I’m a great believer in using products that are designed for a purpose , that’s why I use a camera lens for photos and a spotting scope for spotting .
This is so ergonomic!!
This is the setup I have using a Nikon D500. The main disadvantage is that it's a lot more gear to carry
around if you have to do some walking. Taking pictures needs a bit of practice.
In my experience you need to use the eyepiece and not live view (for a number of reasons). You will need
a high ISO and high shutter speed, and you won't see much in the preview. Pictures will look very under
exposed, but you can bring them back in Post processing. Just don't expect pin sharp pictures.
Would a D5100 be a suitable camera to use ? And is it possible to watch the camera LCD screen while shooting video ?
cheap camera, lol
how can i digiscope with a sony dsc hx 300?
I'm happy to hear you are interested in digiscoping, and I would recommend giving us a call at 1-800-289-1132 so we can discuss in more detail what you would like to do, and what the best setup for you would be. As for the Cyber-Shot HX300 it would most likely not be a great choice for digiscoping, as it has a substantial built-in optical zoom.
O fool, do you lose something if you are photographed through the telescope in order to make sure?
So it is all manual focus?
