What is Prime coat, Tack coat and Seal coat in Pavement

- This video shows prime coat, tack coat and seal coat. Prime coat is used on top of base course layer. The aggregate of base course layer are lose and to increase the bonding between the particles, prime coat is sprayed. The other purpose of prime coat is to close the capillary action. Tack coat is used between binder course and surface course. Tack coat is used to increase bonding between asphalt layers. Seal coat is used on top of surface course to provide friction and protect the surface from penetrating water into the pavement. For more details please watch full video.

Again, seal coat is never using for increasing FRICTION. Please provide any reference if you found one. Friction or Skid resistant entirely depends on macro texture, micro texture and PSV of aggregate. Also new surface has to be left certain time for loosing its bitumen layer from the stones.
