You both are doing amazing and both of you are grafters so no mistaking that. The old saying Rome wasn't built in a day is evident and the most important things you have are patience and a vision and the ability to work hard to achieve this. It is really nice to see how you appreciate your blessings and don't take for granted anything......Great qualities. You both deserve it all 🤩. Look forward to watching your progress. Merry Christmas to you both and your furry friends 😍🎄🎅
Hi guys, great to watch the dogs having their freedom and running around😊 if you have any trolls, please try to ignore them and just remember the good comments😢 and I wish you a very Merry Christmas period and hopefully a very prosperous and happy New Year building your home😊
Merry Christmas to you both. Ignore the haters they're just jealous. I always thought 'why not use a digger' but then thought that maybe you were relying less on machinery to be one with nature. Good to hear you're not selling out on just any and every sponsor that wants to throw money at you as that just ruins the channel as so many others do. You do what is best for you both and us die hard viewers will still be here for the foreseeable future.
Meet Christmas to you! I loved watching the dogs play. You guys are off to a great start! I am looking forward to watching you create your homestead on your new land.
Happy Christmas, definitely buy a digger, I have built two houses myself, No 1 hired in diggers No 2 bought a digger, had it for two years so handy and sold it for more than I paid for it. Kubota is the way to go.
Digging is good … so long as you don’t miss type 😂 Wonderful work on the land your doing … good set of fencing tools will go a long way … turn a deaf ear to the naysayers…. Keep going and keep building
Loved this guys felt more personal, and great with you both speaking to cam (what with Rachel being a slacker 😂😂) seriously love both you guys your doing great. Merry Christmas to you all and can't wait to continue to watch your journey unfold.
Hey guys, we love watching your adventure. We moved to a forest in Wales just over a year ago off grid etc and living the dream. Learnt a lot of things, would be great to chat at some point! Good luck and Merry Christmas :)
Best option on digger Hire at least you're fully covered, buying you'll need the upkeep , fuel, parts, storage, plus you need a trailer if you need transporting . Roll on 2025 for all the new ventures coming , Happy Yule ..... New camera top clarity
Happy Christmas peeps. I'm a bit unsure about "the proposal" thing. I can't tell if you were joking or not, did Rachel say yes or no, will it be revealed in a future episode ?
I absolutely said yes 😂 - Cam edited this to try and keep you all in suspense, and cut out the sections that made it clear I was joking. He's fantastic, the proposal was brilliant, and he's planning to share it in a future video 🥹🥰. Merry Christmas!!
Happy Christmas and congrats on the 20k. Worth starting your own Discord, to get your existing subs to help get more! :) I can't help thinking that a border collie is going to tire out a huskie. in a fast race. I was slightly bemused by the digger questions. I think the very premise of what you were doing, answered that one. Still though, there are Americans watching. :P If you do buy a digger, it's worth thinking about second hand as there's a lot less depreciation, in value, when you resell it. Ooooh! Oooh! Can I make a slanderous remark? Naaah. Got nothing. Oooh! I got one! Why does she have to do all the falling over, drunk? Anyway, happy Christmas, you two. I'm terrible with names so I'll probably start to remember yours, in about six months. It's just the way my weird noggin works. Whilst it would've been nice to see, I completely respect you keeping the proposal, private. I've worked with a quite a few streamers and something I would say, if you're acceptive sponsorship, go through that contract, a number of times. They can seen good and once signed, the sponsor is on your back, 24.7 making insane demands, which were in the small print. I'll email you in the new year, I've not spare time and a number of handy skills, that I'm happy to donate for free.
On the ideas about the digger, I'd try and buy one. Just don't get a JCB unless it's a really old one. Believe me they are crap. Kubota are good. But most digger makes are reliable and are quite simple to maintain and work on. I've seen what work you have done with Kevlar so should not be any problem for you. Only drawback is you need a trailer, but then again you can use that for carrying stuff on for the land. Enjoy
Noooo I didn't say no 😂 he's fabulous. He cut out all the parts of the video where I say good things. He's trying to keep you all in suspense I think. 😂
Awsome I want come help As for dining by hand keep it up think about it as protecting the heritage and archaeology why not arrange for few of us to come help doing it Boy do you need folding caravan although the tent looks cosy Helped my mate build his house in 80s in Huna near john o groats You can see it on street view used to b bb
Hey guys, the bigger your channel gets the more shit comments you will receive. But I’m 100% sure the nice comments will outweigh the bad. Keep doing you! ❤
I am typing on behalf of the dogs. They told me they hated being chained up unlike our owners who can move freely anywhere. So when we have the chance of freedom, we run around and chase each other until we are tired out. Then we know we are chained up again like in a prison.
Amazing that you are getting sponsorship opertunitys, all I would suggest is keep the advert relevant and work it in to your video rather than doing a stand alone 30 seconds add (ie, if you were to get a mobile power bank shoe is how you personaly have been useing it, hydration drinks explain how you personly use it and show yourself drinking then throughout the video rather than just telling us about how the product is all sining all dancing). But most importantly of all go get that mother fucking money!
I can't see why anyone should be talking about a well for water and then connecting the conversation with a septic tank. I do not know why you want to build a home on the same location as the old one unless this is something to do with the land purchase orders. A septic chamber from years ago needs totally ignoring as the excrement in there will be foul. I am getting the idea that nobody knows anything about building a home and where to situate it. All this wasted time digging up an old foundation is a waste of time to no gain. If there is a restriction on removing some trees, I would never have bought the land as from the drone shots the existing area is far too small.
In Scotland when you are building rural you have to build on the footprint of the existing building. I think you can go larger by agreement with Building Control.
Philkfoto, I really don't know where to start to respond, as you are wrong on so many levels! The septic tank will need replacing and modernising to meet current planning and building control regulations, but if the current one can be made functional as a temporary measure, then their application will be to replace an existing structure rather than a first-time greenfield build. The old septic tank is downhill from the "well" and on the opposite side of the building. Also most wells in Scotland in this sort of location are simply spring-line chambers that are not deep. The contamination risk is more from uphill surface run-off than from a down-hill septic chamber (the leach-field from the septic tank will be even further down the slope towards the main road). In practice, the most likely contaminants in the well water will be Cryptosporidium, followed by E. coli - both from deer grazing further up the hill. The old foundation comes with an old level pad, which will be very useful on a hill-side site in the short-term. The plot is fairly small, but a very reasonable size for a domestic building-site in UK. It is quite likely that the best location for the new house is where the old house was...for the same reasons that the original builders chose to build it there!
Merry Christmas guys. You are awesome young people. I can’t wait to see what you do with your lives. Much love xx

OMG the dogs really enjoyed the zoomies! A tiny house that is designed to be added to might be a good idea. All the best to the both of you.
Merry Christmas guys, my husky is 16.5 years old, still gets the zoomies. Spends 110% of his time trying to figure out how to escape.
Looking forward to 2025. Best wishes for a wonderful future.

Hiring a digger is a good option but needs planning .
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, the camera is much better; some of us suffer from really bad motion sickness, so this is an improvement. The Mics are a huge win!
Happy Christmas and congrats on the 20k. Worth starting your own Discord, to get your existing subs to help get more! :)

Please it is happy Christmas do not fall into that trap it is bad enough it is so commercialised let alone take away the real reason for this period.
