It's a shame that such a important and universal video (message) gets only 23,000 views in 2½ years, while some crap like Gangnam Style gets more than a Billion in less than one year! Close to TWO BILLION in 1½...
or is the "little interest" due to the Channel('s owner) this video is on?

This video did well on hooking their audience. Other's, that I have seen, don't. The model's to this made it even better. Well done, I have to say.

We have to pass it on, because our human rights are still in danger. Since 2007 percentage of free countries has gone down from 55 to 45% (source: FreedomHouse), which also means that the unfree ones have become that much stronger. Here "unfree" means hurman rights not respected.

Well they skipped over critical parts of history, credited the wrong people, and seemed to be deliberate in doing so. Why? Because today we change history to vilify Europeans and especially Christians.

I would sincerely like to thank the person who made this video for acknowledging Cyrus the Great who was a PERSIAN/IRANIAN whom established the first human rights, I get so angry how this is never mentioned, for instance anywhere you ask about human rights and its first establishment they say "oh yeah human rights, like the MAGNA CARTER by King JOHN of England" who was the first to establish human rights, and yes of course its always England, because no where in the books will they EVER come out and say the good values and attributes the middle east and other countries brought to the world. we are just labelled as the idiots in the books and media. Again THANK YOU very much !!!

Well said. Unfortunately due to political westernized agenda, we are always shown as the "bad guy." If you notice, the narrator doesn't mention where Cyrus the Great came from, only in the comments. He did Persia justice ✊

I disagree with how the video portrays Napoleon Bonaparte as a man who threatened the progress of human rights since he is a product of the French revolution. This is demonstrated by his code, where all men were given rights despite reintroducing slavery and limiting the rights of women. This was still quite progressive during his time since the enemies of France also limited the rights of individuals: In Britain, Women aren't allowed to vote and only men over 21 who own property can vote. In Prussia, the rights of peasants were limited and serfdom existed in Austria and Russia. These four major powers whose armies made up the majority of the 6th coalition forces didn't fight for the sake of human rights the purpose of their resistance against Napoleon is to restore their power and influence in Europe and their colonies as well as crushing the ideals of the French revolution; where the rights of the people threatened the autocratic foundation of the Monarchy. The rise and fall of Napoleon's empire enlightened Europe with the fruits of the French revolution.

Here are your human rights in case you are wondering.1. We Are All Born Free & Equal. We are all born free. We all have our own thoughts and ideas. We should all be treated in the same way.2. Don’t Discriminate. These rights belong to everybody, whatever our differences.3. The Right to Life. We all have the right to life, and to live in freedom and safety. 4. No Slavery. Nobody has any right to make us a slave. We cannot make anyone our slave. 5. No Torture. Nobody has any right to hurt us or to torture us. 6. You Have Rights No Matter Where You Go. I am a person just like you! 7. We’re All Equal Before the Law. The law is the same for everyone. It must treat us all fairly. 8. Your Human Rights Are Protected by Law. We can all ask for the law to help us when we are not treated fairly. 9. No Unfair Detainment. Nobody has the right to put us in prison without good reason and keep us there, or to send us away from our country. 10. The Right to Trial. If we are put on trial this should be in public. The people who try us should not let anyone tell them what to do. 11. We’re Always Innocent Till Proven Guilty. Nobody should be blamed for doing something until it is proven. When people say we did a bad thing we have the right to show it is not true. 12. The Right to Privacy. Nobody should try to harm our good name. Nobody has the right to come into our home, open our letters, or bother us or our family without a good reason. 13. Freedom to Move. We all have the right to go where we want in our own country and to travel as we wish. 14. The Right to Seek a Safe Place to Live. If we are frightened of being badly treated in our own country, we all have the right to run away to another country to be safe. 15. Right to a Nationality. We all have the right to belong to a country. 16. Marriage and Family. Every grown-up has the right to marry and have a family if they want to. Men and women have the same rights when they are married, and when they are separated.17. The Right to Your Own Things. Everyone has the right to own things or share them. Nobody should take our things from us without a good reason.18. Freedom of Thought. We all have the right to believe in what we want to believe, to have a religion, or to change it if we want. 19. Freedom of Expression. We all have the right to make up our own minds, to think what we like, to say what we think, and to share our ideas with other people. 20. The Right to Public Assembly. We all have the right to meet our friends and to work together in peace to defend our rights. Nobody can make us join a group if we don’t want to.21. The Right to Democracy. We all have the right to take part in the government of our country. Every grown-up should be allowed to choose their own leaders. 22. Social Security. We all have the right to affordable housing, medicine, education, and childcare, enough money to live on and medical help if we are ill or old. 23. Workers’ Rights. Every grown-up has the right to do a job, to a fair wage for their work, and to join a trade union. 24. The Right to Play. We all have the right to rest from work and to relax. 25. Food and Shelter for All. We all have the right to a good life. Mothers and children, people who are old, unemployed or disabled, and all people have the right to be cared for. 26. The Right to Education. Education is a right. Primary school should be free. We should learn about the United Nations and how to get on with others. Our parents can choose what we learn. 27. Copyright. Copyright is a special law that protects one’s own artistic creations and writings; others cannot make copies without permission. We all have the right to our own way of life and to enjoy the good things that art, science and learning bring. 28. A Fair and Free World. There must be proper order so we can all enjoy rights and freedoms in our own country and all over the world. 29. Responsibility. We have a duty to other people, and we should protect their rights and freedoms. 30. No One Can Take Away Your Human Rights

