I genuinely don't think this comes close to the original..it's a NICE cover nonetheless. It's missing the rawness of the original and replacing it with a studio recorded orchestra and autotuned vocals. Go listen to a live version of the original (from the 90s) and it's very close to the studio recorded version. Still a really nice cover.

For me it was similar when i red the title just some 10s into song. Remaking something like that rarely goes well, but even my critical mind could not find any flaws that would make me just switch it off. Then around 3mins in i was in full focus mode... Totally un-asked suggestion, slipped in while i was looking away to check names of the next rare industrial metal tunes, suddenly blew me so far away from my search :D Never heard of these guys and never heard any good remakes of this classic. Until now and actually that humble start and raw sound of drums gives impression that even if it has more hopeful/brighter vibes added, guys kept the original first instead of boasting their own musical skills. So yea, still on repeat, still no flaws and it surely is worth some serious rep. points :)

Oh. My. God. The sign that I'm really liking a song is when I go upstairs to get my best IEMs, and my daughter said she had never heard me go up that fast before. She legit thought there must be an emergency. Once I restarted, I was blown away by the nuances I was hearing. Huge props to all of your talented performers, but most especially to the arranger. The flutes and piccolos, the violins, the brass, the ... xylophone? All used to absolute best effect. That's *hard work* and I applaud it. I do *not* say this lightly, because I believe the original is one of the all time greats and Dolores O'Riordan will live forever in my heart, but: you surpassed it. I literally cried at how good it was. Thank you.

Even better if you have a DAC/amp. It's *so* much better than the built-in sound on just about any computer, and mine has its own volume/bass/treble controls, all for short money and not much more space than a deck of cards.
