Yup I use SMB and Ascorbic acid in conjunction with eachother. Sodium Metabisulphate as water treatment before mashing in. .4g/20lt I use of both. Not sure if your allowed to use SMB in beer in Brittan though? Awesome looking forward to the colab brew day!
Used ascorbic acid first time in my clone of your Secret city, brewed with Galaxy, so Space city it became. The keg stayed OK but had some oxidation in the lines when not pouring a beer for a week or so. Can't wait to watch the vlog of your collab brew with Tom, what a great comeback!
Seems like its worth adding ascorbic acid at packaging on all brews to negate any unwanted oxidisation, it seems pretty cheap. Are there any possible negative effects it can have?
What a great thing to do with Tom.You're a LEGEND Harry!🍻
Ascorbic acid can usually be found in regular supermarkets with the spices. It's used when making jams or preserves
Hope you and Tom have a fantastic fun brewday...please get him stuck back in brewing. We need to see you two guys brewing together again! 😁Cheers!

I really miss Tom's vlogs so hope he gets back into it again.
Great news, looking forward to that collaborative and new brewery christening vlog, thanks also for the advice on oxidation.
Love Sabro hops - work really well in porters and IPAs. Yeah, Tom definitely needs to pull his finger out and get brewing again! 😉
Great update looking forward to the upcoming get togethers..hope you had a great holiday.
Please do a live brew day with Tom

Great question, just what I was thinking 👌
Not that ive noticed. Been using for a year or so.
@@posterisedobserver6291 at what rate per litre?
@@dylanjonesbragdybachhomebrew he mentions 20g per 500l, so maybe 1g for 20+l homebrew batch?
@@bigsqueegie Sounds like a plan, I usually do a 30 litre batch so 1.5gm it is, missed what he said on that point, thanks for the heads up👌
