Trivia:
- Dream Theater were thanked in the liner notes of this album as "Dream Theatre". In response, Dream Theater (who seemingly dislike the misspelling of their name) thanked Fates Warning back as "Fatez Warning" in a joking manner. Coincidentally, James LaBrie (who does backing vocals on "Life in Still Water") had just joined Dream Theater as their singer during the making of Parallels.
Recorded at Metalworks Studios, Toronto during the summer of 1991.
