The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the major men's professional basketball league in North America, and is widely considered to be the premier men's professional basketball league in the world. It has 30 teams (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada), and is an active member of USA Basketball (USAB),[2] which is recognized by FIBA (also known as the International Basketball Federation) as the national governing body for basketball in the United States. The NBA is one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. NBA players are the world's best paid athletes by average annual salary per player.[3][4]
The league was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA).[1][5] The league adopted the name National Basketball Association on August 3, 1949, after merging with its rival National Basketball League (NBL). The league's several international as well as individual team offices are directed out of its head offices located in the Olympic Tower at 645 Fifth Avenue in New York City. NBA Entertainment and NBA TV studios are directed out of offices located in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The NBA originated in 1946 with 11 teams, and through a sequence of team expansions, reductions, and relocations currently consists of 30 teams. The United States is home to 29 teams and one is located in Canada.
The current league organization divides thirty teams into two conferences of three divisions with five teams each. The current divisional alignment was introduced in the 2004-05 season. Reflecting the population distribution of the United States and Canada as a whole, most teams are in the eastern half of the country: thirteen teams are in the Eastern Time Zone, nine in the Central, three in the Mountain, and five in the Pacific.
The Boston Celtics have won the most championships with 17 NBA Finals wins. The second most successful franchise is the Los Angeles Lakers, who have 16 overall championships (11 in Los Angeles, 5 in Minneapolis). Following the Lakers, are the Chicago Bulls with six championships, all won over an 8-year span during the 1990s. The San Antonio Spurs have five championships, all since 1999, and the Golden State Warriors also have five championships overall (2 in Philadelphia, 3 in Oakland).

Paul George didn't say it though.
Astrox about Damien Lillard’s game winner. I was just referring to it since he took a bad shot too.
@@buckzz___ It wasn't bad, the shot clock was running out. Dames shot was for the series

Lmao
That's why I take off shit that takes too long

Paul George's shot wasn't dumb :/
Patriot2K . If he missed it then it would’ve been considered dumb
@@rcho223 the shot clock didn't reset though so when you looked at it it was still going down
@@rcho223 He can make that shot, not dumb for him
@Splatisms Look closer at 3:23 the clock reads 2.x seconds and he decides to take the shot, then the clock resets to 23 while he's already decided. Also the clock shouldn't reset to 24 but 14.
But yet he called Dame's game winner over him a bad shot. Someone should show him this play.
4:00 looks like a 1st grader playing basketball for the first time 😂
That laker who shot it over himself wasn't dumb, he had no time and wanted to get another shot off
Pink Yoshi ...Was kinda dumb to shoot it right on the head of someone tbh.
What do you mean that laker huh you don’t know the goat huertas? Cmon now
He could of turned around quickly and shot it
Let's be honest here, the 2nd shot was a prayer, I don't even know what to call the first attempt, i never seen anyone take off one foot like that. Looked to me like he was trying to fool the defender, and nearly broke his own ankles.
I think your right. He had no choice

i was dead when he said that
3:02 wasn't a dumb shot the clock expired. smh😥

Nothing wrong with JR smiths shot, he's a shooter who got a WIDE open shot. IN a tied game, you gotta take that even with 20 seconds left. If they were up then you try to run some clock but you not gonna get a much better shot than that to take the lead.
I agree, he could´ve taken more time tho... he was really wide open
That's terrible because if you miss, the other team could take the rebound and win the game. He should take the final shot. 'Win the game or go to overtime' is better than 'Win the game or lose it'.
Delta bro, that was the best look at winning the game that they had. Wouldn’t of got a better shot if they held it.
can't be mad that he missed, was a smart shot. even though he could've dribbled closer and pulled up it was a good selection
Its called taking the last shot idit

Yeah exactly, the clip always gets meme-d but really, what else was he supposed to do? Bothered me at the time when nobody pointed that out, it's pretty obvious that was his only option
@Jacob Tyler Marcelo huertas
He could passed it didn’t have to shoot that

@@ipod1590 no its his shooting form I think the guy only put this here because he shoots while there's 15 seconds left he can pass it and he shoot it even though he knows that he can't shoot
JR went from shooting one of the dumbest shots to win the game to not even shooting the ball to win the game.
LBJ fouled......but J Richardson deserved it for showboating
deserved the non-call?? uh no foul is a foul kobe did plenty of in-game 360's
Paul George’s wasn’t stupid. It went in and the shot clock didn’t restart in time so it wasn’t his fault
Nemo_123o no it was stupid.
Stupid good.

