Make - Build a Toolbox for a Four Wheeler ATV
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 жов 2024
- I make this handy toolbox for the front of the ATV to store and transport battery and gas powered tools for work around the yard. I use scrap pieces of baltic birch plywood for the bottom and sides of the box. Baltic birch plywood is extremely strong and does a great job of holding nails and screws. I use half inch plywood for the front and back of box.

Its such a good feeling when things/ tools fit perfectly in their place
Cool idea, I just need such a box for my tools!
I like videos like this one. A problem/need was identified and a quick and easy solution developed. All of the little internal additions make great use of the space.
Jon - it's hard not to like any of your videos. You present them so well.
Thank you!
Excellent!!! Great build!!! The quality of your work and design is impressive and a delight to watch!
I always enjoy watching your videos and projects. I especially like that sometimes things need rethinking or redesign and you show this in your videos. Keep it up
Thanks Peter!
Great video Jon, thanks!
I’ve been thinking of building something like this kind of chainsaw+accessories box.
Thanks for the inspiration!
That box is a great place for some FastCap Kaizen Foam to keep items from rattling around. Also, a hinged lid would be nice to keep out the elements & critters. Great video Jon, thanks for sharing!
What a fantastic use of scrap wood!
Great solution, Jon! Cool to know that battery powered tools are doing good enough of a job now that you're using them this often.
Thanks Bruce! Yeah so Nice to just pull the trigger and the saw cuts
Great little project. Very handy and practical. Good use of scrap materials too. Thank you.
Thanks Michael!
Hi Jon ! I'm From Brazil and watch every video you launch, they're really awesome, thanks and good luck !!!
Love these useful style projects of reclaimed materials.
Thanks David!
Great idea John, and perfect timing! Waiting for my chainsaw to get back from 'the shop'. I'm going to build something similar for my quad.
Those are fun little projects! Nice job John
Greetings from Mexico Jon, thanks for inspiring me to do fantastic things
Beautiful, Wish I had your shop, would be so nice to have a place to build things
Is it just me that Jon's videos are like almost therapeutic?
Muy buena idea maestro Jon Peters gracias
Cool build
Nice! I have the same Bayou 250. This will replace the milk crate I have on itnow. Thanks for the Idea.
Wonder how many wish they had this.... Simple and brilliant! Considered some kind of a guard for the handle sticking out to avoid clipping it on a corner or tree? Just a thought...
Good idea
Very nice work Jon! You always have some great ideas & projects............... :)
Great idea and execution, Jon.
keep making the videos. I love them, no matter what the project!
Thanks Phil I appreciate it!
This is so much better than trying to bungee cord everything on the rack!
Good job Jon
Great use of scrap wood!
I have a similar quad and bought a canvas bag for it. I wouldn't put a chain saw in it. Scrap wood is genius. Good job. BTW Color is fine.
Good job as always
Nice work Jon! 👍👊
Wow! Great video and I am so impressed with your following here! Congrats on you success with UA-cam!
Great job!
I was expecting to see you ride into the sunset at the end
I thought about that:)
Nice video Jon! looks like it will work out very well' Thanks for sharing it with us.😎👍JP
Thanks JP!
You're very welcome Jon! 😎
great idea.
What are those brackets called that you used to secure the box to the rack ? Thank you great video.
I think wire clips
Like way you attached with one hole straps
If you use the Stihl saw, where did you transport the fuel?
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥👍
NICE 👌
Does it bounce much when you drive? Wondered if having some kind of carpet scrap under saws or adding bungee straps over top?
That’s a good idea Tom
pretty cool!!
Neat.
jon peters, boa noite sou do brasil, queria saber qual e a madeira mais utilizada ai na sua regiao para marcenaria. obrigado!!!
Really thought you were gonna put half circle finger notches in for the battery holder
I was thinking about that
Хороший ящик получился! Только мне кажется нужно сделать какое то запирающее устройство для инструмента инеча он выпадет от тряски во время движения.
Seems like battery powered garden tools are here to stay!
Yeah they are so easy to use
Why not add a couple of 1/4 inch blocks to the bottom to make the battery stick up for 1 hand operation
Didn’t think of it
kept saying for wood sake run it through the planer jon hahha then u painted it white :( screwed my sayings :D good job jon as always :)
jon peters, good night I'm from Brazil, I wanted to know which wood is most used there in your region for joinery. thank you!!!
jocemir souza in french, Bois d’épinette
Can I import to Brazil? can you help me with some company website?
Try www.goodfellowinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/GF_Guide_Produits_2018-2019.pdf Can’t help you more sorry
looks good but a red A Team stripe would be the real deal
Ha ha :)
5:30 use these to attach cargo to qaud
What are all of the measurements on this ?
Why not add a lid with piano hindge on it?
Maybe
👍👋👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👐
Esqueceu de fazer a tampa.
Nice job as usual Jon .
