot fixes and calling them updates.. They're neither.. lol
graphics downgrade is unreal from the initial trailers

Not only graphics, but also content in the trailer: Forza Motorsport - Official Trailer - Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 at exactly 0:24 there was even a drift mode and if you stop to analyze the look of the cars they were also removed or changed in the final version.
Yea, if you want the graphics shown on the release, you need to buy the series x specific version. I've got it and the graphics are the best I've seen yet from Forza. It's a huge game and they would have needed to play it down for the smaller systems to run it.

Im still waiting on them to fix the AI that randomly brake in the middle of long straights on 7-8 difficulty. I thought the AI was supposed to be re-imagined and built from the ground up, but it is more of the same from Forza 7.
i played 200+h of forza 7 and for me the one's in new game seems WORSE hh
I felt anxious watching this... like it actually pissed me off because it told me almost nothing and showed stuff we already have!
Playground games doesn't a phenomenal job walking us through changes meanwhile turn 10 makes us wait for a 6 minute highlight reel

You have many cars, circuits and the same series every week. I'm starting to get bored now. The excuse is that we put this series requested by the community, of course because you know what works, because if not, you will be left without people online
It's unbelievable how fh5 gets way more content added to it while its towards the end of its life hahaha. Like come on T10 what is this slack adding in so few actually new things to the game. Its still worse than fm7. Like 90% of the changes made to everything menus, how things work ect is worse than the previous games. It wasnt broken you didnt need to change anything. What was wrong with the way you would select a car, get in it and then choose what you want to do after that? Now it feels like a cheap game where you dont even get in the cars until at the track anymore, and even then its terrible. Game still forgets half the things you change with the car, have to select tyres every time you change car. It changes the car restrictions by itself. Takes maybe 3x the button presses and 2x the time just to swap between a couple different cars and track when test driving. In fact ill make a video on that to show how un streamlined theyve made everything

You're 100% correct. They should have only spent time on what matters with the physics, adding features to cars etc. I was really hoping they would try to add features that are getting added to the cars in real life. Why is it still basically on or off for TC when in modern cars they have dials with 10 different traction control settings. And when it comes to aero and body mods they're still in the stone age. They should have contacted aftermarket companies and asked them if they want their modifications in the game but instead we get a rear wing and a front splitter. Also, why did they remove vehicle info like the engine map etc? Players want more info and more abilities to change things not less and we've gotten less. And why do we need to win certain career series to get access to cars that were in PREVIOUS versions of FM? They spent so much time focusing on the wrong things.
@@tuclance then why make motorsport at all? That's why they have horizon. Horizon is for those people but the people that want more racing with better physics all want Motorsport. If they stopped making it those people would go straight to Gran Turismo and leave Xbox behind. Motorsport offers something for people that love cars but aren't gamers. It's what built the entire Forza brand.
That's because, it's an "Arcade" version. Not professional racing at all. FM8 is releasing things on time as they don't wanna kill every experience immediately. Hence, keep the amazing game going.

No one knows Who, if anyone, is even in charge at Turn 10 at the Moment...
I would love to see favourite cars be add that way I don't need to scroll to all my cars.
I find very little reason to keep playing FM 2023, empty and soul-less with a frustrating GUI. And I was a longtime faithful Forza player.
Dito bro, been drifting in FM since FM2. They haven’t listened to the community and have made terrible decisions. For the first time ever I’d admit that grand turismo is a significantly better game. I don’t even wanna get started with the games available on PC. FM doesn’t even compare tbh. This game is an absolute failure in my opinion.
I rarely play because of the rotating classes in multi-player. I enjoy racing in A class and occasionally S class and Forza 8 just refuses to keep all the classes open at all times (like Forza Motorsport 7) so I only race when A class is available and sometimes S class.

I can't imaging how stuning will New York track looks with the current Forza engine, so please bring the New York track back.
Still waiting on Bathurst, Sebring, Long Beach and many other real-world tracks that were in FM7.

I hope this update is fix vram overflow memory problem! My pc say that 5.2gb uses vram memory, in real value is 6.5-7.4gb its for full hd settings. When i activate retracing memory is overflowing full and then drop down fps and then memory capacity error window lights up

Turn your "player livery quality" to "auto" and you're good to go.

