Do the bass and drums do quarter notes instead of those lovely triplets in the breakdown section?

Hey Steve. At the beginning, the drums are playing 8th notes in 4/4, not sure the exact time signature though. Could be a swung 4/4 or just a 6/8 which can be alternated, or modulated, to 12/8 like a slow blues. 12/8 just means within every measure there are doubled (double the amount) of quarter notes (crotchets) actually played, though this can be cleverly/cheekily modified depending on the skill and experience of the musician/s as I've hinted at above. Stevie Ray Vaughan utilised the 12/8 on his very slow tunes.
It sounds like Vinnie is doing a 12/8 in triplets.
Do note though they could be just doing the regular 4/4 that they were doing in half-time (tempo divided by 2). On second thought I think that's what they were simply doing.
4/4 with triplets on the drums in a 12/8 style to jazz it up, throw the listener off, and most importantly make the song more surprising in context of the verse+chorus, and more interesting.
The second part sounds like Vinnie was on the crash on every second beat, while doing his triplets on the double bass drums.
Rex sounds like he did the regular E on the first beat, common in heavy metal breakdowns. On the second part to the breakdown, Rex sounds like he's playing 8th notes (quavers).

You have 2 dates listed here. 1993 in the title & 1989 in the track breakdown. Both are wrong. Its July 21st, 1990.
1. Anyone familiar with the band can tell by Phils voice alone this DEFINITELY isnt 1993.
2. If it was 1993 there would be songs from VULGAR. There arent any. Also, there WOULD NOT be songs from POWER METAL...
3. If it was july 1989, the set list would be mostly POWER METAL not mostly CFH.

@@integrity101 I just was curious. I put 1993 because that's the year the bootleg was released. I only uploaded it because I fixed the tape speed. And I did this a long time ago I can't remember much. I'll listen to it again.

@@integrity101 Update: I just found he referred to that year but it's the same thing, a few days away from the launch of Cowboys From Hell IS 1990, so thank you for the heads up. I only listened to this at most twice after I fixed the speed (which I forgot I mentioned in the description, see I forget everything lol). I maybe tuned in and out at the 32:40 mark every time I listened to this. No wonder the best tracks on every album are at the beginning hahaha.
