Love this video! I am the only vegan in my house and making a batch of brown rice (or something else) and using it several ways is perfect for me. Please make more videos like this.
That's a great idea! I have been eating a lot of grains in romaine boats lately. Such a delicious trick. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Thank you! I love hearing about people making my recipes! Not to pick favorites, but that fried rice was definitely my favorite of the three. It totally tasted like what I get at my favorite Thai place, but SO much healthier. Thanks for watching, and thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thank you! I'm sure you could use zucchini, although it might not be as crisp or "refreshing". Maybe double up the carrot? Or use jicama for the freshness and the crunch?
The sushi tacos were fabulous! How easy was that to mix avocado in to hold it together! I used some picked ginger and wasabi. Thanks for a great tasting healthy recipe! Glad you are back, I missed you 😘
I'm so glad you liked them! I love the addition of the pickled ginger and wasabi. For some reason I always forget those items when I make "sushi" content. And thanks for sticking around! I'm going to do my best to be more consistent.
It's a Durapan by Curtis Stone that I bought on HSN about 3 years ago. They are scarce these days, and I'm not sure why. You can still find some sets on HSN, but I only bought the one. I've even turned family onto them. It's the best nonstick I've ever had.
I would love a million! Thanks for watching and taking the time to share some love. I can't wait to hear what your friends think! Let me know how it goes.
They all look amazing! For the furikake, which one are you using? The ones I've found have bonito flakes. I think your sushi mix is so clever. Can't wait to try this, yum!
Thank you. the brand/type I use is "JFC Nori Kom Fumi-Furikake" I bought this particular one at a Japanese market near my house, but I've seen them at other Asian markets, as well as a few Walgreens here in Las Vegas. There are a few different "flavors" they offer, but I know that at leas this one is free of bonito. Here is a link to the one I use: tinyurl.com/y6fzyxg9
Wow Monson you really went all out! My husband doesn’t like pineapple and I’m trying to think of something to replace it, any thoughts or suggestions? Also, he loves rice pudding so thanks! I love the tacos, great idea! Yes I was binge watching till super late, then woke up super early and started up again! Are your videos addicting!? lol!!!!!! Thank you!
I have had Breville Smart Ovens for the past 4ish years. I had a basic model for about 2 years, and now I have the Smart Oven Air, which has air fry and dehydrator settings. I LOVE IT! My first Smart Oven replaced my big oven about 90% of the time (not an exaggeration), and now that this new one has even more functions, I use it even more to cook and prepare foods. 10/10.
Missed you! Wow! These are awesome recipes! I never thought about using rice for breakfast like that. Gonna make it tomorrow!!! And oh my gosh the tacos looks magnificent!! You have such great ideas! Rice and avocado mixed....such a great idea! I can’t wait to make all of them! Thanks a bunch!!
Good to see you back here, Michael! :) And tasty looking recipes----except the lunch one, I'll have to do w/o the seaweed. Never managed to enjoy that-----
Good to be back! And thank you! Ben doesn't like the seaweed either, so when we make sushi at home, I use the soy wrappers for him. They can be a bit expensive at Whole Foods and such, but I've found them very reasonably priced at Asian markets. Here's the brand we use: tinyurl.com/yy8g5z98
@@MonsonMadeThis Thank you! Indian and Asian markets are first on my shopping runs when I get into the city. I grew up in mid-US, and now am thrilled to have the opportunity to branch out with my food! :)
@@ruthannamarteifio2956 I grew up in a small northern Nevada town with zero diversity. I didn't have Thai or Japanese food until I went away to college. I feel lucky to live in a city now with so many options. When I visit family in the Ozarks, I am reminded that there are still parts of the country that just don't have as many options. I stayed there for about two weeks this past summer, and actually ended up ordering a few of my "necessities" from Amazon. I sometimes forget how spoiled I am here in Vegas.
@@MonsonMadeThis It sure makes a difference----once we taste the good life----literally!!! Not that the plainer things aren't good. However, we can never really go back----(Thank goodness for Amazon!)
No not the sushi, the fried rice tofu rolled in a tort. Because of the inhumane treatment of animals my consumption of meat went from daily to once a week and plan on quitting all together soon. It's been a challenge. I gained about 40 lbs due to overeating or not feeling satisfied. it's all good now. I've found good & tasty meat alternatives. Y'all have a great day!
@@joelovando69 I actually have a video on this channel for an Orange Chicken and fried rice burrito. You should check it out if you haven't already. This fried rice would really be amazing as a wrap, too. I love that you are making the effort to cut back, and eventually gut out meat and dairy completely. It has to happen in your own time so that you don't feel like you're missing out. Veganism should be about a new type of abundance and discovery, and not about giving things up that you once loved. Make sure you're taking care of yourself as you take care of the animals. Going too extreme could cause you to give up or "relapse". Anything is better than nothing. As Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (a vegan icon) says “Don't do nothing because you can't do everything. Do something. Anything.”
Great ideas Michael!!!! Very inspiring too! Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes and tutorials! 👏🏼❤️Kathy

Thank you. Same for me. If I make it, I'm the only one eating it. Glad I could help!
Didn’t know you could make rice pudding with brown rice. Thank you.
It's not quite as luxurious as using a white or arborio rice, but it's delicious for sure.
looks delicious, please post recipes
The links to the recipe are posted below the video. Or go to monsonmadethis.com
Made the Sushi Tacos - great recipe - I used romaine lettuce instead of nori as I didn't have any. Very tasty.

I have to give a big thumbs up 👍 for the pineapple fried rice recipe! Made it today and it was amazing!

Yay! Let me know how those go.

Do you have a recommendation on a good tabletop oven?

Monson Made This thank you very much for the info.
I tried making brown rice pudding once but it wasn't creamy at all. Was this creamy?
I think it is. If you let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, it definitely gets creamy.

The sushi "taco"? Like a sushi "burrito"?

Why not the rice in the instant pot ?
Great idea. I've only cooked white or jasmine rice in mine, but I hear that it does brown rice pretty well as well.
you so cute :)
