What fragrances make you feel special and chic? What would you recommend?
Hi Katie, your video made me think of Chanel's Paris - Édimbourg, so I put some on today, and I shared your video in a facebook group for people who like to sample fragrances. PS. I was so glad Claire Smith shared your channel in her recent tag video. I agree with her that we love your knowledge of and taste in fragrances!
@@jcjccmz you are always the best, thank you so much!🩷 Paris-Edinbourg is very classy, I agree 💯
L'Air du Temps is my moms favourite. ❤
@@newdaynewscent5 it's great! 🩷
Hi Kate ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for mentioning me! Love the way you describe Matsukita! PS: I was on a long and busy trip to Romania, it feels like it's been ages without UA-cam
@@GeorgiaTonka thank you!🩷 I noticed that you seemed away and there were no videos! Glad you're back 🙂
Yes! Dia is one of my favourites. I have the older bottle too!
I would add Dior New Look 1947 to this list and Houbligant Iris des Champs. Oh and YSL Rive Gauche.
@@breannacarels6479 wow, I love your picks for this list, they are 100% classy 😍
@@katekhara it’s one of my favourite categories. Haven’t smelled many on your list so thanks for the inspiration! It’s funny because my life is pretty rural and rugged, but I still love a good classy fragrance.
@@breannacarels6479 because you are a classy lady I suppose 💎
Ooh I love L’Air du Temps! Brings me right back to when I was 20/21…sooo long ago now lol. (1988, wow) But I loved it back then, must seek a vintage asap to relive those beautiful scent memories. ✨Some chic perfumes that I love are:
31 Rue Cambon - Chanel
Chanel No.19 edt & edp - vintage
Chanel Cristalle edt - vintage
(…you can tell I love Chanel ☺️)
Chanel Allure Sensuelle
Estée Lauder White Linen
Y by Yves Saint Laurent
& Mon Guerlain
@@time_traveller3 this is such a beautiful list! And yes, definitely Chanel is the top choice 😄
@@katekharaThank you! I’ve always been interested in Dia, must look for a vintage bottle like yours. ✨ I have Jubilation 25 in that clear bottle, their bottles are so beautiful with the magnetic cap too. Oh, and I’ve just ordered some vintage L’Air du Temp, edt & parfum.😁
@@time_traveller3 the magnetic cap is just the best 😍 Ohh, I wanna know about how it goes with vintage L'ait di temps!!🙏🏼👀
Hey Katie,
I 've just discovered your channel and I have subscribed to it.
@@georgiachatzitheodoridou3806 hi Georgia, welcome! 🙂
L’Air du Temps was my Nana’s scent. I recently picked up a small bottle (same bottle as you) and I have a new appreciation for the scent. It feels fleeting to me, but I wear it to bed pretty often. So interesting to hear about your experience with the projection. I need to try it out and about one day!! I would love to smell a vintage version.
@@breannacarels6479 I really hope to smell a vintage version one day too! I know that many French actresses of those times loved and wore it 🩷
I bought the Sisley Eau de Campagne years ago when I was in my mid twenties. Oh how I loved it. I’ll have to revisit it.
@@nancy1316 it is a great fragrance! Thanks for sharing 🙂
These are certainly amazing ! ❤. Thank you for sharing !

I'm not one for the classy, more dressed up scents, but for a casual chic sophistication I really loved the whole discovery set by Atelier Materi. I bought a full bottle of Cacao Porcelana which I am two thirds through, but their Bois d'Ambrette, Narcisse Taiji and Iris Ebène were so chic and modern too. And their Poivre Pomelo, and Cedre Figalia, great for fresh summer chic. Loved your video, Kate
@@ems_h.eartnotes This is the brand that I really want to explore actually! And I almost blind bought Cacao Porcelana 3 days ago 😄 I should probably just get a sample set. Thanks for sharing!🩷💎
@@katekhara I really would recommend the discovery set if you can get hold of it. Cacao Porcelana seems to be either a love or a hate from what I have seen. The only one I haven't tried is Cuir Nilam
@@ems_h.eartnotes thank you so much for the recommendation!🙏🏼🩷 I think this is what I am going to do
Ooh wow Chyprissime sounds really beautiful! Aww you're friends with Georgia too? 😃😍 She is such a sweet person!! 🥰🥰
Do you think I would like Baraonda? I love woody roses... but I guess you never know til you try! 😊
@@tammyroxanne. Georgia is amazing, we just spent some great time together when she was in NYC!🩷 Hmm, it's hard to say if you would like it or not. I am absolutely in love with it, it's pretty boozy for a lot of people though. So it depends on how boozy you would like to go haha
@@katekhara oh wow! You guys got to meet that is awesome!! 😍🥰🩷 Yes I don't like anything too *too* boozy! 😂
@@tammyroxanne. Yes, I am so happy we could spend some time in person! And I would try with a sample of Barainda first, so there are no surprises haha
So many of my favourites in here! Great list. Thanks for sharing. I might check out the Clive Christian, I have avoided trying most of them due to the price but you may have convinced me to make an exception to try this one. My list would also include Ormonde Woman, Beloved Woman, 31 Rue Cambon and Tuberose&Moss 😊
@@TheTopNote I almost included Ormonde Woman to this list! Just didn't want too many. Thanks for sharing!!🙏🏼🩷
Mitsouko! I love your channel and how you talk about perfume. New Subscriber :o). oxJulia
@@StelmaDesigns Hi Julia, welcome! ✨🩷
Hi ! Love your channel ! I have dia40 and it’s one of my favourite fragrances it’s elegant classy and chic ❤
@@meethacastellino6006 hi Meetha, thank you! Ohh, Dia 40 is something I want myself 🤩 nice!
