this is not a proper review, just superficial comment on the system , listening to it through the video does serve any purpose as it does not render and we cant really judge the sound quality. last but not least, is the system worth on a mini the extra bucks which is the question to be answered ? not sure really as it is pretty close the standard audio system in mini hatchback in terms of audio performance, much improved compared to last generations.
having driven all 3 Minis /Cooper S, CLubman S and Countryman S) with and without the HK, go for it, i didn't think that they'll be that good, if you like you can go for the standard and then swap em against the bavsound speakers

Great bass, clear treble especially with the bass & treble adjusted up and the 'electronic' setting on. The BANG&OLUFSEN that I had in my A3 S Line Sedan was very very flat sounding - typically B&O and not my taste at all.
I´ve got a mini one with the harman kardon sound system and a A4 with audis sound system. Both are not worth the money! The mids and highs are good but there is no bass! The subwoofers in both cars are to weak or just to small!
My feeling is tinny. I have a Mazda MX5 and it has a very good sound experience. You can never translate the sound of a car’s sound system via You Tube. To me, this sounded awful. Maybe in real life, it’s a lot better.

Si el ruido del motor o del exterior interfiere dentro de la cabina, se acabó el experimento. No es volumen ni graves lo que cuenta para determinar si un equipo de audio es bueno, sino la nitidez y claridad de sonido. Compara un mismo equipo de sonido dentro de un Subaru donde el ruido exterior es infernal o dentro de un Volvo donde la cabina es insonorizada.
Recording the audio for a review is totally pointless... ? I own a 2015 F56 JCW with the HK system and I can tell anyone that reads this that this is not an impressive system by any means. It has an initially decent impression but: 1) Sub-bass is very boomy, muddy, and not tunable due to no full-equalizer in settings. 2) Mid-bass is under represented and if you turn up the bass dial to compensate, the sub-bass gets ridiculous. 3) The tweeters are a bit weak and can be fatiguing to listen to if you try to raise the treble more than 1 notch. Overall it's a pass for a normal car stereo but as a 'premium' option it's very disappointing and BMW (or Harman Kardon for that matter) should be ashamed to market it as such. Or at least charge less for it. Is it better than stock audio? Well at least you get tweeters instead of coaxials - yes it's better - but not by that much. At least you have the flexibility to upgrade your speakers because of the H/K speaker placements.
That's a shame. I had a late 2005 MINI Cooper and ordered it with the Harmon Kardon and I can say that it was the nicest sounding system that i've come across far far far better than the BANG&OLUFSEN one that I had in my A3 S Line Sedan which was dull sounding.
I respectfully disagree. Custom is always better, but the HK is crisp, clear and vibrant (highs, mids, and lows). HK shouldn’t be ashamed as you say, of anything. Maybe you just have a terrible unit in YOUR car.
Is actually not a subwoofer in the trunk Center channel also has a tweeter with the mid range

You have misconted...there is NO subwoofer in the trunk.....there are 2 center speakers, not only one.....
