Good work! I was Chief Judge for this race. With out looking back at the paperwork I don't remember the races of that day since I officiated a whole bunch of the Kissena races this past year. Racing the "Strong" guys is always beneficial as it will push you even harder. Last summer I raced the "strong guy" aka Matt Recchia, along other Cat-2/Cat-3 Masters at T-Town in the Masters field, and yeah Matt is a monster, but it really pushed me. Track is a whole thing in it self and takes time to learn and figure out. In the early days you just have to try stuff even if you blow up and don't succeed. It's all part of the learning process. The nice thing about track is that I generally find that the community is very supportive and friendly which makes a big difference to those trying it out for the first time. I hope to see you back this season.

i know this race is a throw back. I love hearing you talk about it in 1st and 3rd person. Sometimes you are surprised on what you did, or you are rooting for yourself. Great stuff!!!!!!

Awesome, I love track racing! Track standing is pretty easy to learn if you know the technique and just practice some in a parking lot.

Merckx trained only on bikes and was great at this, an all around cycling animal. YOu can gain great cycling power riding your legs off, like after a training session when you can barely gut up a flight of steps

Track etiquette while bunch chasing Bro. Half or quarter lap pull on the pole then shoulder check right then move up the track, slot back in using the banking.

You're basically lifting your body weight in the bar?? That seems really really big number. Is that it?

When you said 140 for the squats and originally didn't say if it was pounds or kilos, I thought you were a beast for lifting 140kg for reps when you are just starting hahahah

Alright who's eaten pavement and their dignity trying to track stand at an intersection? 😗