Looking back at it, this is how much the NBA has changed. During the first play of the video, people back then called it a “bad or dumb shot” but in today’s era of the 3 point line that might have been considered normal. And of course I am aware that it is Andrew Bynum shooting it but still...
Lebron fouled tf outta J rich lol
Trey Simmons THANK YOU
lol yooo literally all arm!
No, he blocked the ball in mid-air. That was a dumb dunk attempt anyways. J. Richardson could have done a regular dunk but he wanted to be flashy and do a spinning 360 dunk.
He literally hit nothing but rich's arm come on bro
+Jose Rivero he didnt even touch the fucking ball lmao
Just wanted to say thank you for not having a 30 seconds intro for a five minute video. You da real MVP.
how is the paul geroge shot dumb ?? he made it
clυтcн 2ĸ logic right there ..."he made it" if I shoot from full court to open a quarter and I make it dies that not make it a dumb shot?
But he thought the shot clock was expiring and thought he only had a second or 2 to throw up a shot.
He thought the shot clock reset
Jakeith Mosley according to 2k no
Szechuan jk but read the guys comment above you and also listen to the commentator you'll know why he shot it
4:43 Foul on James. He hit him on the wrist
Sport Theories With DJMIke they don’t care about the wrist getting hit because it’s pretty much like hitting the ball or blocking the ball. If it hits your fore arm or arm then that’s a foul.
Yeah Lebron fouled him. You cant hit the wrist like that. In a close game though just dunk normally.
He fouled him and traveled at the same time.
@@god8315 lebron did foul him
God no it’s not lmao
Lbj definitely fouled J Rich
jstdun no he didn't
Floyd Gavin Look at the replay from the top view. He got A LOT of wrist

jstdun He wasn't getting the call because how dumb that decision was. His team was down and he decides to be flashy when he should just lay the ball up or dunk it regulary

I agree but the macgee one is dumb because that fool flopped extra hard
@@addisontudor3641 do you? There is no rule that says you must dribble out if you are winning, either play defense or dont lose so much that its "disrespectful" but getting mad and physical is immature as hell
y raise the score even higher than it has to be. The other team already is upset about losing and want the game to be over. Also saying don't lose so much is (no offense) ridiculous. The other team would obviously try their hardest to win (unless they're tanking ig). They are getting "mad and physical" because they love the game so much. It's bad sportsmanship to make them feel worse by making ur lead even bigger, even if there isnt a rule on it.
Especially when it's a wide open layup and no one wants to play defence. They don't quit playing when they are winning in any other sport.
That intro is earrape
King Z It scared tf outta me since I had headphones on max volume.. 😂
That one where the laker guy threw it over his head wasn't dumb because he had to get a shot off before the shot clock expired and he didn't have time to turn around and shoot

Wasnt dumb ? Are we watching the same video ?
Frank Gregus he hoax one of the top three point shooters in the game today in nick young staring him dead in the face nick would hit the three that was a dumb shot
Yes but it would have been after the shot clock expired.

Dumb decision to do that dunk by J-Rich but clearly at 4:46 there was a foul.
lebron got all arm on that block...
Hans Heusser might wanna check that again😂his thumb clearly knocks the ball out before his hand hits his wrist
Justin Allen ...lol k m8.
It's dumb because now he has to shoot foul shots and risk not getting the free 2 points. If he wouldn't just dunked it, he would have got easy 2 maybe even three if James still fouls
I don't think he worried too much about making free throws. He may not be as automatic as some others, but J-Rich would have hit 2 free throws there. I guess he just wanted to show that a former Dunk Champ still had something up his sleeve.
Will Heuzzer yeah that wasn’t dumb let on blocked him lol
4:30 "sometimes you wonder if he understands..." lol he sounded so disappointed
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought this was gonna be a JR Smith dumb highlight reel.
Andrew Bynum was shooting three’s a center before it was a regular thing. This man started it
The video would've have been valid if j.r. wasn't in the title.

