I think the ones without helmets have no Psi protection because they are expected to be used with a helmet with Psi protection. the Psi protection goes on your head. I don't really think it's fair to downgrade them for that
Unfortunately the Bulat doesnt have any Psi protection. The equivalent helmet at least has 2.1 but the armor as a whole has non. Love the Bulat though. If it had some psi protecton I'd have kept it until end game.
I stick to the Diamond exo every time. Found it during a mission on my first playthrough and then found another later in Pripyat. 2nd playthrough in now, ran straight to yaniv to get it early. Issue is it’s a rip off to maintain in veteran, but basically turns you into a monolith sponge so imho 100% worth it, but don’t let this distract you from the fact that We thank you, oh Monolith, for revealing the cunning plans of your enemies to us. May your light shine down on the souls of the brave soldiers who gave their lives in service to your will. Onward warriors of the Monolith, avenge your fallen brothers, blessed as they are in their eternal union with the Monolith.
Side note - faction armors are named as such in Ukrainian, e.g. PSZ-9D stands for "Duty/Dolg" (same initial here), V - Volya(Freedom) W - Ward(Varta, English butchers cyrillic) I - Iskra (Spark) N - Nayemniki(Mercs) M - military, but since it's on SIRCAA... probably MDST or other ministry.
there is an operator exoskeleton in the burnt forest at the end of X-15. it's in a locked armory with a key nearby. I would imagine its obtainable early, its literally at the end of the bunker through the giant blast doors. if you go in through the blast doors instead of coming out from the mission the suit is on the left, and the key is on a desk to the right. its pre-jupiter if you get it through the mission either way, so like late mid-game.
Why you put Corund as B, cmmon it has two protected containers in total 5 artefact slots and doestn't require any upgrades on the map. Can be easily upgraded in Rostok very cheap!
when i found it at noontide base i ran it until i got the exo going to pripyat, full balistic protection with upgrades and 5 slots what more to want, you can go with it the entire game
Hawk in the B-tier? My dude, are you serious now? This suit carried me from the end of the early game up until Prypiat. 5 artefact containers (2 of them lead), the additional carry weight upgrade, and MAXIMAL physical protection when fully upgraded. It is easily an S-tier item. Only exoskeletons are better, but you get those only in the late game.
Worth noting that as soon as you leave the lesser zone you can go to the military storage base in the chemical plant area and get a 100% condition Bulat suit for free. The Bulat will easily take you to the point at which you get a SEVA-I or Diamond exo. There are also at least 2 diamond Exo suits in the game which you can get for free at 100% condition. Edited to add: diamond vs ruby exo - with both fully upgraded the diamond has better resistances but doesn't have the 20% accuracy. Ruby has the accuracy buff but noticably worse resistances and a smaller buff to carry weight.
SEVA 1 is barely better than SEVA Suit, and depending on how you loot (Agriculture Building in Rostok (NW of the Main Base) has the Seva1 on the roof of the Walkway inbetween the buildings. The keys to get through the doors leading up to the roof are found on the exo & drifter bodies scattered around the buildings.
@@nighthawkviper6791 what?.. I know there's Seva-I (that's " i ", for "Iskra" - "Spark") can be found in Yantar area, next to Rostok. But Seva-I in Rostok? There's Seva-V on the train crane near helicopter, but that's about it.
@archiethedog4515 I've fallen in love with lighter builds because I hate relying on Weird Water and dealing with the drunk effect. I've been using this exact combo for over a week. Mercenary Suit is a little weaker and has 1 less artifact slot but 1 kg lighter and it has the carry weight upgrade while also being cheaper. With a med physical artifact and a hyper cube, it was just enough to beat Faust on veteran so it's capable.
yeah and you can fully mod it kinda early if you follow main story, right after getting it from noontider went back to monolith. I mod it on tech and man that had almost max out physical protection... but nothing can pull me away from my SEVA. My dream is wearing SEVA left hand FNF2000 right hand Gauss rifle and revolver on waist RPG on back...
@@JJennerUK it's good but it's also pretty heavy and doesn't have the carry weight boost level of an exo. I had a near fully upgraded GoF suit and didn't really need the Corundum as a result
I feel like the Corundum suit should be above the Bulat suit in A tier. They both have 5 artifact slots with 2 shielded containers when upgraded but Corundum has higher stats across the board (almost max physical protection) and much more psi protection (Bulat doesn't have any when fully upgraded) Great list overall though!
