After going 12-5, 3x. He’s technically a better coach than Vrabel, the hottest commodity, by longevity and metrics. Plus he is an offensive coach who calls the plays so you don’t have to worry about reshuffling play callers, and playbooks. he has also handled two of the top five football media markets and fan bases in the entire sport. You seem like you’re only surface level.
Mike McCarthy is a winning coach...he has more wins than loses in the regular season and he usually improves his QB throwing yardage. I can see a lot of teams after him.
mccarthy has had aaron rodger’s and dak prescott as his qb for the majority of his career. name one franchise qb that was on a jon gruden roster ill wait. he won the SB with Brad Johnson 😂😂😂 everybody knows john gruden a better coach and more sought after than mid grade mike
I probably underestimate the ability to handle tough internal political situations and there is no one better than McCarthy. Jaguars and Bears both kept their GMs, that's already something what Vrable won't be happy about (and sounds like Vrable goes to Patriots and for a long time), out of whoever is left: Carrol will want close to GM power, Flores will want a decent say there as well (and might not be a character fit), Ben Johnson - first time coach already says a lot. Out of other available options, Kliff Kingsbury is a good option if he can get a good DC and Mike McCarthy, who can handle disfunction and experienced enough (will need good OC and DC though).
My biggest issue with McCarthy is that I don't know what he is really good at. Not offense guy and definitely not defense guy. If you want this type of coach, why not to get Pete Caroll then? Having said that, I think Mike should stay with Jerry, they are like a couple that always complain at each other, but they fit perfectly and probably are the best to handle each other.
I don't think the Bears organization is interested in hiring winning coaches. They're ok being a middle of the road team. I mean them drafting for Caleb Williams was them finding a nut like a blind squirrel.
Mike McCarthy is a really good offensive coach and he could be really helpful to Chicago Bears there's no doubt about it that team could end up winning 10 to 12 games next year if they get any sort of decent coaching
You are absolutely correct. Jerry has only hired one ambitious coach since he has owned the team. Jimmie Johnson everyone else has been retired with no ambition or a backup quarterback. The press are cowards for not pointing this out
@@ZoranvonderHeide Saleh is a good name, for sure. I'd be all in on Flores but that Fitzpatrick and Tua are both really frank about Flores being entirely too negative as a coach. Maybe that's changed since he's been with the Vikings? If so, yes! It's such a weird process, picking a head coach...I just hope we get it right finally!
McCarthy is the guy, if you have a qb, to average at least 8 or 9 wins the next 5 years, and have an offense. You may like a few seasons of the other former coaches, but I would not give them a likely high floor because all got fired for stringing bad seasons.
I’m not really understanding teams’ infatuation with Mike McCarthy. The current model is to get a great young quarterback, still in his rookie contract, with a terrific upside who needs an offensive-minded mentor. Think Jayden Daniels in Washington. Then think Daniels again. But teams also want a young-ish head coach who’s in great shape. Think Campbell in Detroit. And they want a guy who’s smart. Think McDaniels in Miami or Shanahan in Santa Clara. Ahem. Well, does McCarthy fit any of those traits? I sure don’t see it. McCarthy looks like a guy working at a loading dock, looking at the clock, just waiting for the year to end so he can retire. Then go fishing. And drinking another six pack.
Who taught Devin McCourty how to talk?? If he was forced to speak without using the word “of” he would be totally lost. He somehow uses “of” in every sentence, and always in the wrong context, in lue of not knowing the right word to use to transition statements 🤦🏼♂️
Yeah, I hope the Bears get Mike McCarthy he wasted a decade of Aaron Rodgers life in Green I figure he can do the same for Caleb Williams as a Packer fan
The Bears and Jets have been interviewing the worst candidates: Rex Ryan, Mike McCarthy, Mike Kafka, Arthur Smith, etc. Just goes to show you how dumb some owners are 😂
or, it's just good candidates don't even want to interview with them. I think it's not fair to compare Jets and Bears though. Eberflus had more than enough time to build something and definitely would stay till the end of the season at least if not his timeout crap stuff
@ nope, that’s not the issue! There are only 32 NFL teams, everybody wants every single job. Only the top 2/3 candidates can be picky enough to not even interview
@TheKenSanity I saw highlights of Caleb at USC and noticed all the happenings behind the line of scrimmage after the snap and he looked like he saw dead people like in the movie Sixth Sense. Like he was under duress before the pressure got to him. Once in the NFL multiply that factor by 10. I'm not a fan.
I wouldn't hire Mike McCarty to coach intramural flag football. This is the absolute worst possible thing the Bears could do. Nobody on Earth wants this clown coaching their team. NOBODY.
Mike F. is the most refreshingly direct commentator on NFL happenings, love this guy.
Yep he's awesome. People hate that he's a Vikings fan but he's great.
He's an embarrassment
Tides turning
Is this bizzaro world? Cowboys are 7-10, and Mike McCarthy is a hot commodity?
Nope...Just the Chicago Bears world
He lost his QB and Jerry jones is really the Owner/GM/HC he just doesn’t get blamed for it

Jerry Jones is an idiot. He proves this every day. McCarthy should tell Jones to shove it.
🤣If you want good comedy, let's pray for a reunion between Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers in Chicago. This would be epic!
😅
McCarthy gets a bad rap because of what happens in the playoffs with Dallas. Look at the quarterback he has.
he also gets a bad rap because of his resume outside of that one aaron rodgers SB

Carr ? wasn't he the raiders franchise qb?
this is definitely a bizarro world, Mike McCarthy is a hot commodity???

Mike McCarthy getting a shot with another talent young QB would be hilarious

You spelled o-line wrong.
Jerry will keep McCarthy. Hes too tight to hire a worthy individual.
McCarthy is already a free agent too late to keep him
McCarthy’s staff are also in their final year, perfect time for Jerry to change the coach
Even still if Jerry lets him leave Jerry is gonna hire Matt Eberflus.
Jerry only hires yes men The only yes man he didn't hire was Jerry Johnson and that's the one who won him super bowls and that's the one he fired
You are absolutely correct. Jerry has only hired one ambitious coach since he has owned the team. Jimmie Johnson everyone else has been retired with no ambition or a backup quarterback. The press are cowards for not pointing this out
That is hilarious.
12 Wins 3 years in a row. The Bears have never done that.
How ‘bout Di-ka. He’s da Bears. Bring him back. And Refrigerator Perry and Jim McMahon too.
Not my first choice but don't hate it. He has done well with quarterbacks.
lol, we have his whole playbook and it’s silly the bears fans are even stoked for that.
For the Bears my choices are McCarthey, Carroll, Aaron Glenn and only Ben Johnson IF he can command a locker room, about which I have doubts.
Brian Flores? Robert Saleh?

They can have him. Please, take him.

Maybe as an OC
"Has science progressed to the point where maybe we can clone him and have him coach both teams?" -Green Bay fans
This would be my worst nightmare.
As if the NFC North couldn’t get tougher…

the bears would be morons to want McCarthy
Bears are morons with or without wanting McCarthy

No F'n way! I have been a bear fan for 60 yrs. No way, he is the enemy! 😮
The Bears hate themselves.

@@YuriiSaikonope Woody Johnson isn't who he says he is. Jets still won't have a winning season under him.
The Bears still don't have a quarterback. When will teams realize runningblack quarterbacks suck. Good luck getting a coach.
caleb isn't even a running qb tho?? weird comment
