I know the easy answer is to "just sleep". You all have definitely commenting wanting a quick video on this topic. Today, I discuss my own mental and how I tackle when I am too tired, especially balancing work, life, and gaming.
Anyone that says “just sleep” as their advice for this topic automatically loses all credibility here. Everyone knows that no true gamer sleeps. Any “gamer” that does partake in sleeping simply isn’t serious enough and are nowhere near the same gamer mentality as us true gamer goblins! They’re likely the same types to interact with women too. They’re only gonna get in the way of your grind if you conitue to associate with them
7k hours 🙋♂️ it's fun for a while, because it is a really great game, but it hasn't evolved. And the SBMM only punishes you the more you play and the more you improve. I've gone on to other games like r6 and xdefiant and they are much better in over player experience. I have 1/10th games played season 21 in comparison to this time last season. I have all the badges I have nothing more I could do or grind other than pred. And with all the 6 manning and cheating I'd rather play xdefiant ranked when it comes or even r6 ranked maybe idk
@@ImStunninqgaming its hard to keep up with the sbmm in apex (skill issue on my part), maybe im just poo poo. Ive heard alot of great things about xdefiant. Is it worth getting into? Im just tryna find more game's to play. But when budakai 4 drops, ooo boy i cant wait
Same. I still enjoy the game, but it's at the point that i only enjoy playing the game with my friends. We all don't play apex until the weekend when we are all free to play it. Even then, we only play like 4 hours max per day. The game just isn't worth the grind even in rank. If they actually added more rewards for playing rank, we might play it more. Once you reach diamond, it gets to the point if it's worth grinding the game against cheaters and teamers. I think they only brought solos back because they noticed players aren't playing the game solo as much as before, so this encourages players to play solo. It was fun at first, but now solos is feels like diamond, master lobbies lol. I might play it more if they released a ranked solos.

Tiredness is a major factor for me. I’m 46, work from home and have 3 kids. On the days when work is quiet, I sometimes manage to hop on for an hour or two (does that make me a pro Apex player cos technically I’m getting paid to play 😝), and those day sessions in the main go very well. I come away feeling I’ve improved and that I CAN get Diamond solo queuing. Fast forward to later that night, kids are in bed and I can freely play with no real distractions…..and I’m just mentally not there. Couple that with it being peak hours, so more better players on, and I feel like I’m Gold standard at best. This has been the case for me on Apex since Day 1 - very hard to maintain any level of confidence in myself when day/night sessions are such polar opposites. I’ve started trying to schedule in more day sessions by getting up earlier to complete work and gym…..and cutting my night sessions if I’m not anywhere near my “day” standard of play. It’s frustrating but it is what it is and I’ve come to not let it bother me anymore. Previously I’ve quit the game for extended periods as the frustration got the better of me. Currently having an ok season and my personal improvement is noticeable (especially after 4 months away). Loving the game again and especially the grind to improve - I just need to be mindful that this is my downtime and it should be enjoyed, but that is sometimes difficult when enjoyment is so often tied to performance. I’m definitely in a better place mentally for Apex now than I used to be.
I just wanna like get into the game and chill sometimes, like i wanna go against other normal casual players, not a sweaty wall bouncing 4k 20 bomb wraith
While this is great advice for apex, It's also good for really anything we put a lot of time and effort. I was forced to stop playing because my computer was basically dying and couldn't handle almost any game. Along with that, I also felt very upset with the game because I only made it to diamond on season 17, and because that was my highest rank ever, which was the season where everybody got masters, my pride was gone. And I was hit with so much doubt in my skills that I felt like there was nothing I'm good at, not only in apex, but in life. So through season 18 and 20 I barely played the game, and every time I played I just sucked at it. But eventually I realized that I deeply miss playing the game, but my computer can't handle it. So I decided to try the game on console. And even though I was so much worse on controller than mnk, I remembered why I put over a thousand hours in. Because even through the hate, I still love this game. And I would gladly put another thousand in. But I still sucked. So very recently, my computer finally started working again and I took the advice which was to give yourself more credit, and walk into the game with the intent to win, rather than try your best. And the day I started to follow this advice, which was the same day my computer started working, the change was instant. In that one game session, I played Better than I ever have in any game. I gained almost a hundred kills, and got six wins. The first three were in a row, and four of them were in ranked. I kinda forgot why I was writing this comment, but the main thing I want to say is, if you're not enjoying something because you feel like you're not good at it, take break, throw away your ego, And come back when you actually want to, and give yourself the credit you deserve.
the realest apex player also I think you should be able to leave without penalties in mixtape to prevent the game forcing you to keep your attention. Definitely has been times where I'm too tired to play but cannot leave.
losing games used to put me in a bad mood when i played longer than i should have. nowadays the moment i start feeling like i'm done i stop playing and do something else.
