So the key doesn't need to be inserted in the ignition? And my understanding is you cannibalized the transponder from the old key into the new one correct? Does this work in case I want to create a duplicate?
Seems like theres quite a few ways, the other way Ive seen is connect the wire. close the door. unlock the door with the master unlock switchin on the drivers door. press the unlock and the door should lock/unlock.. although that doesnt work for me. Do you have the mhz of the key ? what rev?
There seems to be a variation of methods depending on whether it’s a UK, US, or JDM car. But this should be the same from rev A-C JDM cars, I’m not able to test it on a Rev D for me to say.
Well on the standard ECU you need an ecutek license which I had BR developments install for me. That’s rev A-C. For a Rev D you can map them anyway. I am using a link g4x ecu which is fully open to map. Is that what you meant?
been trying this on and off for months...still no luck. I bought a used spare that matches the original from Japan and zero luck..fresh batteries and all!
Thanks ❤ very useful ❤
Just code my keys with help from your video so so easy 😊thanks
Great stuff. I’ve had a few people say it didn’t work so I was abit confused haha.
@@InitialB only thing I did different was standing outside the car and it connected otherwise the same

@@faustini69 no idea on the Mhz. But this was a rev C
Going to be breaking my car tomorrow now 😂 ive looked at these connectors when the car was in bits and did wonder ill put it to the test
Amazing! Does that only work on certain revisions? Mines a rev A and someone has put a cheap nasty keyfob thing on it

@@InitialB mate once she's done your more than welcome to do a video mate will have to meet up and let you see it in person when it's completed
I'm curious to know how you mapped your ECU to squeeze more performance. Any tips?

will this method work with ANY subaru keyfob in the world for my 99 GT-B ?
Erm I don’t see why not, but I couldn’t say for sure sorry

Iv tried every possible way to program my rev c, nothing works. Im starting to think theres something else going on
Where did you get the fob from?
It’s a guy called Murray Storm. Subaru replacement key services uk
Thanks for this. Do you know if it’s the same sequence for the original 2 button key?
Mine responds but then seems to loose the config after I unplug.
@@darrenbayliff yeah it worked the same for my original key.
