You should still go there and get donuts, but instead of eating them yourself you should give them to someone else, or maybe a homeless shelter or something. That way you can make some people happy and also get to see the look of confusion on the donut shop workers faces as you slowly lose weight. 😂
When I was pregnant with my second, I would order poutine for lunch once a week from this pizza place near my work. At one point the guy who answered the phone would just say “you want the usual?” 😂 I didn’t feel like a celebrity, I felt mortified that I ate so much poutine lol
Once they peg your usual, never change it, just go some place else if you want to fine tune it. Life is about having the usual at as many places as possible
BTW, if you are a regular, and you are nice, the people in the restaurants are truly happy to see you, the years I worked in restaurants I truly love seeing the regulars come back, and worried when we didn't saw them for a week, I remember that the thing I worried the most after quiting, was if they were gonna treat my regulars the same way I did. Felt even more awkward later on when I was served by a relatively new employee and asked about the soda, and she replied, "Oh, you're the guy we learned about in the training course."