I'm only in the early to mid game (I think) but I think it'd have been worthwhile factoring in the weight of the armor, maybe not right down to calculating protection per kilogram, but I feel it's important to consider when choosing armor based on what you expect to encounter before heading out. Thanks for sharing this all the same I.C.G, cheers.
The exo suits are great, especially the diamond, it's worth it but for some reason, I really enjoy the Falcon and Bulat alot...those two armor sets really hard carried me throughout my first playthrough.
SEVA D (Upgraded) is the SEVA D with the blueprint upgrades. Suit itself is easy to get in the Cement region, with the aramid blueprint being quite easy to find at Wild Island.
You can get Guardian of Freedom as free loot in two different early game accessible areas (Garbage and later Zaton), and upgraded it's one of the best armors for early-mid game, so I can put up with the repair costs.
I think weight should also have been a consideration for this. Lighter armor is much more efficient for carrying loot. And if you don't have good weight relics, the weight becomes much more important - especially before you start seeing Exosuits.
Really depends on the upgrades. Like Corundum is heavy at 10kg but it also gives +10k carry capacity when upgraded, making it effectively a 0 weight armor. So the actual weight tag doesnt tell the whole story.
I have just one comment to this: I like the fact that in this game the armor doesn't really matter if you play enough and collect some critical artifact namely: Compass + Liquid Rock + Hpyercube with that any armor which has 1 Lead and 2 normal container basically you max out Physical/Thermal/Chemical defense even with like 0% durability so after upgrading you don't really have to worry about repair... your 0% condition suit is as good as any other. The only difference if you want to do some powergaming (in a singleplayer game) is using the best carry weight exoskeleton with the least weight. :) Other than that I like this Tier list!
The artifacts got nerfed very hard in 1.1.1, they pretty much only have 1/4 of their original value. A compass for example gives only around 1 Bar of your armor stat. So no more Honda Civic armor.
If I remember correctly the PSZ-5I Hawk can be found at the Railway Maintenance Facility in Zaton. I good use and throw away armor on the way into Zaton.
Ruby is like a mix of Diamond and Operator, it gives stam refresh, +accuracy, good efficiency, net weight bonus when upgraded. Besides its high innitial weight and part of the game its attainable, I think its the best all-round especially when you think about buffs with artifacts.
Stumbled across your channel not long ago and love the videos; particularly these tier list ones! A series, or video, I'd love to see is a progression guide. Outlining your progression through the zone or story and what you should seek to upgrade and get at what point. Really enjoyed these types of things for Skyrim, Elden Ring, etc. Food for thought!
I bought the Liberty exo suit in Rostok being probably somewhere in the mid game (my main story missions are in Red Forest now, I'm looking for Strelok). Also, the Cuirass suit is available at the Duty base. So, at least for now, you can buy them before accessing Prypiat, not for free though. When it comes to the Operator exo suit, I don't know whether it's a bug or not (probably it is), but I looted 3 of them from dead Ward soldiers during their assault on Malachite. I didn't expect that coming :)
You can also find a free cuirass in a large building at the cooling factories. Didn't ever use it because it can't sprint but it's very easy to get if you can run there after leaving Lesser Zone. Also, you can get most armors off enemies if you take them out and let their buddies loot them. Then loot the looter. Easier if you do it in stealth because they won't ever loot in combat.
@booradley6832 It does but it's tricky to make happen. They have to see the body but not see you and go into combat. Then you have to wait until their alert/searching phase ends. If you see one of them crouching over their dead friend, they're looting them. If they don't do that animation, they won't have the armor. I got my first Ward Exo by knifing the guy wearing it, then dropping his body from the roof in front of the front entrance guard. Trying to move a body into someone's line of sight is hard to pull off so it's better of you can take out someone standing next to their ally from a hidden spot. Good spots: "White House" in pripyat Merc camp at South Easter point of Cooling Towers Any checkpoint bc different factions will routinely hold and patrol around them. Unmarked Monolith Apartments in Pripyat (this one works differently. You can't stealth it really but it's such a big building that monolith will spawns behind you eventually and loot the guys you killed at the beginning.) Really important to note: this only works on NPCs holding/patrolling a POI. NPCs travelling in the wild seem to never loot, and NPCs seem to only ever loot allied NPCs. Ex: Freedom will never loot Monolith, only other Freedomers
also the merc suit is good tier at least, i know its just for early BUT, you get it basicaly right away and it weights just 1KG while having pretty good armor stats for early, its wery good for what it is...
