  • Hi Friends,
    In this video I have shared my experiences as a dentist migrating from India to Canada without coaching. The books I read for AFK (Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge, ACJ (Assessment of Clinical Judgement), ACS (Assessment of clinical skills) now called as NDECC and Written & OSCE. I also share my first job search experience and how I got my first job as a dentist.
    I hope this gives all the dentists some insights on how to migrate to Canada as a Dentist.
    Thank You

      I think I spent around 4-6 Lakhs INR. I dont remember exactly. But again you sell it when you finish your exams. Its more like an investment that you get back!

    Hi Doctor..That was really a motivational story...Just want a lil bit of clarification regarding under what category visa were you travelling for the exams since you had mentioned that you applied pr only after passing them.I am in the process of giving my ndaeb exam this sept your reply would really help ... :)

      Hi Tazkira, I already had a visitor visa even before I decided to take up the exam. However, majority of the people who take up the exam have a PR visa or a student visa.

    Hey doc. thank you for sharing the information and I have a question about the duration of the whole process, how long it takes to get the license, I understand that it depends upon a person caliber but in general, if someone clears all the exams in the first place or so?

    Hello sir. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, it was great listening and learning from it. I just have a question. Do you think getting jobs would have been difficult for you if you didn’t have the 6years experience in your home country? I also plan on following this pathway of yours of getting the license straight rather than going back to a Canadian dental school. However I only have a year work experience which I think would be a hinderance in getting jobs over there in Canada. Thanks once again for sharing your journey Doctor

      Yes my experience definitely helped. All new grads get a job so the answer to your question - you can still find a job after getting your license.

      Since I started my process under FSW pool 5 yrs ago, it might not be accurate if I post a video now. Please refer to the below mentioned link for current process and updates.

    hello sir, I want to know being a PR if we clear whole ndeb exam can we enroll into any clinical masters exam? or DDS is mandatory for postgraduate clinical masters? kindly reply

    • @thepocketcamtraveller
      @thepocketcamtraveller  8 місяців тому

      If you have done your masters elsewhere from a Non-Accredited university (as listed in ndeb website) then you can give their DSCKE and apply for MS. But this year there were some changes. Please see their website.
      If you do not have a masters from a Non accredited and have Undergraduate degree alone then you must do DDS to enter into their MS.
      Hope that answers your question.

      @@thepocketcamtraveller Thanks alot sir, One more question following your path can we buy instruments from india to practice here in canada to pass our advance equivalency tests? would you recommend that as it would be much cheaper.

    Hi sir, I’m from Chennai.. prosthodontist .. undergoing equivalency process… cleared my AFK last year.. r there enough job opportunities in GTA .. or is it better to take university path..?

    • @thepocketcamtraveller
      @thepocketcamtraveller  3 місяці тому

      Job opportunities are there. I cannot comment if taking a university route will be a better path than direct licensing. It all depends on your outlook and needs. Choose the path that is comfortable to you!

      Yes you can apply for DSCKE if you intend to do MS perio in Canadian universities and get a specialist license. Both exams are competitive! It is all about what you want to pursue!

    Hello doctor,
    I just have some doubts hoping you could clarify. So Back in india we don’t have full name (Just initials) but here while creating NDEB account we write our name as per passport which includes surname (probably including fathers name) but in the documents it is with initials (eg: J.Kaushik) - How did you do in this case ?
    2nd doubt, can I write AFK, ACJ exam in India itself ?
    It would really if I could get some assistance from you ! Could you be available to have a conversation through phone call ?

    • @thepocketcamtraveller
      @thepocketcamtraveller  11 місяців тому

      Hey Kaushik!
      1. I had to get an affidavit notarised for “all one and same” name change . But please check with NDEB for current document requirements.
      2. All exams have to be given in Canada. Please check NDEB for exam centres.

    What about ECA for express entry can I get it from MCC or I need to register at NDEB?thank you

    • @thepocketcamtraveller
      @thepocketcamtraveller  25 днів тому

      ECA evaluation is separate for your express entry and is not related to ndeb.

    As you said, you traveled from India to Canada to give your exams, How did you manage the financial load?
    Also, please guide me regarding the job opportunities after all this hustle? As you know the cost of living is way too high in Canada these days, is it worth it to get into this financially and mentally draining process?

    • @thepocketcamtraveller
      @thepocketcamtraveller  11 місяців тому

      I was working in India while I was giving the exams. That helped me financially. However, I cannot comment on individual’s financial and mental commitment towards the process. It is based on each person’s need and requirements.
      With regards to job opportunities, yes its available!
