- www.DeborahWirsu.com has relocated to www.threadsketchinginaction.com. Free motion stitched grasses on a collaged fabric background feature again in Week 17 of Thread sketching in Action, which offers 52 weeks of thread sketching, thread painting and free motion designs, as they are created on a domestic sewing machine. These demonstrations form an ongoing collection of ideas for stand-alone thread-sketched pictures and ideas for quilting larger works. +6862211 Thanks - these two grass studies are a couple of my favourites!
Interested to know what sewing machine you are using as it looks like a Brother. This artistry you used a different presser foot to the ‘O’ foot. Is there a preference?
Thread Sketching in Action is back with Week 17 - this time I've worked a variation on the free stitched grasses, in order to demonstrate how a similar approach can look very different when you change the colours, design or stitching. The background is again layered - this time much more sparsely, and in monotone, so the effect is very different. ua-cam.com/video/6VdvYdK2Lis/v-deo.html