Id argue the corundum suit is better than the falcon suit, better physical protection, same psi, you get all 5 artifact containers AND 2 of them are lead or radiation free containers versus the falcon which only has 1 I believe.
Coming back after doing my 1st veteran play through, the Psz Falcon is insane, you get maxed out physical resist, 2 separate wear and tear upgrades, can still easily get to 140lbs with weird water, it’s cheap to maintain, and you can get it easily right out of the gate, I used it over the diamond exo just bc I didn’t bother dumping money to upgrade it
The Corundum Suit is the best non-exoskeleton armor, and can be used up to you get to the Diamond Exoskeleton. It's the suit that will carry you from the games mid point until end game.
The best thing about Mercenary suit is that you can get it to weight only 3, which I feel make it qualify for a B-tier, as you can use it up to the Swamp, when you should get something with good Psi protection, and good too run loot around with.
The DLC SSP "SIRCAA" is like if you got the Deluxe edition, you can pick it up straight after you leave the Lesser Zone from a stash, which is not far away if you side with the ward. I mean giving the ward the senzors. It has Psy protection(after the new patch), it is an upgraded SSP suit basically. Move it to A tier and with full upgrades its an S tier. It is the best suit for Artifact hunting, which you can get very very early, but it is expensive to repair so i dont recommend running it straight, just save it into your personal stash and wait till you have at least 50K coupons to be able to cover the maintenance costs. If you fully upgrade it and if you manage to get the blueprints it will have very close physical protection as the Exoskeletons which is kinda insane. Iam running this armor and i can confirm, it has 2.7 almost 3 bars of psy-protection, 2.8 thermal/electric/chem, 3 rads and 2.1 physicality protection. With maximum upgrades(blueprints included) you can get it up to 3.7 physical protection, 3.5 electric/rad and 3.2 psy-protection, and all the 5 slots for artifacts(3 shielded)
Fully upgraded, definitely S tier. Balanced and high resistances Including high PSI, slightly lower phys dmg resistance but i personally negate that with running the compass. Also 5 artifact slots 3 of them are protected. Putting it in C tier is insulting lol. Im joking around but its definitely not C. 😂
I think bulat should be at the end of the S tier or top A tier. You can find it after leaving zalissya. It is in the military base. When it is fully upgraded, it is like a lighter exoskeleton. I've always used that armour in the first trilogy. You can complete the game with it if you don't want to use exoskeletons.
@@johnshepard7630 the game has like 6-7 controllers, maybe a bit more. What else uses PSI? I've never needed it in any stalker game. You can use pills if you need psi protection so much.
you can get Operaton Exoskeleton in burned forest during "subtle matter" mission, after you talk to Strider when you escape the lab its at the end of the bunker, i think thats before you go to Pripyat but its pretty late game, without exploits you can only get the normal exoskeleton when meeting Strelok for the first time which is just one mission before this one, maybe you can get into the bunker before but i would guess the gate at the end is closed but ill try to go there sooner and let you know
Seeing videos like this is making me realize how lucky I got in my playthrough. Due to what I can only assume was a bug I got 9 sets of Duty's convoy armor. And the helmet with mask as early as the factory mission for Spark. That armor was fucking nuts
the hawk spark armour is in the burnt forest in a helicopter hanger near the place you go for the faust boss fight, the SEVA D suit is great and very upgradeable, I was running it till yesterday because I found the SEVA I but the seva d has 3 slots, can be upgraded to five and can have on lead container (maybe 2 but im not sure, i forgot already), it has great physical and can be ugraded even more, it has the upgrade to reduce weight and increase carry weight at the same time but it requires a slash drive. when it comes to the Cuirass(duty) exo suit it may be worse and it may not be able to sprint but I found it 2 days ago in my second play through, I was really early game, hadn't even been to wild island yet but this time i wanted to explore everything so I went north to the cooling towers and i found this beast in a big building with some monolithians there (even though I was nowhere near past the sircaa mission) so I get why it can't be upgraded as much as the other exos, it would be too op for the early game , keep in mind I haven't gone to pripyat early so maybe if you decide to go there and get the operator early u will be golden and can use it. O nvm u said it in the video, but yea, nothing stops you in the early game to cross to the cooling towers. Btw im not 100 percent sure but I think I saw the bulwark or whatever its called exo suit sold by birch or in some merchant npc on my first playthough but something made me not take it even though I was using the Bulat suit and this was supposed to be the exo version of that anyways , thnak yall for reading, it feels so nice to be a part of a community around a new live game and not reading 10 year old forums for a change
I think the tier list should've been broken down in two: full suit and helmet+suit, - as full suits in general are better. Or even better - break it down into armor classes: Jackets+base masks, Light Suits+advanced masks, Sunrise modifications (PSZ5 types)+good helmets, Seva modifications, PSZ9 modifications (PSZ12 included) and finally Exos. Scientists environmental suits could be its own thing, as they have a suit in most tiers and they have best "element" protection, but relatively poor physical defense. There's too much information, like 14:50 here you already fell into your own trap with "No psi" - well yes, since that's one of the armor suits with no helmet! :D Dividing armor in groups will have more clear gradation of overall gear progression and a lot more time to discuss stats, acquisition and unique upgrades/unique upgrade combinations/routes (like Seva-V has sewn-on pockets as its first upgrade and even comes with 4 artifact slots right off the bat (but has bad psi protection and relatively low physical defense), while Seva-D is the only suit I can remember, that has a 2 in 1 upgrade - "Back Support", that adds carry weight and lowers suit weight).
