Girl isn't talking to herself, but rather breaking the 4th wall talking directly to the player. Because the player IS the parasite controlling her actions. There is something like "you've learned to coexist with the parasite" written in the games premise and also it's in your intro as well that "parasite will take a toll on your psychie".

wow, someone that actually played the game, instead of running around and getting mauled non stop. What a great look into the depth and mechanics of the survival gameplay. The game now seems interesting to me.

EDIT: tiny little tip when splitting wood logs, and split logs, use CTRL to crouch, aim at the piece you want to split and your character should slam down more accurately with her axe/pickaxe.
this game is getting so much attention lately, and for good reason no less. but, how is this (still) single developer going to cope with the added pressure from us backers/wishlisters and everything else thats landing on his plate..
i do hope he can steer this game into calm waters so we can eventually enjoy the completed game once it is actually done because, i do love it so so much!
it is giving me the forest and SCUM vibes and a smidge of Firewatch vibes. 3 great, similar but different, games.

1:02:36 I'm pretty you've tripped on the stairs, since sprinting down stairs is no safe thing to do.
As rough as this game is at this point, it got some details that really pull you in. Might be a little off-putting at first, since no other game makes you trip if you sprint down stairs, but man I love this stuff.
Also that sweater really isn't hiding anything, that wasn't hidden before. xD

You can disassemble your old boots for more cloth if you need
You know, there's no rule that says you can't have more than one base scattered around the map... for the purpose of convenience.
Also... a joke at your expense: Tries running down the stairs. Trips over his own feet. Tumbles down the rest of the way, faceplanting immediately! Spends the rest of the video blaming a snake that doesn't exist for his clumsiness! 😂😂😂😊😁
To be honest, had zero idea tripping was even a thing in this game... but I have been bitten by a snake!
For now, the "best" place to make a camp is at the rangers watch tower, its off the ground, easily defendable & has partial METAL walls, but the thing about your water collector is, you need WATER to go in it & at the tower it RAINS there... I've yet to see actual RAIN at the starter area... but then again, it is an ALPHA, so they could change it... ALSO at the tower there is a cooking POT at the top, you put it on your fire to boil dirty water to fresh... so you MIGHT want to go get that, incase it doesn't rain

also it appears that the X on the map is where you originally spawned, and if bottom of map is south that would be the beach 🙂
you are correct, south is beach and lower landscape to get on the beach, in my play ive been to the beach, there is multiple ship containers with some loot and shipwrecks alongside the beachline but my gut told me not to go swimming when it was snowing. so.. maybe another day i will find out whether these shipwrecks are legit or just for looks.

You really want to gead to the light house. It is secure and has an upstairs zombies cant get to.
Ypu can fill water from alcohol bottles once you drink them. Also fyi you can find a female toy in this game. You can put a bond fire in front of the cave. I always put my bind fire right in front so I can warm up and then run in in case something tries to attack me.

What happened on the tower stairs is that you tripped from running down the stairs. You can break down all clothing with a knife to get cloth. You can draw water from a pond, water collector, or river with a bottle. Things stored in a backpack can't be immediately accessed and you will need to stop and hold tab to bring it out and access it. You can put storage within storage with things like jackets, sweaters, pants, leggings, shirts, shorts, and dresses being some of the best for slots.

you stumble while running downstair.. and you can save your lockpicks for cars glovebox and lock cases.. you can open suitcase with axe or pickaxe..

@@apackman1822 what version do you play? the patron way?.. at least i have seen it in 2 yt videos where they couldnt with a stoneknife, and when they used steel knife they could.. so if you play through patron, maybe its an update away from what ive seen.. we good?

When building, you have to line up the small white dot in the center of the screen with the ghost and then press 'F' to build it. It seems you're mostly just missing the ghosts when building.

Did see a pot in the tower on the top floor,in the corner if i remember correctly
2 sewing kits + 10 rags backpack! Drink an alcohol and fill bottle with water. Strike that, you found a sewing, but you could have made a second 1.
That fire tower is good for base, enemies still coming but at least only from one direction, oh also you can make skull baton, that weapon is good too against zombies

You can go down to the beach there not much there but metal scrap as of what i found in the demo and stuff lols. and with the beeping sound you should try and use the explosive on the part of the wall you said if you wonder you can use the pic axe on? Maby there is physical properties where you can blow shot up. Also woth the bubbles 🫧 won't hurt you lols but you need to jump into them and see what happens 😂 it's nothing bad 😉

@@SergeantKelvin no you can't fill from the water catcher but you can fill it with the lake water then boil it up in the pot and then put it back clean water in the botle so you can carry around
