Fantastic and criminally underrated game. I completed it a year ago on iOS back when my iPhone 12 was brand new and loved every minute of it. If it goes on sale on the Switch I may consider picking it up on this platform too for a second play through.
Hey there, I haven't played this one yet, but even being old consider giving Beneath a Steel Sky a try, its an FANTASTIC game too, and the reason of why people were awaiting soo much of this new game. You can get ot for free in GOG or other places and it runs in literally any machine
@@olivierrodriguesneto5995 I ended up buying the cartridge of this game for the Nintendo Switch as I ended up travelling to relatives this Xmas. I have all of Revolution Software’s games and played Beneath a Steel Sky back in 2016 when it was released on iOS. I agree, it’s a fantastic game and one of my favourite point and click adventures of all time. Beyond a Steel Sky is a very worthy successor and concludes the story of Joey, Foster and Union City perfectly.
I absolutely _loooove_ the original and have been looking forward to this arriving on the Switch. Bugs be damned, I'm going to immerse myself in this and enjoy it no matter what.
Thank you for this review. I was looking for the new Broken Sword and stumbled across Beyond A Steel Sky. I didn't play the original one, but it makes me want to go back and do that.
This is the first time I have been introduced to this series, I didn't even know it WAS a series. I am actually on the fence about it because, while it does interest me and I can more time than not look past the lower graphical quality, I think the game needs a little love and attention to get the best possible performance out of what the Switch has to offer.
I really liked this game. It's beautifully designed and consistently immersive. However, I should mention that I actually played it on my gaming PC, not on my Switch, and it did indeed look better than what you see here. For example, the environments are deeper and richer, and objects and people are properly permanent (rather than that "popping" in-and-out nonsense). I also didn't have a lot of those control and hand scanner display issues. So to be honest, because the quality of the environments is such a crucial factor in multiple aspects of the experience, I would recommend playing the PC version if you can. It's on Steam. In any case, no matter what system it's played on, I enjoy the way the story unfolds, all the various personalities you encounter, and that system-hacking puzzle format. It's also well-written, delivering good drama, mystery, and suspense while sprinkling little bits of humour throughout to make that dystopian future a little lighter. If you're like me and you're into those old-school point-and-click adventure games that emphasise the story and the overall experience rather than stressful skill-tests, and the idea of playing one of those in full 3D sounds awesome to you, this is your game. Go for it. On PC.
This went better than I expected, I'm adding it to the wishlist. I was scared they would f- it up. Maybe they will patch it up to fix the annoying pop in issue.
Birmingham UK but it’s jacked up a bit, I live in London for 7 years, New York for 1, Phoenix for 6 and now I’ve been in LA for 6 months. I have to force my voice a bit so people understand me
@@SwitchCorner haha! Thanks for the reply. I could hear the brummy, but then it went off in places that I couldn’t tell. Interesting. I would say It’s unique and fun to have such a complex accent like that. Nice video!
Thanks as always for watching, liking and subscribing! Will you be adding this one to the library? I've been excited for this one!
I wish devs would iron out issues first before releasing the game.

Thanks for the great content! Always reliable across all platforms
Solid review, glad I preordered the physical version. Hopefully it gets a few fixes to iron some issues out.
Thanks for doing it! As always, great information.

Have the issues been patched since this review?

I don't like the fact that they made it 3D, but I know that doing it 2D or 2.5D won't be appealing for newer generations.
Reminds me of mass effect without the combat
Thanks for the review on this one.
I’m so interested in your accent! Where are you from??? Would love to know.
