Everything in our immediate area is private land, so I think you need to either head east or west to get to places where you can really explore. Or Uwharrie is always a popular destination...
Just ran across your channel. I live in the foothills near VA and have been looking for more info on OL and Camping. I have several friends getting into this as well. Thanks for sharing. Any plans to map the areas you find?
Thanks for following! I have some ideas for the spring for a trip up through VA and WV, so stay tuned. No plans right now to provide mapping data. I don't currently have a good way to gather that data, process it so that it's useful, and then publish it. My goal is for the videos themselves to provide enough info so that anyone watching them alongside google maps can pretty easily figure out our exact route. Everyone has access to all the same maps and satellite images online that I do, but what they need is some perspective from the ground and some general descriptions of how things actually look to drive and camp. I could see more detailed mapping being a development in the future if the channel grows to a point where it can support that kind of effort, but I don't think it's there yet.
The last four to five years I have been going up to Grayson Highlands a lot, and camping at the Scales. We went again a couple months ago but I didn't make another video for this channel because I already have a series of videos from there on here. There is a video from there on my other channel though (Brad and Family). Besides Grayson Highlands I haven't done a lot of overland style trips, but I am very much looking forward to doing the Mid Altantic BDR and also the Allegheny and Shenandoah Overland Trail. I think those will be great for early summer next year when it's starting to warm up a little here but is still cool in the mountains there.
This is what I LOVE thank you !
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Thank you for what you doing , we love to overland and spend alot of time in North Carolina we look forward to meeting you guys some day thanks again.
Absolutely! It's been fun seeing people on the trail who recognize the truck from videos.
This is exactly what I am looking for. I look forward to seeing you gentlemen out on the trail.
Awesome, welcome aboard! Keep an eye out for an upcoming video from our trip last weekend to Musterground Road
Where can I find something near the triangle?

So glad you are focusing on NC and surrounding states. Subscribed and would like to join up. I'm assuming you are headed to Overland in VA?

Scales, I haven't been there but love Grayson highlands.
I have a gx470 that I'm slowly building up.
That is such a great platform! Have you seen Outlaw Expeditions build of one of those? He does really nice work. Good luck with yours!