I think in addition to carry weight they should add a carry volume for your armor. Then have everyone sell all weapon attachments and it stays hella expensive. That way they can keep the stashed attachments but make it harder to buy them, because it would be really tedious to loot for guns to sell, because they wouldn't fit in your backpack. Everything needs to take up volume but you can group it to some extent. Like banadages taking up 1x1 slot in the inventory can be grouped up to 5. From 6 to 10 it's an additional 1x1 slot again etc. Carrying capacity artifacts would still be valuable as you can run longer and faster still. Quest items should maybe be exempt form that mechanic, would be annoying.
I got the Operator exo from one of the Varta soldiers before Pripyat. Apparently NPCs loot the corpses of other NPCs when they lose sight of the player and can get their armor, so sometimes you can find armor in dead NPCs.
I got Operator Exo much earlier. I found it leaving the Subtle Matter bunker. I haven't explored that area before, but I'm quite sure you can just get to that part of the bunker before doing the mission, i.e. it should be available as soon as you leave the Lesser Zone. One of the blueprints is there too. It's not all rainbows and unicorns though, the blueprints for Operator Exo extra lead containers are in Pripyat. One thing that kinda sux about Operator Exo is that the 5th container ("makeshift container" upgrade) is locked to one specific technician only available in one specific faction playthrough, so there's good chance you will not be able to get it at all. Techs in Yaniv and Degtyarev base in Pripyat can't install it.
Some monolith soldiers in Pripyat will drop the diamond exo when you loot them as well as the ruby. You can get a bunch of diamond and ruby exos if you keep raiding the monolith shelter in pripyat but they are random drops
if you kill the sniper and you Put 3 Boxes next to the big Iron door , you can jump over it's just a little tricky you need to check all the time the Sniper Spawn
I alternated between the Seva-I and the SSP-100I Survey based on if I go out artifact hunting/missions or main mission fighting. Both were S-tier for me before the Diamond. Seva-V for me was the worst, D was the first I got of the group, and it carried me a lot in early-mid game, alternating with the PSZ12 Bulat when it got damaged. I found the Falcon too late.
i found the operator exo on a random guy i shot in jupiter on my way to prypiat right before crossing the border today. I was amazed he had that. I found some other good ones on random guys but this stood out.
Falcon and Corum are both easy S-tier. Also Ruby doesn't have to compromise in the upgrade forks, it can have all and doesn't lock you out of other choises like most suits do. Loner Exo is the Honda Civic of exos, i pretty much run only this one for that very reason. It also looks the best.
I think im the only one he noticed he put the bulat over the corundum, not only does the corundum have psi protection AT BASE which the bulat doesn’t EVEN WITH upgrades😂, and the corundum will beat out the bulat completely with upgrades and if i remember correctly the corundum has 2 lead containers that don’t require blueprints whereas on the bulat the suit requires a blueprint for the second however. Diamond exo at yaniv is still way better tho. Great video tho man very informative! (Edit:Can get corundum very easy on ward walkthrough aswell)
@@khelgarironfist3301 You don't need lead containers if you run Weird Water, it's actually better to avoid them if you can because that way your repair costs are lower without the lead container upgrades.
You can definitely get Operator Exo sooner than Jupiter as I'm running it currently and haven't even reached Jupiter. I believe I found it somewhere in Burnt Forest.
