Fly Fishing Texas Redfish Short Shot Tips

Accuracy is so important when making short shots at redfish. Sometimes you get multiple shots, other times you are not so fortunate. Many of our shots are very close. Always keep your rod tip low, almost in the water, this keeps all slack out of the line while making short strips or what we like to call ticks or bumps. Keep the rod tip pointed at the fish, and not to your side. Good luck on your next trip out.
