I still remember seeing this for the first time 2 years ago, I thought it was just going to be a normal horor indie game. But now look at the franchise, it became so popular almost beating FNaF.

The scariest part about this for me is when huggy, or the blue monster, in hobbling towards us in the dark.
I don’t know what’s so chilling about it. The way it walks, the ambience? It’s just… unsettling. There is no other way to describe it.
*It's name is "Huggy". Poppy is the doll in the chair.*

The first chapter of this series was AMAZING. The graphics, ambience/ soundtrack and overall sequence was *chef's kiss* . The only thing somewhat lackluster were a few of the coloured tapes. Had a feeling it won't be over with Huggy after that chase.

Seeing this account go from weird minecraft animations to amazing indie horror game is so fucking funny.
I think the animations are pretty good. Especially the Freddy Fazbear and Friends series. And actually it's not just ZAMination it's also Enchanted Mob and I think 3A Display and probably more that came together to work on this amazing project.

What's absolutely amazing about this trailer is that, at the end, there's not a typical jumpscare. Rather, we, through the character's point of view, set our eyes and flashlight upon Poppy.
What we see is the reason this trailer is better than most horror game trailers: Poppy's eyes move.
It's subtle, like the slight movements of our eyes when we stare at something. But it's noticeable enough to tell you that this doll is alive and watching you. It's extremely creepy, and it does a better job scaring us than a jumpscare ever could.
That's how true horror is done.
Well done, game creators!

Experiment 1006: "The Prototype" he seems serviceable as the prime example for the type of vessel we are trying to create. Despite it's digestive tract being wired properly, the prototype finds no necessity for sustenance (unlike all the others) all other experiments can only survive while subsisting on much larger portions.

Back after Chapter 1's already been released, but still reallllly appreciate this trailer. I would honestly say that Huggy Wuggy is not the scariest part about this trailer; that definitely goes to Poppy's ever-so-slightly twitching eyes, letting the viewer know she's definitely alive - in such a subtle manner, too! My god this is well done. Batim walked so this game could run!
I see what you did in the last sentence. Poppy isn’t necessarily scary but holy sh she definitely proved to be the scariest one for herself at the end of the chapter 1.. I really hope chapter 2 comes out because I wanna know what happens to huggy wuggy.

Finished? Dark Deception hasn't "finished" yet. We still have a few more chapters to go through, and this game certainly isn't a "replacement" either. But for sure, Poppy Playtime is welcomed to the world of indie games!

Not according to the games description, from what I have read it's a device used by the workers. It still is quite cool if you go the the game page and expand the description it tells you about the grabpack.

well done on making huggy feel like a real toy that uses its proportions and weight to travel instead of just walking normally. especially the animation in the vent chase blew my mind, it's so fascinating to see huggy actually just hunched and using its feet AND hands to traverse the vents. great job all around everyone and very excited for chapter 2!

That reminds me of one summer day in the park, I was having a delightful picnic with my good friend Orville. And I said to him, I said “Orville, I-I have a story” And he said to me “What’s the significance of the story?” I said to him “Orville, not every story has to have significance, ya know? Sometimes uhh, sometimes a story is just a story. You try to read into every little thing and find meaning in everything anyone says, you’ll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once, wasn’t pretty, we talked about it for years. And not only that, you’ll likely end up believe something you shouldn’t believe or thinking something you shouldn’t think o-o-or assuming something you shouldn’t assume, ya know? Sometimes I said a story is just a story, so just be quiet for one second here life and eat your sandwich, okay? Of course, it was only then I realized i made sandwiches and poor Orville was having such difficulty eating it! Elephants have those clumsy hands, ya know? Actually, I suppose that’s the problem, they don’t have hands at all, they’re all feet. I couldn’t imagine someone asking me to eat a sandwich with my feet. Now, if I recall correctly there was a bakery nearby, I said to him “Orville, let me go get you some rye bread.” Now, I’m unsure elephants enjoy rye bread, but, I assure you that Orville does. Now this was on a Tuesday which was good because rye bread was always fresh on Tuesday. They made sourdough on Monday and threw it out Wednesday. or rather they sold it at a discount for people who wanting to feed the ducks and then probably at the end of the day they threw it all out. I do remember a man who would being his son to the bakery every Wednesday, and go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread, of course, you know, you’re not supposed to feed the ducks sourdough bread at all. It swells up in their stomach and they all die, at least that’s what I’ve heard. Ya know I never saw any ducks die myself but I did notice a substantial decrease in duck population over the course of a few years. I just never thought to stop the man and tell him he was killing the ducks by feeding them sourdough bread. And if you want my opinion on the matter if you wanna feed ducks or birds or any kind for that matter, especially buy seed. I mean, when you think about it, breads of any sort don’t occur in nature, they don’t grow on trees or spring up from bushes! I don’t think birds know what to do with bread. What was I saying? Oh oh yes yes. So I bought Orville some rye bread. What a fine day it was.”
Fun Fact: at 0:29 you may not see that Huggy Wuggy's hand is blue. That's probably because it could have been an older version of Huggy.

I saw the game before I saw this trailer (I adore this) I'm not really the biggest fan of toy horror games. There are few exceptions by the way they were done and this is most definitely one of those exceptions. Also the music for this trailer I really like.
