alexwolfycat oh my God, I KNOW! I can relate to so much of their music on a personal level, so there's always a song that hits me in the feels whether I'm happy, sad or indifferent. Fucking love Muse, man.
+SteventheThorn - He is amazing. Saw Muse live in 2010. Matt was amazing - so much energy, I was tired just watching him give it all on stage. They were so big in Europe and Asia before they became big here in the US. What a shame Maverick records asked Matt to remove his falsettos from the album prior to the US release. Good thing they didn't but it delayed their success here. Their uniqueness makes them special.
Kai Burns yeh out of the 3 I'd say Dave Grohl is probably the least talented composer. But he is still great at what he does and foo fighters proved that. Though Matt Bellamy and Jonny greenwood take experimenting rock music to another level and the muse and Radiohead's genre range are much wider than foo fighters. All great bands tho imo.
Yes, this was true. But now, the soul of their music had gone. With the new album and their setting up home in USA... Something went obviously terribly wrong. I felt just the same like you. My girlfriend knows ' em since they all were young. And she was the one, who always believed in "the boyz". But now she' s been very sad. And listened to other sound, cause she said: In the meantime, I just can't...listen to old, the real Muse. I dislike crying all the time. Theyre going to split up. And Dom looks sick. Matt seems like a stranger without his Rebel tooth an "Poker-face". This is not the boy with the wild heart. He sells out. The spooky thing: She never made such an announcement, which did not turn out, just the way she told it. Hopes herself, beeing wrong. I hope So as well....So long seeking souls. LG. F.
+Soggy Papaya - I don't think they try to sound like Radiohead on purpose. Muse is great that it goes in so many different directions. He even composes classical music.
+officeaddict33 I mean, so does Jonny Greenwood. That being said, the similarities are not all that strong. They're both experimental alt-rock bands from the late 90s-today. That's the biggest reason for the comparison.
I only discovered Muse a few months ago but I already consider them as one of the greatest bands I ve ever listened to ( Please forgive me for my english)!
Absolution!! Aaaahhhhhh! That is the one I keep going back to. I will listen to the other albums for a week or 2, and I do love them all, but then it is right back to Absolution. :)
It's amazing how versatile they are and how cohesive they sound with every type of sound they try. No one sounds like them. They are unique. They just keep blowing me away.
I'm almost 18 now and I've been fan since I was just a really little girl because of my dad listening to it. Now I've seen them in 2011, my first ever concert in Nijmegen Goffertpark, Holland and in 2015 at Rock Werchter, Belgium. After that I went on March 9th AND 10th to their Drones World Tour in Ziggodome, Amsterdam. I can't stop talking about how much they helped me and how much I adore them, genuinely dreamt that Matt was in front of me and said Hi, after that I believed for 3 weeks I actually got to meet him
Something I love about muse im that they have hard rock, metal music but thier music is so briliant(I mean symphonies) match so well and this is why I love them so much.
One of the few Band that really crossed and adopted some elements of different rock and metal sub genres, successfully, and without leaning too heavy on one sub genre. So much so that other bands were inspired by their songs (example: ERRA made a cover of Stockholm Syndrome and Dream Theater were inspired by the same song).
You're probably right. But they do have a lot of similarities regarding crowd participation, musical influences and musicianship. Not to mention incredible replay value.
I don't know why everyone is hating on there last two, and probably most popular, albums. If you're a "true" Muse fan, then you're going to support everything they come out with. And don't worry. Matt himself said that they were going to focus more on their traditional style of music so don't all of you start quitting on them now.
That's not entirely correct. A fan listens to the music and loves it. When there is something that bothers him, he can criticise the band, bring up arguments. A hater wouldn't be able to do that. A hater would say "it's shit" without explaining. And someone who forces himself to love eberything the band releases... well that's a fanboy.
+Bass Lightyeah They didn't say they had to force themselves to love everything. I love all their songs and all their albums. Sure, I think their older stuff is better, but I don't love the newer stuff any less. And I couldn't possibly criticize anything they've done. They are my favorite band because I absolutely love everything they put out there, and that's not gonna change until they stop playing music.
If/whenever Muse release another album I'd love to see them. I'm a big fan and Matt Bellamy is a freaking badass guitarist, he's one of my favourite guitarists and influences for guitar

I've been hooked since. I don't mean to sound like a broken record of "this band changed my life!!!" but.... they honestly did. This band has my heart forever.
It's falsetto if you can't belt out the note and can only whisper it, literally means "false singing". Make no mistake, Matt Bellamy can definitely project those high notes

Andrew Deats only hall I'll be inducted in is the alcohol of fame on the wall of SHAME!!!
They won’t be eligible 25 years after their debut album dropped, so not until like 2024 the earliest
I hope so, the fact that Radiohead is getting inducted gives me hope.
Muse deserves to be in the rock n' roll hall of fame, this is my favorite rock band

The comparison to Radiohead is fucking ridiculous. And I like both.
Showbiz is the only album with similarities. The rest? maybe a bit kid a inspired, but really, a lot of original stuff and creativity.
+Soggy Papaya - I don't think they try to sound like Radiohead on purpose. Muse is great that it goes in so many different directions. He even composes classical music.

Me too. Must have been living under a rock. Happily catching up on 20 years of excellent music. Bellamy is amazing.
Absolution will always be my favorite Muse record, Stockholm Syndrome is their best ever song!

Matt made me his fan long before I start playing guitar seriously. Muse is without question one of the very top recent bands there is right now.
Every time I hear about muse, it just makes me super happy. They're one of the best rock bands still holding the torch nowadays
best alternative rock band ever indeed... with best live vocals as well, i love muse so much

Muse truly has to be the best and most consistent Band that has ever existed.
Muse is Underrated
Origin of Symmetry was the very first record I purchased with my own money. It still is, to this day, one of the few good investments I've ever made.
SymphonicMotion it was the album that introduced me to muse and so it'll always be awesome in my mind.
I'm seeing them like in a month!! I think i'll cry 😄💔
Anyone else ready for drones?!???
So excited
Yes!
Remeggan Been stalking Muse's social media since October. CANNOT WAIT.

Im also 2001, and I LOVE Muse, Matt must be the best artist in the 2000s by far
I was born in 1999 (the year of Showbiz release! Hell yeah!) but didn't become a fan until 2014..? weird, isn't it?

Unesp Ebb I know you commented 2 years ago but it’s still true today. Muse has a genre all to themselves, simply Muse and that’s it.
I have heard people call it art rock and that sounds pretty accurate. They are the most unique band (and best band) I have heard
Just saw them in concert and uh- well I was blown away
one of my favorite bands ever
Best band of all times. End of conversation.
i’d love to see an update on this since they’ve released two more albums since this video was posted!!
muse is a lifestyle.

DRONES i think is the 3rd best album, my opinion:
Absolution
Black Holes & Revelations
Drones
Origins of Symmetry
The 2nd Law
The Resistance
Showbiz
Let's be honest though, all their songs our world class, Muse are my life!
+NOCAYTI Why is Showbiz that low?
+SuperAdy2000 because showbiz has like two memorable songs on it?
+Shinku Quickman not at all
Reckless39 I'm not a fan of Showbiz at all. Half if it is complete filler. Sunburn, Muscle Museum, Sober and Uno are the only interesting songs.
Origin is definitely first imo :)
Honestly the knights of cydonia music video made me laugh my ass off
But the song is one of my fav muse songs
The way you say teighnmouth is hilarious
+Eliza E Maybe they never had to say it until now? D:
