What was inside this Gameboy Cartridge?? Can I fix it?? (Part 1)

In this video we have been given two Gameboy Colour games to clean up and get back to working order again.

Looks like that yellow cartridge was laying on a table where a dark drink was spilled. If it was tobacco smoke, it would have been more evenly coated inside.
Nice to see them brought back to life.
