    Forgot to comment yesterday. Have installed a few of the infrared heaters in shops & garages over the years. Everyone loves them. I could see where a portable unit would be great. The best way to describe the way these work, is that they heat objects (floor, cars, tools, etc.), not the air. The air gets heated by the objects losing that heat. The guys with auto shops love them, because you can open the overhead doors in winter & as soon as they're closed, its warm again under the heaters & the cars are melting off... Kool review. Thanx !

    Bought one of these for my camp shop after seeing this video. I bought it when fleet farm had them for $400 off for Black Friday.
    I was reluctant to believe they’d be that great, but now a month later the thing is awesome. My brother was just here for Christmas and couldn’t t believe how much heat it threw off inside an old 40x50 barn.

    I have 2 of the Val 6 heaters and they have worked great for 15 plus years. Bought this one 2 years ago and it has worked great too. It is a little bigger and will only fit through a 36” door 90 degrees to the wheels. Not very handy. Hope they fix that little issue. It is a very heavy duty heater. We have used them in enclosed spaces on our new home construction projects in order to build year round in Alaska. The best part is they heat surfaces and so if pointed at a concrete floor, floor heats up and continues to give heat back. Highly recommend this heater. Expensive but will last a long time and works better.

      @Sunfireheaters Рік тому +1

      @bobcatbuilder2107 Great feedback and you are right. You have the SF150 which was our first major model and our largest and heaviest. It was designed primarily for rolling to different areas in a larger shop but not best for most portability needs. We are working on making a change on the size of that one soon, however. The heater in this video is the SF120 and is much smaller and more portable. This will fit through any door at only 28.5" wide and we just launched an even smaller heater, the SF80 at only 19.75" wide. BTW - these are sold in Alaska at Alaska Industrial Hardware locations.

      @Sunfireheaters Рік тому

      Excellent question. Our heaters do not use gasoline but use either diesel or kerosene which are much less volatile than gasoline. These heaters are fully UL Certified under file MP5162. The UL certification is specifically for indoor use. These are not meant to warm inside a residential home, but they are perfect for inside a shop, pole barn, garage, warehouse etc. These have been fully UL tested and have met all safety standards for these types of indoor applications. Thanks for the excellent question because safety is extremely important to us.

    • @Sunfireheaters
      @Sunfireheaters Рік тому +1

      We appreciate the concern because for most, it does seem unlikely. This heater does burn fuel so there will be emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO2). However, regarding carbon monoxide (CO), the testing is accurate. This has been UL tested and certified where this had to meet certain standards including carbon monoxide. We can achieve this by circulating the fuel inside the funnel shaped cone very precisely, that allows us to fully burn every droplet pure and clean. When that occurs, near zero or zero CO is achievable. This is of course with a burner that is properly tuned and kept up in maintenance. If dirty fuel is used or a nozzle gets clogged, that will affect the burn and proper spray of the fuel that can affect emissions. The OSHA standard is 50 parter per million for indoor use so even a little CO would still fall within their guidelines for indoor use.