@@WhiteCranKunfortunately it’s still happening, happened to me yesterday. Full auto, dynamic render on ultra, with dlss on highest settings, all that with ultrawide 1080p monitor with a 3060ti. Game ran extremely good compared to launch but yeah received my first vram warning pop up!

Where does it say that in the patch note? I've read the patch note 2 times already and didn't find such information there
@@CAMCOH. there was an update notes released a few days ago which stated a spectator mode was being introduced and a proximity radar… anyone who read the notes will remember. I cannot find the notes now so I can only assume they were taken down by T10.

the things that actually matter:
- safety rating improvements
- AI improvements
- tire wear multiplier for free play / private multiplayer
- some spec series car balance changes
- no more weather changes mid-race in featured multiplayer
- assorted bug fixes
No weather changes is pretty lame tbh.
Arrows just isn't good enough we need radar and spotter.

The penalty system needs an update. How about plat ACC to get an idea of how it should be?
Just put a proper, fixed career mode in this game for Christs sake. People with jobs and families cannot get on for enough time every week to complete these limited time events. How did Turn 10 forget how to make a good Forza since number 4?
Loool why exhausts look the same? Stock, sport etc. Did you repair wheel usb issues, mini delays?:) Wheel ET parameter added? Cockpit view adjusting?

One thing I have noticed and would change is the race starts at Daytona, due to the banking on the tri-oval it may be necessary to either go to a rolling start for races at Daytona or move the grid position back to the flat portion at the start of pit road. This would ensure all competitors are able to get going without the rear of the car dipping to the left and causing you to drive head on into the wall at the start of a race. I have seen and experienced this frequently. I also do not believe that there are any real life races with the exception of motorcycle races that are a standing start at this track and I do believe it will help with the quality of races at what is arguably one of the best tracks in North America.
Credit when it's due, first impressions from racing with AI is it's a huge improvement.
Not perfect, but much more like an enjoyable racing experience and that's all we want.
Next up multiplayer, fingers crossed.

Acura is a DPi car sadly we still don’t even have the Hypercar/gtp Acura that’s currently racing.

Seems very likely that this update/track will be shown off at "E3" then, so maybe it will be a pretty noteworthy track like Interlagos or Fujimi Kaido?
This is the first Forza that I haven't bother playing. The same recycled cars as "new Content," still missing tracks that haven't appeared since FM4, FM4 still has the most driving event types by a mile. It's like Turn 10 almost stopped even trying to add content they already had, let alone adding something new.
Please leave the featered tours in the Game and bring back the past ones, so we can enjoy them everytime we want, so we dont have the miss out anxiety

They only keep track of your last 10 races.
ive gone back to motorsport 7 due to lack of track options, more tracks and cars from horizon 5 like the 24 mustang, what are you doing turn 10

I'd rather see old cars from 90's and early 2000's, old regular cars, car's that your more likely seeing people drive irl, and more trucks, 2nd Gen Dakota, HHR, base model civic's, ram 3500, Ford explorer, jeep compass, base model jeep cheroke, more average cars, it's a lot more fun making a slow car to really fast

I just got the game a few days ago as I am just getting into racing - I have played around 9 hours and spent some time looking for my stats from career mode to see the trophies and podiums I have achieved, only to learn this game has no stat database!? I could not believe it, now my incentive to keep playing has dropped. One of the most fun things would be keeping track of my improvements, what a joke!

Could Forza GT Multiplayer be left to just medium length races? The short races are not exciting to play and it creates a atmosphere where everyone drives hyper aggressive and without any care for other drivers on the track. Giving us the option to choose a medium race or a short race would be a good compromise.

Any chance you can fix the AI to stop them suddenly slamming the brakes on in random places for no reason whatsoever?
S Rating should only be raced with S and A Ratings. You need to rack up some time penalties to get to B Ratings, let alone those lower than B.
When will Moza r5 support be available?
Please let the new track be a street course. Detroit Belle Isle or the new circuit would be awesome.
I would personally love to see more street circuits in the game.
New York street circuits from the earlier games were awesome and I love having Long Beach, but please get some street circuits in the near future. I feel it would be a nice change and great for having more diverse track types.

I would really like the option for longer races in single player to return, and the addition of a Qualifying mechanic for single player. These 3 laps of practice and 3-5 lap races just aren't doing it for me.
