Get the kicker cs 100 rms each
Sounds like you are at fault. I have some fairly cheap Sony xplode 6.5s in my front doors that are pushed by an amp that well put rates their rms power rating and a year later they are still pumping out great mid bass. Turn the bass down on your head unit and don’t crank the volume to the max.
Speakers only blow up from too little power.
Should have added an amp .
But Rockford speakers in general suck.

I have the 16 mazda3 with the goofy tablet radio. I took that junk out and put a kenwood single din in there with a Rockford dsr1, t400-4, t400-2, and r1200. A bit overkill but, you can put punch pro 8 inch speakers in the front doors xD
In the end, was that what the customer was looking for? Was he happy?
I would say yes because Paul said he loved it when he demonstrated the car.

Is the customer planning a head unit upgrade or adding an amp in the future to improve their sound quality? One thing for sure they shouldn't blow those excelons in a hurry.
@OGL iaDL absolutely but but if they are listening to distorted music they have other issues lol.
That stock unit will actually easily blow up those speakers due to lack of power

Guy from experience, the speakers get wet like crazy on rainy days. Thats one of the reason for em to spoil. Please have this addressed. The 3 holes below the factory speakers are for the water to escape. Try to retain it. Cheers
Dean, I needed this video. My wife has a 2014 Mazda 6 and I desperately want to upgrade her audio system but had no idea where to start. This video gives me a good starting point, but do you have any other videos that go a little more in depth with installation in this model car?

Hi,five star...don't know if I ask you this before. I have a '12 dodge charger that sometimes I will have sound from the front speakers..then some days I want. Wires to the speakers are hook up right and secure..any idea why this may be happening?

you cant change stereo in Mazda maybe you can source out different model from eBay or sam crashed Mazda because there are two models of a stereo one in this video and other is with the screen even better if you can get one from Mazda with bose stereo system because then you have all connections you need
thanks. I have been thinking about the head unit with Android os. But I am not sure about the quality. Also, I Have check replace with own but there are different harnesses. My head unit is just a radio.
@@ondrejvojir4390 the biggest problem is the shape of stereo because is not really standard din size you can get an android unit which is made for Mazda but they are quite expensive $400 and up for harnesses is no problem you can get Mazda adapter
too bad only the iLX-207 is the only deck that fits into that vehicle. great job guys!

Kenwood fuckin clippin. KFC.... I like the dimples to settle down unwanted vibrations & help eliminates distortion..... or whatever.... but they look neat!
I always always use factory pods.... but I relize people are cheep & odly pay to take out audio unless it's high end components or if they were dumb enough to buy high end coaxls I wouldn't be pulling out old coaxls.... that's my thoughts though! ... but people have leases ect & I understand shops "gotta give the factory speakers back " yada yada!

I have problem I was installing a prime sub amp but it stayed on protective mode cuz It was defective so wen I but everything back to my original set up it started having engine noise wen truck is on but never had dat b4 so I installed noise isolators it went away but away but why is dat help me out,thanks..
Have you guys added a after market amp in a 2016 Mazda 6 with the Infotainment (non-Bose) system? Im trying to add a 5ch amp and a Audio Control LC7I in my daughters car and cant seem to find any info on it? I've already contacted PAC Audio & Metra, neither of them make anything for it.
Just connect the LC7i to the speaker outputs, not that difficult
Hey, 5 Star! Great info and entertaining video. Subscribed. Just picked up the Metra front door mount that you recommended and have two 6 1/2" Alpine mid bass speakers left from my last car. I see the mounts have a hole in the side to feed the speaker connection wires through. Any suggestions on how to seal those holes after I run the wires through so the mid-bass back wave doesn't leak out into the door? Is 2 inch foam adhesive strip enough?
You could try silicone and the foam to seal those wire holes. I'll be doing this very soon on my 2016 Mazda 6. Good luck

Where can I get that speaker gasket tape online?
I got a question. I have a 2015 Equinox, I have a distortion/vibration in the rear drivers side speaker, I had warranty replace it “supposedly” they did but I’m still hearing the same. In the replacement one so that is why I’m not sure if they replaced it or not. Now is this speaker shot? It works, I can hear music but I also hear vibration/distortion coming from it.
For that we would take off the door panel and see what was up. We have found all kinds of things coughs in door panels that make noise. You can also swap out driver and passenger speakers to see if it moves.
I wish that Mazda 3 would had the Bose system, then I'd get a better idea for my Mazda.
Hey Dean how do you feel about the exile 2400.1 amp for subs. Are they any good?.
JLUMINADO exile amps are nice. They do rated power. Started by some of the engineers from old Phoenix gold.

Depends on which Rockford. That being said the Focal is a very nice amp for sure.