This mindset of treating yourself better to play better is a constant within every competitive community even outside of video games. This kind of video is so long overdue for this community.
I took three months off from the game and coming was very rough. Then I hit two high action games in br and mix tape. But then something hit me and now I to am fighting to get that spark again. It gets frustrating but I think takeing a break from this "game" is needed. Cus right now its in an interesting spot.
I have a 2 year old I work all day at home and cook and take care of my baby all day alone. It’s so hard to take the little me time I have to play apex and I always getting so far behind my friends I can’t even play ranked with them even when I could keep up.
Tired? As a 30 yr old dinosaur Im tired of carrying noobs and bad players. After season 17 they cranked mm through the roof. Pre season 17 Apex was much less frustrating and much more fun.
I feel you. Avoided Season 21 for the longest because of cheaters, got to Diamond these past few days and i either get very questionable fills that somehow managed to hit Diamond playing day in day out all season or straight up Plat 4's/Golds 90% of the time, most struggle to win a 1v1 or even surpass 500 damage mark. The other 10% i get decent players or hard aimbotters who shamelessly run down the lobby hipfiring everyone across the map. Meanwhile lobbies are filled with cheaters or triple Pred controllers, yet your fills are level 150 golds for w/e reason.
REALLY tired of dying to cheaters, rollers and players that are obviously far beyond your skill level based on their banners (pred from previous seasons, has 30k+ kills, has 4k20). only enjoy 1 out of 10 games where there's miraculously no cheaters and you and your randoms are actually in sync even without comms, doesn't matter if it's a dub or not.
So after 20 years of Fps, several life saving surgeries, I can say that Daz is a wise man with some wise words. Try going 10 years on 4-5 hours of sleep a day. It ruins your body and your mind. If your lucky enough to be alive and sane after that, we'll done. However gaming can be like crack cocain and can ruin you. Feel in pain and feel like crap everyday. You only slightly get better at the game, while navigating a job and life like a zomvie, just barely scraping through. Along comes your kid and in only 7 months is way better than you will ever be and shows why he is a Pred and you will be Masters hard stuck forever
I'm not a content creator so Apex is, for me, just a competitive funny hardy game. I'm an artist and sometimes make art wont work if I'm sad or tired. In that moments I move to other things but my mind still focus on see art around n when I came back I feel improved somehow. SO I think u could be far to Apex or whatever physically n still on point mentally ;) sorry for my potato english but I'm Italian hahaha
@@Dazs For starter, Respawn actually addressing the cheaters. Its truly cancerous. Its not "boosters" anymore, people cheat just because they can and do it to ruin the experience for everyone else. I Solo Queued ranked and had 2 hard aimbot fills who eventually died to a "better?" cheater. I just ran around armorless and weaponless because they didn't let my banner expire so i can leave. And that is pretty much every game, every game mode. I hadn't played in weeks and thats just from last 2-3 days experience.
Anti cheat and SBMM need to be seriously addressed, and core gameplay needs more elements or factors to it. I quit the first day of S21 haven't played ranked since S18. Also ILY Daz! Ur the best apex creator imo ❤
I hate how bad sleep completely makes me lose all my skills for weeks on end before they go back to normal. I got slightly less sleep last night & i got on apex...lost my aim skills, today they are still not back & going by past experience I've lost my skills for months before they came back. Hate beint human such stupid little crap ruins everything
i got burned out from not improving as much as i want to because of how hard i am with myself lol. I forced myself to play to hit 10k with wraith a week ago and also got my first 20 bomb (actually a 30 bomb) with her, but it wasn't fun at all. I want to play to improve now that i don't have the pressure of these goals but still got performance anxiety. I should be playing as we speak but i've had steam open for 20 minutes debating if i should play.
I felt burned out also n i hate it only cause i do love apex. I took 1 year off n came back this year cause i felt like i was not enjoying da game anymore.
