I went to school in Rhinebeck! A group of us would walk into town to get something to eat before going to girl scouts or a basket ball game or a school dance. We used to go to the Copper Kettle or Schemmies. Always had a great time back in the 60s!!! Still love to go to Fosters Coach House! You always get a great meal and always feel welcomed. I don't know where this pizza place is. But I'll try to find it and try it out.😊😊

There’s a wonderful little piazza that cuts through town. Look for Momiji Sushi & the back entrance to Bread Alone & you’ll find Pizzeria Posto. 🍕

My husband and I lived in New York for 60+ years before our move to Fernandina beach, Florida in 2018. We loved visiting Rhinebeck & have eaten many times at Fosters. I agree the food is excellent. We also had a few family a thanksgivings at the Beekman arms. Such a Great place! Summers were always the fair in Rhinebeck. Yes nice memories! Happy New Year! Great channel!

It 's a great town ' always had a nice community feel to it ' I spent a lot of time here as a kid back in the 80s ' my folks owned a house about 9 miles or so from the town ' originally an old farm house owned by the Wildey family built early 19th century ' remember spending one family Christmas there ' one of the best I remember ' as well as a Thanksgiving alone with my parents ' remember Fosters coach house and the more upmarket Beekman arms ' although I only been in the latter a few times ' my folks also had a space in the antique store at the back of the Beekman where they shipped furniture over from England to sell ' I wonder if that's still going ' think it was originally a bike shop before it was converted ' remember the Grand Union supermarket just a couple of miles out of town where I have many memories shopping ' also spent some time in Boston and Mass where I have equally fond memories.

There’s a thriving antiques market behind the Beekman Arms. My apologies for the delayed response. I somehow missed it. Rhinebeck is a delight. Now residing in Northern Dutchess County, it’s only twenty minutes away.

Great memories at Beekman Arms and there was nothing like London Broil at Fosters!
Why stop at those three places (including the pizzeria) though. Rhinebeck has so many places to eat that if someone leaves hungry, they didn’t visit every place!

Foster’s & their London Broil is still fantastic! Cheese, onions & mushrooms too. It’s perfectly seasoned, cooked to my preferred doneness & served on a great French bread. 🥖

@@justacook845 back in the early 90’s I lived in the village of Rhinebeck. The great thing is that we used to walk to the various restaurants which was simply awesome too.
A short drive away and into Rhinecliff you’ll run into Kip’s Tavern. Check them out the next time you’re in the area.
