Ignore some of the stuff at the end of the comment. It’s a typo that I wasn’t able to fix when I sent it because I didn’t even know it was there. It was stuff that I had typed earlier, but I had thought I had deleted all of, but apparently I didn’t. My phone does that sometimes.

That one on one time with God on their own is so important... my oldest son started last year having his one on one. Loved watching and thanks for sharing Ashley!

Thanks for sharing! We always read our Bible before bed and have an I can read Bible story book that was great for my early reader. I would love to start doing more independent Bible study!

The Action Bible got my son hooked! I bought him the ESV Bible recently, that's Action Bible with a few images mixed in Though I did cover a few images when he was just early 7. I'd like to mention kaleidoscope bibles too! Chapter books written for young readers, basic translation. Great ideas thank you! I need to encourage my son in independent study beyond the Action Bible.

I have been using the Ology for my 7 year old and she uses my old phone to look up the scripture and read that part. Maybe I’ll do the action Bible though to mix it up sometimes. We also do scripture memorization which our church is offering gift cards for. My girls love that part since they are trying to keep up with their friends.

I love that!! That’s great that your church offers those incentives. 👍🏻

I’ve been saying for years that I wanna add Bible in more and make it the center of our learning and I just haven’t done it but it’s time now. I can’t keep thinking about my blocks and fears and just jump in and trust the Lord. I need to MAKE it a priority.

This was wonderful! Thank you! Where do you fit this in your day? We do family Bible with our morning snack, around 930am (I have a pre reader and early reader), and I'm not sure when to send them to do their solo time:)

Great question! I realize I forgot to share that in the video 😆😬 Oops! So for now, I don’t have a specific time… I have included it in their individual work checklist. So it has to be done during individual work time or Quiet Time in the afternoon.
So they do it before math and reading lessons, or right after lunch.

What's your Bible reading plan for upper level kids?

I'm not sure how old you mean with upper level kids. I have just a 13 year old and 11 year old. They use Exploring the Bible and Meeting Jesus! I just posted a video about this a couple weeks ago. ua-cam.com/video/-HS5TAQ4oVQ/v-deo.htmlsi=bJP0AmyE4dn522XB

Hi my daughter is 7 and I’ve been reading the beginners bible with her she insists and wants me to read it she enjoys it to her even though she could read it, should I tell her read that one on her own and another time of day I’ll read another bible to her?

That’s a great question! I’ll admit it was tough to get my kids at that age to read on their own. My older two didn’t read on their own until they were 9, and my youngest read the Action Bible on his own at 7, and wasn’t doing his own Bible until this year at age 8. I say if she insists you read with her, keep doing it! It’s a good time to build relationship with her, and get God’s Word into her hears and heart. Maybe try having her do it once a week on her own to ease her into it. That’s my suggestion! 😊❤

Yeah, I am not a fan of how short the stories in the Bible are. I’m much prefer the complete illustrated children’s Bible by Janice Emerson. I love the action Bible, but can’t read it in print because my skiing eye device that I use because I am blind and cannot read pictures and the text bubbles are so small that it’s hard to read. So I’ve been listening to it on audio and I have the illustrated Bible on both audio and as a print book. Also have American Bible Society read and learn Bible, which is a great tool and I love the fun facts and interactive features in it especially the questions and things like that in the back of the book. B I meant to say I’m not a fan of how short the stories are in the beginners Bible. ible stories and prayers as it could often to who I love the film straight children’s Bible because it couldn’t Absolutely amazingly well written and it is a very good options because it’s worthy, but not too much and the stories are actually more of a story. They’re only separated by the title. What what are you in the audio version of the Bible the background noise of the stuff that’s going on in the illustrations is how I’m able to know what’s going on in the pictures I can’t see the pictures. Very nice pictures very good Bible.
