  • Lymphedema is the swelling of a body part due to abnormal accumulation of edema fluid. It's caused by a deficient or damaged lymphatic system. Physical therapy can help. Physical therapist Deana Benjamin explains what a typical PT session might be like and how PT can help people living with lymphedema. This was very helpful. Thank you. I had cancer when I was 12, I'm now 57, and I've had a leg that gives me trouble on and off for the last few years. But just recently it has gotten very bad and never goes away. My doctor said there is nothing to be done and when I asked about massage he said it would not help. This video confirms my suspicion that I need a new doctor!
