- For years, the Hallmark Channel has been the de facto home for new Christmas movies involving some of your favorite stars. But some actors are leaving the channel behind, jumping ship for a competitor, and the latest to do so is Candace Cameron Bure, leaving behind such projects as her "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries" franchise.
Candace Cameron Bure has announced that she will be producing, developing, and acting in products for GAC Family. In her announcement, she expressed excitement about her future work in "faith-filled" programming with her new partner.

I don't care who leaves, sad to see some leave , but I disagree with the way Bill Abbott has done this. I live on disability so im not willing to pay for for GAC on different tier on TV. I personally don't like some of the diversity coming to Hallmark so I change channel
and return on next program. I have free movies on Tubi. Pride is a sin and I see a lot of pride on GAC. Pride comes before falls says Bible...let them go...they still have reruns galore on Hallmark Channel.

I have only watched Hallmark movies for twenty years but quit watching all Hallmark channels in October bc of Candace and favorite actresses/actors no longer being in new movies. I don’t miss Hallmark!!

The funny thing is that I'm an agnostic and I don't believe in the practicing of religion, yet I still find myself strongly drawn towards this channel because it isn't focused on "wokeness" like all the other networks nowadays. It's also a true family channel that's appropriate for the whole family.
So glad to see stars taking a stand for their Faith. Drama, romance and money do not make the world go around.
Taking a stand takes courage and sends a message, hopefully Hallmark will listen and get back to what made them great in the beginning.

With all the Christmas stories my 97 year old mother and I laugh and count how many times someone says Hot Chocolate. I know they are sappy same old Christmas stories but Mom really enjoys them and watching them with her will be a forever memory. Thank you Hallmark.

I understand why Candace is leaving. I adore Auroa Teagarden Mysteries. I would have loved her to film one last Auroa Teagarden Mysteries. Just to tie up the storylines and characters. Aida and Charles remarrying. Sally finding Mr Right. Phillip moving on after college. Lynn and Auroa becoming friends. Nick and Ro becoming pregnant and having their first child. It would have been a wonderful gift to their fans.
I m french and since hallmark chose to follow the spirit of the world, I m very disappointed by their lack of courage. I pray since, for Candace, because I know that she loves God. So I m very proud of her. She is courageous and a true friend of God....

I know mine is one man and one woman plus children, but really should be married and have kids after marriage. I do understand if there is a threat to safety why a person leaves the marriage.
Family friendly viewing meaning no vulgar scenes or violence, things young eyes and ears not be exposed to.

Like all of the other actors and actresses who have left Hallmark, they have every right to do that. It's their lives and their careers and their reasons, so it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. I watch some Hallmark movies but have been very disappointed in the direction they are.taking. I loved The Wedding Veil trilogy but would love to have the option of GAC as well. Hallmark can take the same stance as Disney if they want to, but they will lose some of their supporters.

I opted to order all my favorite Hallmark Movies on DVD via Amazon.
I plan to switch to GAC moving forward.

I'm loving the fact that GAC is FAITH-based and FAMILY-centered, whereas, the Hallmark Channels no longer are. It is so nice that there is now a SAFE place to land for all those who seek true faith and family-oriented content and who will be supporting its growth. I really enjoyed the quality of GAC's holiday movie content and production this past 2021 holiday season, and I'm really looking forward to all that they'll have to offer this upcoming holiday season in 2022. I know it will take some time, however, I wish that GAC had new productions throughout the year. Something new to turn to whenever I have to turn away from the Hallmark Channels due to their extremely disappointing and vulgar content.

The Hallmark channel was a wholesome family channel. I no longer feel that way. I support Candace Cameron Bure for standing up for her beliefs. This is America. We have freedoms. Please remember that. If you feel differently then continue to watch Hallmark, but don’t criticize those of us who choose not too.

I got tired of some of Hallmarks Christmas movies the last couple of years. I just skipped them. I am looking forward to seeing some GAC movies, sounds very promising.

