Sylus and MC's relationship definitely starts off as a physical one. I think this card made it even more clear. Both Sylys and MC giving in to their primal desires after all the pent-up sexual tension all this time. This is also one of the reasons why they went all the way and it didn't just stop at kissing unlike the other LIs. There is also a sense of emotional detachment especially in the morning after where they do not confront about what happened between them instead just gets right to work. Tbh I kind of feel for the MC. She is clearly attracted to him (given the myth, there's just no way she could possibly stay away from him) but is mentally trying to fight off the greed or should I say, desire. The line when she touches his eye and asks, "Can I be the only one in your eyes?" again shows how she sort of yearns for him but also doesn't want to put a label on whatever that's going on between them because at the end of the day, it's a forbidden relationship. She is a Hunter and Sylus is the one that the association is looking for. But in this moment, she throws caution out of the window. Sylus is also on the same page. He is greedy too and he admits that. For now, their relationship is purely based off on physical attraction and longing for each other but both are too afraid to confront on labeling their relationship or talking about their feelings and emotions. Sylus, especially is holding back. While he does show physical affection, he never truly talks about his own emotions and feelings when it comes to the MC, especially in this card. I do like how he asks for consent multiple times because he too knows that indulging in this forbidden relationship will be putting both of them in jeopardy but well, he doesn't care either. I would honestly love to see Sylus being more honest with himself and not leaving the MC guessing all the time. I guess i want to see him being more earnest and exploring his own feelings and being vocal about that. I would like to see more romance and love between MC and Sylus because after that myth of his, these two deserve their HEA! Another thing that i am noticing is there's a underlying theme of power tussle and control between them. And, at this time, Sylus is pretty untamed. So, i am just guessing when he is fully in love and realises that, he might be more tamed and even be a bit more submissive to the MC. He does say, "Oh, you want control? Unfortunately, i cannot give it to you. At least, not yet" which means he is not completely opposed to the idea of letting MC have control.
I don't know about other LIs but Rafayel and MC also did "that thing" and didn't stop with just a kiss like you said. But with a different depiction than Sylus' card
Interestingly, I had a completely different reaction to this card. I didn't think it was purely physical at all and thought the entire card was intensely romantic and intimate. Like yes, they're giving in to physical desire, and they're still trying to figure out their dynamics and exactly where they stand, and Sylus still has work to do on letting himself be more vulnerable. Their relationship is still clearly early days compared to the other love interests and they don't have any pillow talk or whatever. But a HUGE theme in this card is the MC coming to terms with the fact that she not only wants Sylus physically, but wants him to let her in and let her be a part of his life. The love scene isn't just representative of desire --- it is representative of the MC's realization that she truly trusts him and wants all in. She insists on going where he's going because she wants to be at his side and have his back, and she KNOWS that in turn, he will protect her no matter what, as evidenced by her line toward the end, "As long as you're there, there's nothing to be afraid of." In my opinion, Sylus already knows exactly how he feels and has actually been pretty honest about his feelings, even if only on his own terms. Imo Searing Touch and Grassland Romance are pretty good examples of this. Grassland Romance ESPECIALLY, to be honest. I'm pretty confident that card takes place before Night of Secrecy, simply based on the fact that it's established in Night of Secrecy that they now have control over their evol linkage (meaning they must be pretty darn close at this point), when they definitely do not in Grassland Romance. And in Grassland Romance, they both very explicitly acknowledge their feelings for each other, with the MC initially being more timid but at the end suggesting that they should spend more time together just because they want to. Sylus braids her hair in that card, calls MC his beloved multiple times, and even tells her he wouldn't want to live in a world where she doesn't exist. Sylus has been patient because he learned his lesson after practically traumatizing the MC when they met in his first chapter. So he has let her set the pace on the speed at which their relationship develops. He is completely ravenous in the love scene but still handles her with care and asks for her consent multiple times because he wants her to feel safe with him and enjoy the heck out of it as much as he does. Like, I was genuinely stunned by how sweet and pure this card felt to me compared to the others lol. That's just my take of course, but I felt the need to put it out there.
i very much enjoyed this story and was simping hard for him but i was very excited for his 1st kiss scene in the game at full display after he debuted 5 months in and almost 6 months this month i hope he gets alot of memories for upcoming banners and events also excited for his 1st bday card in april love your reaction tama :)
