I absolutely love this series Dillon! I worked my ass off with this new job and just ordered a lot of paints and essentials from Angelus yesterday, and I got a vinyl machine and airbrush not too long ago! In a week or so I'll be starting out customizing some friends shoes, your videos have helped me learn a lot! This new series especially helps me to learn more so thank you! Keep it up you're amazing!
i really wanna get a vinyl cutter but they are so expensive. i already have an airbrush but that was around $200 just for airbrush materials
@@jd.customs its great! I got a Cricut from Walmart for about 200$. I use it to put custom stickers on my cups/car/anything else as well as going to start using it for customs. All my paints came in today!

what happen to the most important part of the custom the actual paintiong of paisly pattern u just got me to watch almost 20 min of video to just magicaly appear on shoe where could i learn never the less thank u for ur videos
In full transparency, it was filmed but the entire portion was out of focus and there was no way for us to keep it in the video 🙃😫. Believe me it killed us when we saw the footage since there was no way to redo it but lesson learned

I also have an idea for it. Did you do any mistakes in making of these cleats? Maybe you could include mistakes you make and how you fix them. In the Customize & Chill style of course. Would definetely fit into the natural theme of the series!

Love the chill vibes! I like how you put the camera overhead and over your shoulder so it actually feels like we're getting a first person glimpse.
I'd suggest \getting some close up shots that pan around the shoe as well to make it a little more cinematic but overall awesome work as always :)

All I saw was an airbrush and some regular brushes...the toothpick must have been used for the paisley we didn’t get to see. BTW love this video style and look forward to more!

Great work. I found the cotton balls leave to many little hairs as does the sanding (stitches). But, even though Angelus doesn't mention sanding on their card, I guess it's necessary. When I do more I'll try both, one with sanding and one with just the leather preparer (or minimal sanding and avoid the stitching). What do you use as opposed to Angelus deglazer? As the bottle is not very large and evaporates very fast (just acetone). Hey, you skipped over the whole graphics part.

Did you use all solid Angelus colors or did you do alot of mixing?
Yeah almost everything had to be a custom mix

How come you used nail polish remover when preparing the shoes rather than the angelus deglazer like usual? I know it works as well as acetone and people use it often but do you prefer it more over the angelus preparer and deglazer?
I keep real acetone inside old nail polish remove bottles !

That’s a ryobi detail sander that helps do all the hard work for sanding down the shoes
Question: at 15:52 you erased a blue line. How in the world did you do that without taking off the tan? Real talk, I can’t tell you how many times I have had to start a whole panel over on a shoe because of a miss placed line!
I wet the qtip in my mouth slightly and rubbed it off !

so ive seen like 2 people (you being one of them) sand the shoe before painting it, is that important, do you have to do that and doesnt that mess the shoe up? i know you have to remove the factory finish but cant you just do that with acetone?
It’s the most important step for prep work, mandatory

@@ilooklikemilkacetone just removes the factory finish it doesn’t give the paint anything to actually bite onto. I think you’re probably thinking of very coarse grit sandpapers you would be using with woodworking which isn’t the case here