Human rights is a big point in my new song You Can SMC because we keep on buying things that we don't really need that was produced in a country where the leaders dictate disbelief that it is okay to underpay people just because they earn less in their country, and with the average salary barley survive. Only the consumers can really stand up and start a revolution to stop the madness.

You know. I lived in two parts of the world in my life. Half in Eastern Europe, and half in California. Due to being able to read and interact with people from different languages and websites I always get shocked how in Eastern Europe (well, honestly particularly in Russia at the moment) how dismissive they are of Human Rights. I do not mean some fancy human rights, like to have a right to be jailed in a nice furnished prison cell, or some right that is debated about material luxury. I mean basic human right like not to be jailed without an official charge, the right to a fair hearing, the right to believe something, etc. In Russia it is pretty alien to at least half of society. Some people literally hate the idea of human rights. For example in Russia they kicked okkut many human rights NGOs and accused them of "western propaganda". What they actually are referring to is any criticism of current Russian government , and for things like protecting gays from being beat up (gay marriage in Russia and eastern Europe is like a distant unimaginable idea there). People can get jailed and routinely do in Russia, for doing something like sharing a link on social networks or writing something on their blog. You read right. For reposting links. Another guy wrote on his blog criticism of Muslims and of Eastern Orthodox for their more intolerant practices. Well, Russia jailed him for "writing intolerant ideas to offend sensibilities of religious people"

Woops...I didn't know Napoleon was overthrown becaus he was a threat to human rights...I thought he was overthrown because the coalition wanted to establish monarchies over france (and keep their own crown)....so either I'm wrong and monarchies are great for the people, or this entire clip is full of it...

It's a nice list but seriously flawed. The only human rights, those endowed by our creator, are those that infer no burden on another. In one example, you can't say that you have a right to food since that infers a burden on the farmer and the delivery group. You can't have a right to health care because of the burden that it infers on doctors or nurses.
One side note, once you remove " our creator" from the equation whether he exists or not, you remove inalienable and then your rights will ultimately be removed by those who "gave" them to you. It's important folks. Wake up.

They do not get an english/british king (King John) to agree on human rights and sign the Magna Carta. The english/british king (King John) was forced by his nobles and barons to sign the Magna Carta because King John forced them to pay taxes.

The best tool for life is to understand that accepting God's will and plan for your life offers peace and destiny. We were all out on this earth for something meaningful not just to make money, buy homes and cars but to help others and love one another. Human rights are God given rights. Whatever you are encountering call upon the mighty name of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) and ask God for help!

Without a proper grounding for the sanctity of human life, there are no human rights. The Judeo-Christian belief of imago dei is the only rationally satisfying foundation for human dignity and value. Travel beyond the West to areas where Christianity hasn't penetrated enough, and try to have a conversation about human rights, and you'll know what I mean.

    We
must implement a Human Rights Police force that will enforce Human
    Rights all over the world.
Who ever tramples on Human Rights is a
criminal of the worst kind. and should be treated that way.
    This
is the only thing that will bring Peace to the Earth.
    Everyone
should be a HR Police Officer and enforce these rights on the daily
    bases.
We must stay vigilant at all times, because Evil does not
    sleep.
There is no other way to have our rights protected.
    One
of the biggest problem is that ppl are not even aware what Human
    Rights are.
So they can not protect it when someone crosses the
    line.

I am mostly commenting because I am amazed to find, after skimming thru ten other Scientology videos, one that allowed people to actually comment on it. I'm just naturally fascinated with insular societies, and so far y'all live up to the hype. It almost feels like you're trying to take credit for a history that predates Hubbie by thousands of years, and that by merely pointing out that history both recent and distant is....well basically that it exists, that you are somehow doing something about it. More than anything else this reminds me of copies of the watchtower my grand father had growing dust in the recycling bin that I noticed around the time he was turning 90. It's such a simplified, shorted and idealized history that it's sorta comical. Nice graphics tho. If you can't win with content, blow em away with cgi.

It is very true in some aspects. But, what they are saying is just to use flattery and lies. Which are excellent manipulative or cunning ways to get what you want quickly but not applicable for creating genuine strong relationships.