Aside from my other comment about the cheating situation in Apex atm, i feel like many of us have just outgrown the game at this point. And not just Apex but the genre in general or gaming altogether. You boot up a game once in a while, die to cheaters. KovaaKs is somewhat fun for some minutes a day but other than that, there is life, work and so on, at the end of the day, most just don't have the strenght to boot up a game and sweat extra against little sweatballs in summer break.
Glad to be able to see positivity in the comments when most of the time is negative. Feel like the game is easier to enjoy if you are a decent player and not playing for 6hrs a day. I’m mostly a hard stuck plat solo player and still enjoy the game. lol
I started this game on season 6 left, came back on season 12,13,14,15 left again and came back at 20 and man it felt different. The player base has gotten so good at the game. I was getting beamed left and right. Everyone gets so sweaty. I got burned out getting downed all the time. Now I just uninstalled the game and i don't think i will be coming back anytime soon...😅 I mean I wanna enjoy the game not sweat at every match like their is money on the table...😢 Now I am playing Wuthering Waves going down the gacha addict route...😂😂😂
Well after trying to get to plat rank this season I came to conslusion I value my sanity over this game .. I will log in to do events for rewards but other that that I rather save my nerves and better play pve games :)
I quit smoking cigarettes 🚬. I should quit apex, too. Apex is just as toxic. We put our hearts and souls into the game, just to get stomped on by someone modding their controller. Physical fatigue is one thing. Getting 💩 on by controller modders 24/7, then being gas-lit about it, is another type of fatigue. The future is now, and it's ugly.
Just take a break lol, y’all make it too complicated. Vast majority of people that play the game, aren’t working for money/views. Gaming is meant for fun and shouldn’t stop you from seeing the main goals in your life, don’t stress over it.
Let’s be honest xim Cronus and actually cheats no one really plays legitimately anymore fps games are done in 2024 fps game are close to being who has the best cheats and scripts

@@Dazs better anti cheat, proper matchmaking, better servers, less cash grab events
I should be playing as we speak but i've had steam open for 20 minutes debating if i should play.
great video dazs!!
appreciate you man
dood I'm totally just here for the background snes music
Honesty apex is my get away and helps me mentally bc the game is so beautiful ❤.
Glad to be able to see positivity in the comments when most of the time is negative. Feel like the game is easier to enjoy if you are a decent player and not playing for 6hrs a day. I’m mostly a hard stuck plat solo player and still enjoy the game. lol
@@brianr5165 I agree ☝️
Give it time bro's 😄
@@Thin_Limbz 20 seasons is kind of a long time.
@@brianr5165 lies
I started this game on season 6 left, came back on season 12,13,14,15 left again and came back at 20 and man it felt different. The player base has gotten so good at the game. I was getting beamed left and right. Everyone gets so sweaty. I got burned out getting downed all the time. Now I just uninstalled the game and i don't think i will be coming back anytime soon...😅
I mean I wanna enjoy the game not sweat at every match like their is money on the table...😢
Now I am playing Wuthering Waves going down the gacha addict route...😂😂😂
Well said sir.
Well after trying to get to plat rank this season I came to conslusion I value my sanity over this game .. I will log in to do events for rewards but other that that I rather save my nerves and better play pve games :)
Same but I’m tired of Overwatch 2 💀
I quit smoking cigarettes 🚬.
I should quit apex, too.
Apex is just as toxic.
We put our hearts and souls into the game, just to get stomped on by someone modding their controller.
Physical fatigue is one thing. Getting 💩 on by controller modders 24/7, then being gas-lit about it, is another type of fatigue.
The future is now, and it's ugly.
Same…
We keep on grinding though! :)
I have found play other games also helps me want to go back and play apex
Too tired to see cheaters :c
I Really Enjoy this Game, But these Hackers are just Draining all the enjoyment from matches
BRO COME OVER PLAY THE FINALS, ITS DYING HELP LMAO
Just take a break lol, y’all make it too complicated. Vast majority of people that play the game, aren’t working for money/views. Gaming is meant for fun and shouldn’t stop you from seeing the main goals in your life, don’t stress over it.
Let’s be honest xim Cronus and actually cheats no one really plays legitimately anymore fps games are done in 2024 fps game are close to being who has the best cheats and scripts
This comment is too tired to comment.
I'm at the point I afk games I don't care much screw what people think
You are a EA shill

Never though I would find this type of content on a apex legends video, you’re amazing! Thanks for the tips, great video! 🫡