With the shift in programming, I don't watch as much Hallmark as I used to. I believe each of us have a choice to live and make our own decisions to what I watch and somethings just doesn't interest me, but that's my decision. When Martin was Aurora's boyfriend I loved that couple, just do not think the guy playing her husband is a good match and that made me sad, loved the chemistry between them so show just lost my interest. Made me sad. But too each their own, means nothing to me, I just have control of my remote contro!!!!
Read the book series. It's storyline is a bit different than the Hallmark movies, but you'll recognize a lot.
I was wondering when she would change companies. Faith & family content with great stories is very important. I was totally disappointed with this years Hallmark Christmas line up. Then I heard the stories of change in leadership and direction of their vision in movie content.
I am looking forward to see what GAC makes and comes up with. And hoping Hallmark will continue to make uplifting movie stories as well.

Hallmark’s new Inclusion path will not lead to stronger ratings. Most inclusion-crowd are elitist and mock the quality of Hallmark’s Polly-Anna approach to life. They will never embrace Hallmark as the patrons of the past, who are exiting FAST! I have cancelled Hallmark in my home.

I'm so relieved that Candace has made the decision to leave Hallmark. I used to enjoy watching it until they brought in same sex couples as I want my children and I to have TV that's based on the family values and traditions that I was raised with. I'm to love all people, just as Jesus does, but I don't condone sin which God's Word expresses as an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." To those of you who get offended by this, it was not written by me but by God Almighty and one day we will ALL have to stand before our Creator. Jesus will lovingly accept you if you just come to Him and ask for His forgiveness and believe in what He did for you at the cross. Think of this, He was beaten, spat on, mocked, cut, stabbed, whipped for YOU. If you were the only one on this earth, He still would have done it to save you. But He gives us free-will to choose life or death, Satan or Jesus, Heaven or Hell. Before God created you, He knew ALL that you would do; the choices you'd make, the decisions, everything! But guess what? He STILL let you have a life of choice. He's that loving and I'm Blessed to call Him my Daddy, my Abba. I will serve no other!

I’m gonna miss Aurora Teagarden. Candace Cameron Bure was a huge part of my childhood and adulthood. She’s an amazing actor and the only thing I watch on Hallmark. That’s why I was so devastated when my mom said she left and there wouldn’t be any more Aurora Teagarden.
While I love hallmark mystery movies and part of When Calls the Heart, Hallmark really does suck. Candence is a fabulous person for standing up for what's right. Most actors and actresses are slime who support worldly rubbish. Thank you Candence! God bless you!

I am disabled and at home all day hallmark has many of my favorite movies other than Christmas like love and Sunshine etc but now i am looking forward to the new gac chanel and many movies i can and want to watch as many times as i have my hallmark movies

I have not liked the direction that Hallmark is taking in their films, and only watch a few now. I don't think Candace has signed an exclusive deal with GAC which would leave her open to also doing content for Hallmark. I will be very disappointed if Hallmark has decided to drop the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, as that is a fan favorite.

Changing beliefs with the times is certainly not biblical. Your parents' generation "opinions" would disagree with this generation's standards of morality. Your grandchildren, unless they have something more than than their opinions to go by, will just be changing their "opinions" according to whatever the latest version of Hollywood thinks. Biblical truths endure and have nothing to do with alternate opinions. God says his truths never change. They don't "change with the times.". They can be relied on generation after generation. You're free to believe whatever you choose, but please reconsider couching any of your " opinions" as bible truths.

As a Christian woman, I so appreciate Ms. Bure and her dedication to her faith as well as her craft. After being surprised by a lesbian love storyline while watching the Hallmark Channel the other day, I cancelled my subscription. While I still love the traditional Hallmark movies, I will be seeking out how to watch GAC for regular viewing!

What use to be a safe channel to watch, where you were able to sit down with your family, has now become an indoctrination into the woke mindset. You can scream and yell all day long about this next comment but the people that watched (note WATCHED, PAST TENSE) Hallmark are not interested in watching gay, LGBTQ relationships when they sit down to watch a TV show. No matter how much you want to justify, brainwash people, and yes, indoctrinate people, those relationships are wrong. But keep on going Hallmark because when it comes down to it the people that are pushing this lifestyle will eventually answer for their decisions.
