I'm in central Texas dealing with this coldsnap right now and my thermostat started changing my settings and as far as I know, IIII wasn't the one who made it do that. (Obviously it had to be me, and I just didn't know I messed it up.) So because of you and the reset, it's now doing exactly what I need!

While I haven't tried it myself, it sounds to me it involves cutting a wire below the display. Google "1F78 thermostat change from F to C" and follow the instruction in Fixya site (at your own risk).

If I understand correctly, you want to the program back to the default? If so, I would reset the thermostat, set the clock, set either cool or heat, then hit “run”. That should make it run accordingly to the default schedule.
If you have the same thermostats, you likely need 2 new AAA batteries. The front cover can be taken out by placing your finger at the bottom left corner and pull the cover toward yourself. There shouldn't be any screw.
When programming the cycle of the thermostat of the whole week, how long will the heat or a/c run for ? For example, if I program the thermostat at 80 F at heat for 6am and the next cycle is at 8am for 75 F, will the heat be continuously running at 80 F until 8am and then switch to 75F afterwards or will it turn off once the temperature reaches 80 F at whatever time in between ? Thanks
It was difficult to learn about the thermostat. Use “hold” to set the temperature indefinitely. And switch to “off” when you want the cold/hot air to stop completely.
@@travelingtrex4897 I take what I said back. My issue was that I needed to change the air filter. It was extremely clogged. I was frustrated when I wrote my original comment.

Yes, the hold button will hold the temperature indefinitely until you hit "run" button again.

Hold is to override the schedule and make it indefinite. When you decide to run the schedule again, hit the “Run” button.

The heat will active when it goes below your set temp. 👍

Select the desired temperature then press the HOLD button. It will stay at that temp until you change it or you turn Hold off.

Why is my "Hold" on all the time? My idiot brother messes everything up now this is happening. Does not run right.