facts j.r the goat all his shots are good shots
Robert Yeah and the one guy who chucked it backwards on the Lakers’ (I don’t remember his name) shot wasn’t stupid either. What else was he supposed to do, just not shoot it and have zero chance of saving the possession? You might as well try and see if you can make it
The moral of the story is.. if Tyson Chandler rebounds, hold the ball lol
Last play was all wrist😠
The GOAT agree
Should of been a foul😡 I agree with you
if you look at the replay in slow mo you can clearly see LeBron hits all ball with the side of his hand
The GOAT L u dumbass idiot no it wasnt
KodaT1O Stfu tryna defend LeBron. It was clearly a foul dumbass
JR Smith effin' up highlights are the best!
Don't leave somebody open standing under your own basket then complain about it
"Sometimes you wonder if he understands" - The Czar
One time my friend shot over the backboard while shooting a 3 in a high school basketball game😂
Lol...the thumbnail is on pointtt
Richardson was clearly fouled on that last play, in the last replay they show a perfect angle, lebron didn’t even touch the ball
Bynum: I just saw my girl walk in the gym and she looked at me
Bargnani: But my rec coach always said shoot it whenever I’m open
😂😂
Pg's shot isnt dumb it was awesome. The shot clock didnt reset
it was suppose to and hibbert told him to shoot that
This is why coaches always talking about fundamentals. No showboating. Except for Paul George that shot was pure fire
4:47 when you started to realize they wanted LbJ to be the face of the NBA how the fuck was that a block and not a foul you can clearly see he just smashed richardsons wrist, not saying he should be doing a 360 down 2 but cmon htf is that not a foul..
KyrieWiz13 ...did you see the replay? Don't call people haters cuz they speak the truth that was a foul
when did I call people haters?
KyrieWiz13 LMAO you deleted the comment
what comment lmao
It was clean slow it to .25
If they got scores, then it’s not dumb but pure confidence. Not only the superstars but. Everyone need the confidence to score.
Still makes no sense why you put the lakers marcelos shot in here, there's less than 2 seconds on the clock wtf was he supposed to do?
Fr
also because of the time on the clock ... he was blocked and that happens, now when harden forces a 3 ball and dont even hit the rim, with a lot of time on the clock no one bats an eye
0:44 you know you fucked up when jr smith is asking what your doing
2:17 At least he made it. lol
It's uncalled for, bad sportsmanship.
1:45 Did he think he was going to leap all the way over him? LMAO
What kind of poor sports get angry at the other team for scoring? Just because you're losing doesn't mean you can give up on defence and aren't allowed to get scored on
bradhuygens its bad sportsmanship.
Aren't the athletes paid to play basketball and put up points? If scoring helps increase their end season stats, then a player is surely justified to score even if the game will be won anyway, and especially if the opposing team gives up on defence
bradhuygens it's seen as disrespectful. Unless a game is close, most teams elect to dribble the clock out.
Wtf, guys. Are you crybabies or what? How is that disrespectful? The game ends only when the clock comes to 0. And not if the difference in score is big.
Aндреј Бугариновић stupid
Lol JR smith complaining at bargnanis dumb shot and in the very next clip JR Smith takes the exact same dumb shot 😂
Man...trying for a memorable dunk when you're 20 up isn't dumb.
You can tell bynum really wanted to make that 😂
2:19 wasn’t stupid
even the first one wasn't stupid too
Adam Ramadan but it was dirty
Paul George shot the ball because the shot clock didnt reset when it was supposed to.
Poul George's shot was dumb one? Okey bro go get some sleep
Levani Khoshtaria but if he would've miss then what ?
Kelley Brown he shot it because the shot clock didn’t reset
And maybe you should go get a spelling dictionary.
Kelley Brown It would be the shot clock operator’s fault
Levani Khoshtaria the shot clock didn’t reset so he just shot it

Paul George's shot was a dumb shot?! @ 3:20
If it missed it would have been a really stupid shot
It's time to update this after the 2018 nba finals game 1
Who's here after JR Smith f'd up in the finals
Hi
That shot by Bynum probably enlighted the Warriors to be who they are today
dislike becuz u put the paul George one in here
It was a dumb idea to shoot the ball. Make it or not.
Jacob It’s not his fault. He thought the shot clock was running out because whoever was in charge of the clock fucked up.
The clock hadn't re-set and so Paul George thought that he had to heave it up or there would be a 24-second violation. Only while in the act of shooting did the clock re-set.
lol if steph do that, would you still consider it dumb?
It's amazing the history of the nba is only 10 years. I'm telling you, the things I learn on YT
Jr Smith is the lucky he can ball. No one would hire him to do shit else
when lbj gets fouled everyone wants to say he got destroyed but as soon as vice versa the world explodes

3:27 How is this dumb even though the shot clock didn't reset?
On that Bargnani shot, let's not forget to name the Melo shot before that. He still had 5 seconds on the shot clock and was double teamed; someone was open.
Why do NBA players get so butthurt when players score at the end of a blowout game? Wtf? You're supposed to play basketball the entire 48 minutes. These dudes' egos are softer than babies' bums.

The losing team trying to raise their score even though they already lost should be just as acceptable as the winning team trying to score even though they already won
1:34 bruh this guy think his MJ, dunking in FT line
Honestly if he hadnt lost the ball he may have made it javale is actually quite an athlete.
Richardson’s dunk that Lebron fouled him on was the Refs not doing their job.
J.R. Smith never thinks at the end of a game
Okay man Paul George didn't take a dumb shot. He saw the clock didn't reset at first and just took the shot.
JR Smith just struck again.......... He Blew game one of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Anyone else notice Quinn Snyder as an assistant with the Lakers during the Bynum shot? Turned out to be a great hire by the Jazz
Thumbs down for the intro AND outro super struggle bars
Of course JR Smith is the thumbnail for this
Why are people getting mad because someone is finishing a shot with seconds left in the game when they are winning by blowout? Don’t play shit and leave them open on purpose then like wtf
The PG 13 shot wasn't dumb, he knew that the shot clock should have reset, which it didnt
It did but was a little late

"LeBron James with the block"? That was 100% hand!!!! Foulest foul I've seen today.
the hand isn't a foul if they holding the ball btw. the hand is considered the ball when a player is holding the ball.
Isn't 4:47 a foul?

Kumi S. Nope.
It only looks a like a foul cause of the way he fell. Lebron did block the ball off his hands though.
Jose Rivero you need an eye exam, Lebron's hand was all over J Rich's arm lol.
its like on old NBA live, your trying to steal , posession changes and you end up shooting full court random shot.
