I use 4 cameras, live switching in OBS .
I edit allot but that's purposeful, you could record it in way that doesn't require editing in OBS.
Also handy to have the sound meter in OBS so you know when your muted :P
The trick is to set up scenes rather than switching using sources.

Where did you get the board component itself? I've tried to get someone to repair the same part and they say I need a donor board, which is stupid expensive for just that part.
