Hey Jess! I don’t know anyone who has bad weather. I wouldn’t worry about it and as you can see the roads are not to bad, but if you still feel a bit on edge from what you see, I would recommend the ‘easy rider’. Hope that is useful to you :)
Hey great video man! I also did the loop 4 months ago and am just now posting the videos on my channel. Editing them really makes me nostalgic now haha
Wow, I love your video, this is the best vlog I've ever watched about travel in North VietNam. I love your vibes because when I click on your video and watch 5s and I really like it. I'm from Viet Nam, thank you so much
Hey Camila! I would 100% recommend the Ha Giang Loop! Ha Long Bay is fun but it doesn't even compare to the Ha Giang Loop. I hope that was helpful 🤙@@Camila-tn9ec
Hey David, this was actually a worry for me as well! But the loop is soo big you only see people when you stop at the sights like the big flag pole and things like that. While on the roads maybe you will see people and other groups but you will or they will just drive past. Hope that helps :)
Hey! Yes sure. BUT I have a lot of experience with driving these motorbikes and there were lots of points where I thought to myself “I am glad I’m not driving” because it can be pretty scary. But the reason I recommend doing the easy rider is because you really get to sit back and just enjoy the journey. I met a lot of people who drove themselves but they were normally the people who fell off 😬 So if you do drive yourself I would recommend take a day or two before just driving all day. Because Vietnam traffic is not like anything you have seen. I hope that is useful!
Hey Marc! Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. I did this towards the end of October. The weather was perfect then. Hope that is useful to you :)
Hey! Yeah it truly was amazing! I was really unsure what to do but as I wanted to make this video. I thought it would be a lot easier to film when I wanted, if I was with an "easy rider". Also I got to enjoy the views without having to focus on the roads. I would recommend it to be honest. :)
I didn’t take anti malaria BUT one of my friends (who was on this loop with me) and I got dengue fever not long after so maybe get the dengue shot before. That is not something I want to relive and but you can take the risk
If you enjoyed this video please subscribe as I have so much more to come!🤙
You should come back and explore the caves in Quang Binh. It's as good as the Ha Giang loop!
Yes! This gives me another reason to come back one day!
Once the remaining roads are paved it will be epic to ride and enjoy
INCREDIBLE. I'm going to do the loop in June, slightly nervous about the weather and the roads. Thank you for sharing. Jess x

@@HarveyStanleyTravels appreciate that bro! safe travels!
hi, I have to choose between the loop or going to halong bay. I dont have time for both, would you recommend this one?
Hey Camila! I would 100% recommend the Ha Giang Loop! Ha Long Bay is fun but it doesn't even compare to the Ha Giang Loop. I hope that was helpful 🤙@@Camila-tn9ec
@@HarveyStanleyTravels great, thanks!
My bucket list is to do this on a pedal bike.
That would be amazing!!
What time of the year was this?
Hey! This was in October 2023
Im doing this in October , solo traveller aged 61
Good on ya! You are going to love it! I can't wait for you.
How touristy is this loop? Are you constantly seeing tourists?

could you drive this by yourself? without being an experienced driver ? or without any experience

Hey, nice video, at what time of the year did you travel?
Hey Marc! Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. I did this towards the end of October. The weather was perfect then. Hope that is useful to you :)
looks amazing ,,,but would NEVER be able to live with myself being ridden around by another person

@@HarveyStanleyTravels fair enough …it’s 100% on my bucket list either way !!
How much did it cost for the guide ?
Did you have to take anti malaria medicine while on Ha Giang loop?
I didn’t take anti malaria BUT one of my friends (who was on this loop with me) and I got dengue fever not long after so maybe get the dengue shot before. That is not something I want to relive and but you can take the risk
Yikes! Thanks for the heads up.
the whole north vietnam its feel like lord of the rings journey
Yeah! That is a good comparison! I kept thinking of UP for some reason 😅 Maybe this is my equivalent to Mr Fredricksen's Paradise Falls
1979 Vị Xuyên Hà Giang là nơi đối đầu ác liệt với quân xâm lược Trung Quốc
We need to plan a boys trip here
That is what I’ve been saying! It needs to happen 😅
Do you think our galaxy is interesting
I'm 16 when I'm older and have more money I will do it
I would really recommend that!
