For $250 million it better come with a private express elevator. That way you'd never have to deal with those pesky commoners who could only afford 10 or 15 million dollar apartments.
"I'll take my chances with the fire brigade". I'm sure some people at the World Trade Center said something like that. Their names are on the memorial. I'm sure Daz is right that the large section above the balcony (except for the couple of windowed floors) is the tuned mass damper. In San Francisco there are several buildings that have these in different forms. In one case it's just a huge tank of water. But they are all designed to counter earthquake motion as well as sway from wind and so on.
Central Park Tower has 11 elevators & Lifts & very quick 2,000 FPM ( Facilities Management & Planning ) or 10 meters a sec, Your ears pop for you know your up 129 floors and down again lol. 😃
Well, as the agent was saying, this will be a trophy property for a multi-billionaire who has numerous homes around the world. So chances are that guy’s got 1000 acres next door to Yellowstone too.
It's gorgeous but I'm sorry, when the building starts swaying back and forth in the wind, there's no way I could handle that. I don't care how big the dampener is....lol
As soon as a billionaire hears the highest penthouse in the WORLD they will jump, they always want to out-do the other billionaire…so I can’t see it sitting for long!
I read an article that said that the developer didn't want to release the penthouse for sale until the rest of the building was sold. I'm not sure if that's true or not.
The brokers name is Ryan Serhant. An ex actor turned real estate agent. He was in nine seasons of Million Dollar Listings NY for Bravo network. He is known for doing some out of the box thinking when it came to selling property.
He's certainly into "out of the box" sales clothes. He's wearing some kind of designer high-water/skinny unconstructed pants-suit, T-shirt with, doubtless, collector-worthy sneakers. Not being the demographic shopping in this price class, I wouldn't trust anybody dressed like that.
I had the exact same thought, anyone that can afford the 175 million one - can afford the 250 million one. So who is buying the inferior 175 million apartment? 😂
It wouldn't matter for the multibillionaires that this home is for. For us $200,000,000 is a lot, but for them, they would buy this home for pennies. In their shoes, I'd be open to buy something like this.
I’m not sure if that was the new building in NYC that has had tons of problems and can’t sell the apartments. It looked like it. Leaky pipes, and other major construction issues.
A lot of nonesense that realtor was saying seeing the curves of the earth ? The place is expensive because it took 2 decades to be build ? What kind of bs is that , I thought the place to be so average considering the price tag , I saw videos of other penthouses and mansions around 100 M way more impressive than this and have character , this one just looks like a beautiful warehouse
I wouldn't want to live that high either, especially with floor-to-ceiling windows. It feels too exposed and also like a target. I wouldn't find it really relaxing to feel like I'm living in a fishbowl like that.
The problem is, that portfolio of clients who could normally be counted upon to jump on a trophy like this includes a number of people who are now being sanctioned by the US. Russian oligarchs had a lot of their assets frozen, and can't travel to the US anyway. New Yorkers protest Bezos, Elon lives in a hovel, and Saudis don't like living in countries where they can't dismember journalists. The list after that is pretty short, since property investor billionaires like Buffett won't bite unless they forsee a big payday coming. Also, I laughed my ass off seeing those two standing together. Graham Stephen looked like a little boy compared to Ryan Serhant. He was like a boy sitting in dad's chair!
This is not even close to the most expensive home in the world. It's just the most expensive private home currently on the market. It actually pales in comparison to other private residences actually out there. At $250Mil it doesn't even break into the top 5 in the world. Which is absolutely insane...
I don't get realtors. I want to speak to the architect, or the civil engineer, not some random person that watched a powerpoint presentation of talking points about the property. They never say anything I can't figure out in 2 minutes with my eyes.
What a load of horseshit his sales pitch is. Millionaires row is just an artificially inflated overpriced tax shelter investment for billionaires. Literally, look it up. If you have a $250,000 house you probably pay more taxes than if you owned this $250,000,000 apartment.
Thank You! For not reacting to those stock photo and stock video type of videos. The voice overs are very informative.. but the stock photos they use are just not accurate.
The largest house that isn’t used as a hike anymore would be the Vanderbilt house in North Carolina. That has to be up there cost wise. But it’s now more of a landmark tourist spot but I think still owned by the family. Like Graceland kind of.
Like they said the building they mentioned that’s the tallest the residential part doesn’t go all the way up the building. They also have to pump sewage out of the building which seems like a design flaw but a solid amount of the upper part is like maintenance areas I guess or just empty or it’s work space or something. Also why would it be owned by the Russians? Multiple of the richest people in the world are American? Like the top three right now are Musk, Bezos, and Gates. And there are tons of billionaires besides them. I mean Musk alone could buy like fifty places like that and still be a billionaire. I mean the Russians probably are hiding their wealth better particularly the top guy as he’s kind of stolen a lot. Unless they’re saying they just buy more stuff like that but you wouldn’t even need a musk or Bezos to buy that a Seinfeld or even a Sandler could buy that. I mean it would be like half of Sandler net value but he’d cover it most likely fine and make it back probably in a decade or so. He has a net value of four hundred million I think. But he’d still be in the hundreds of millions after buying it. Totally he can afford the lower one but probably the top also.
@@user62559 I was telling him to click x because he clearly needs help on navigating the web and how to get out of watching a video he doesn't want to watch

I loveee watching his vids😊 he seems very down to earth and i like when Mikey (the cameraman) adds his little insights as well
The commission from selling that apartment must be something incredible. Probably enough to allow a person to retire.
That broker is on Million Dollar Listing, NY. He makes a ton of money.
About 3% so if sold for 250 mil, thats 7.5 mil in his pocket
According to the video that guy put out about the listing he'd make 1.8 million in commission
For $250 million it better come with a private express elevator.

Facts
Whoever is buying that already has multiple properties.
Daz has a life mission now !!!
Graham Stephen is actually one of the financial influencers you watched about in that Coffeezilla video. He promoted that FTX scam

For 250 million I want land.

I want islands and maybe create a small beautiful county

Exactly and that's why this is ridiculously expensive
React to Bill Burr's "The $500Million unsellable mansion" reaction
I thought that's the one they were gunna talk about
The good news is that the seller is willing to reduce the price by $50 million. The bad news is that he still insists on 5% down payment.
I read an article that said that the developer didn't want to release the penthouse for sale until the rest of the building was sold. I'm not sure if that's true or not.
Should have parachutes on the top level. Just in case....
If you can spend $250 million on a penthouse I’m sure you can spend under a penny to these billionaires on a bunch of parachutes
I love it! That’d be amazing to live there in the middle of Manhattann in a giant penthouse. Great views too

I would rather be on the ground. I am afraid of heights, and the thought of being that high up if there was a fire is terrifying.