Sisley have some lovely fragrances, I've only ever found one counter with them to try but they were all very classy.
The Les Exceptions line are loved, I'm sad that I missed them. 😭
I haven't tried Cuir Zerzura, I will go sniff it. I bet my local store will stock it. It sounds like something I'd enjoy. 😊
@@dr.claire.perfume Sisley is an amazing brand, I respect that they don't follow trends and just do their thing!
I hear the rumor from Milan the are rebooting the line of Les Exceptions 👀
Let me know what you think about Armani!🩷🙏🏼
Hi Kate!! 🫶🏻🥰 I do have some red wine in the kitchen, should I grab a glass right now?? 🍷🤔😆 I love thinking about which perfumes in my collection would fit the classy sophisticated vibes.. I've been meaning to do one on this topic, I may be inspired now! ❤
@@tammyroxanne. Yes, you definitely should have that wine 😄 I was actually thinking about offering you to make a one-topic video together! Choose some creative idea and make complimenting videos 🙂 Let me know if this sounds interesting, I'll think about ideas! Just want to shake things up a little 🤓
@@katekhara That would be so fun! 🤩
@@tammyroxanne. Ok, let's think about it then! How can I contact you?🙂
@@katekhara my info is always in my descriptions, but whichever is easiest for you! 🥰
@@tammyroxanne. Ok, I'll contact you soon!
I don't have one I'm thinking of that makes me feel classy.....I'm drawn to a lot of comforting scents. But bateau de capri and gin fizz help me channel a bit of grace Kelly. Thank you so much for reminding me about L'Air du Temps. I used to steal spritzes of it from my stepmom in the late 80s. I definitely need a bottle. So beautiful.
@@helenwhitenyc1 Hi Helen, thank you for sharing! I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Amouage dia is my fave 😊
@@martasalvi8152 it's beautiful!🩷
La Panthere Parfum sounds lovely 🔥. I feel classy and elegant when I wear my Plummeria De Orris, Grandenia and Musk Lave by Areej Le Dore. I shouldn't really, but I only wear them on special occasions.
@@kathywitter6076 wow, I don't know those! I am intrigued 🤔
Hi ❤
Ahh, I LOVE Matsukita! I never hear anyone talk about it. It is truly the most elegant fragrance in my collection. ❤
@@laurakateschnitzer42 hi Laura, this is such a great fragrance! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
❤🫶
Baraonda is so rich, I have to use it sparingly in case I'm mistaken for a booze hound. 😆 My favourite comment while waiting in a checkout line was, "dude, how much do you DRINK?" 🤣 Trying to convince a stranger that it's a fragrance is like trying to convince someone that it WASN'T me who farted. Ps, it wasn't. 😐 I SWeaR. 😂 I left laughing but also concerned that he saw me get into the driver's seat. Appreciate you sharing as always Kate. 🤍 I'll have to give Cuir Zerzura a wear!
@@justaddlight wow, really? I never got comments about smelling like alcohol haha. On me there is a lot of rose and wood though! Have you tried Cuir Zerzura before?
@@katekhara Never, but I sampled the line long ago. Wore a couple of them from samples like Myrrhe Imperiale, Rose d'Arabie and Bleu Lazuli too. The latter actually a nice sweet autumn fragrance. Not "blue" at all. Still have a sample of Cuir Noir lying around somewhere... Generally a rather deep, refined, albeit simplistic collection, but some of them are certainly well done.
