Yep. I saw them at least 30 years ago. Still nothing comparable in terms of drive, energy, and songwriting genius. If I ever feel I've written a song I like, I then listen to NMN, and know I'm only ever a shadow of their talent. And I like that. I like being humbled. Keeps me writing and loving music
Such an awesome band. There is so much energy and good vibes that surround them. I cannot imagine a better band. I could not make one up in my mind. ALL respect is due.
No Means No are one of the few bands from Canada ( BC in particular ) who have been successful without major label distribution or airplay on the big commercial stations. They haven't had to compromise what they do. They're the grand fuck you to the Canada music industry and the mediocre acts they've force down our throats in recent years. Acts that lack what No Means No has: originality, and a natural awareness of staying true to themselves. That's something to be applauded.
Wow. I've liked NoMeansNo for a long while, though I only know a limited amount of their tunes. But I've never seen an interview with any of them. What a cool low key guy who just loves making music. Much like myself. :D
Rob probably comes out and say," what you see is what you get, fire away". Cool!. That's why he's so great. P/S. hey rob, if flying is not so bad, try flying to Hawaii, we're still waiting.. fans
@novakillhatesyou dude... wtf are u talking about? there are a shitload of small independent labels out there/more than ever probably/people are breaking off on there own because of the internet/people are making home videos and getting millions of hits/are you implying nomeansno has had a big marketing team and big labels behind them?what?/they are using the internet to grow because it IS an efficient, SMART way to increase fans.ive seen these guys play in front of 20 people!they rely on the rd
The best band that 99.9% of the world has never heard of. Hearing Rob on those records always makes me wanna pick up my bass.

This man is awesome. A great musician, a great songwriter, a great speaker. And he's so humble. I love it.
I love these Guy's. I wished I could travel Europe playing progressive Post punk and look like a drunk Obi Wan Kanobi!
People like Nomeansno make the world a better place. Music ist a gift, and live they are awsome!
Rob's the coolest geezer I've ever met.
And shit I'll say it: Nomeansno is the best hardcore band of all times.
One of the greatest bands out there .
"YOUR'RE REALLY OLD, NO?" Gotta love Rob's composure and class. And conviction... he's right on about the industry. Great interview.
Great interview, wise words. The core of punk & humanity should always connect this way

You are not 'old', but current, more than ever. Your art ages very well.

Awesome band, an inspiration to live your life your way. Love when the interviewer calmly says "you're quite old." Rob: "absolutely."

Jesus Christ he's gotten old!
1st then 10 empty places then put whoever you want
I must admit that Canada has produced the best music in the world and the worst music in the world. Nomeansno is Wright. Bieber is wrong.
You're quite old
