We just bought a 4 row 7000 with the dry fertilizer bins on ours. Can’t wait to get out next year and do some planting. Nice 1486, we got an IH 5488, IH 3288, New Holland 1530, Farmall International 706, Farmall Super M-TA, Massey- Ferguson T0-30, and a Ford NAA. Keep up the great work Pete! There’s not many small farmers like us around anymore

It is looking good. My Dad's planter had flat chains down to the tires. Had to remove them to go fast down the road. Those plateless planters were popular.

A 7000 John Deere is like a small block Chevy! Everyone has one ,everyone makes parts for them and they don't work to bad! Never seen a Melro plow but makes sense it has Radex bottoms

I see you can level your planter with tractor hitch. That’s nice. I would shim the gauge wheels tighter to seed discs.

Those melroe plows sure are unique and cool! just don't see em anymore.

Sometimes those clutches look good but they skip. I bet there's a lot of 7000's in the field yet.

I think this one was getting worn out.

New sub!! Where are you located?
For organic you could be making compost tea for in furrow!!
I did a video of rebuilding them seed meters. Might help you??
100% replace closing wheels with stud kit and kinze wheel from shoup. They last a lot longer.

Thanks for the sub. I'm about an hour southeast of La Crosse WI. I'm just an old retired dairy farmer who still putters around on the farm while I'm still able because I enjoy it.

Are chains lubed and limber, moving freely, and adjusted up? Clutch not normally connected with skips.

I need to look into replacing the clutch on my 7000 to. Before I bought it someone made a repair by welding on it. It is ok for now but hate to let it go to long.

Not too bad a job to change it as long as the bearings aren't stuck to the shaft.

Does the shaft split at the clutch?Or is it one piece?@@farmerpete