Bro did my fav Zircon suit so dirty, it's 100% high B tier because of 3 art slots and ability to add another 2, good upgrades so it's great untill late mid game even on the expensive side. I've dropped mine after Swamps unfortunatelly because I left them on 30% so yeah
Seva d is top tier, with upgrades so 5 artifacts and 1 lead container, And great stats overall, also 10% more weight capacity, -2 weight, and 50% wear and tear(2- 25%) High rad and really good prot. Plus you can get it right next to garbage, its nutty good. Used in my 1st playthrough.
I dont know if its a bug but i got the operator exosuit from a body of a warden by killing them in malachite when they siege you while you are speaking to the remainings of the c-conssiconsciousness, and also you can get it in a bunker near the orbita station after the subtle matter mission
The Seva D can be upgraded. I'd argue the PSZ-5V Freedom armor is the best out of the Duty or Spark versions upgraded. Incredibly high physical protection for it's class and can actually upgrade both container lines rather that one being locked off after picking the other.
Access to upgrade blueprints is a critical issue. It's no good having the "best" suit if you can't access its abilities. Some upgrade blueprints are blocked behind story missions.
The base exoskeleton can be upgraded to have sprint, speaking from experience. I'm also quite positive the Cuirass is the only one without the possibility of a sprint upgrade. Also, the Operator can be found at the end of the tunnel in the Subtle Matter mission in Burnt Forest, however I have no idea if you can get to that spot before that mission happens. Upon my exit I didn't see anything that would indicate a blockaded entrance from that front though, so it might be possible to get REALLY early.
I modded myself a Shield of Duty Exosuit, which is S-tier for drip. (there's a blueprint or two ingame for this one, but those PSZ-9 Exosuits are on NPCs only)
SEVA-D can be gotten through a jumping puzzle/anomaly zone (bring medkits) at the Cage in Cement Factory right after you leave the lesser Zone. Very good if you went with Gaffer/Spark instead of Ward, I fully upgraded and it carried me until i got to Yaniv for the diamond. An early Integral-A and extended mag are also near there (reloading facility and under the Duty base.)
I don't factor in lead lined containers into if I will use a suit or not because weird water exists. Keeps repair costs lower as there is absolutely no need to get those upgrades.
My man I don't see the Bulat, it's a pretty good military heavy armor. You can get it behind a coded lock door at the military warehouses, amazing mid game armor.
Re SEVAs: looks like there is discrepancy in the stats shown in-game and these data-mined. Based on in-game stats for me these were direct upgrades, rather than sidegrades: SEVA-D -> Wandeder -> SEVA-I. SEVA-V was a sidegrade to SEVA-D. I've been running SEVA-I until I got to Pripyat, would have gone to SSP-100M SIRCCA when I got to Malachite, but it's still bugged and no technician can fully upgrade it. Having 3 lead containers mid-game is goated. Late game you get to Pripyat and get exos, which can have up to 4 lead containers. update: I just checked in game, fully upgraded Wanderer has less physical and less psi than fully upgraded SEVA-I. In both cases I took upgrade path that bypasses one physical upgrade (+20% phys vs +10% carry weight for Wonderer, and +30% vs +1 container for for SEVA-I), so if your going just for raw physical damage stats, SEVA-I can be even better.
The game doesn't expect you to have PSI protection until the Swamp, and I feel a B-tier is a suit you uses after Garbage and until you get to the Swamp, when you switch to one of the SEVA suits until you finish SIRCAA. I think a B-tier suit shouldn't need PSI protection.
It's hard to get confirmation on this, but the consensus I've found is while physical protection is separate for helmet and chest armor, the elemental and rad protection stacks. So in many cases helmeted armor might not be better than helmet plus chest armor. Helmetless armor never has Psi defence, so that's not something to penalize it for. Helmets cover Psi defence. You confused the Guardian of Freedom armor for Wings of Freedom armor. Guardian of Freedom is definitely at least B tier. It's objectively better than the two you put in B. Also, the Mercenary suit isn't DLC, the Light Mercenary Suit is the DLC version and is the same except lighter and cheaper. All the DLC stuff is reskinned existing gear that's just lighter and cheaper.
I like the duty armor a lot as a replacement for the guardian of freedom suit for the mid game personally. Granted it lacks in artifact alots and other defenses but its got a great physical stat and more importantly its just slightly more expensive to repair than the guardian of freadom suit which you have to run a helmet with anyway which bumps up the cost for that gear. Thats without most upgrades though as thats what bumps up the cost to repair. I went with the artifact slots and wear resistance and the cost is around 7000 to repair when in the low 80% condition. The guardian of freedom suit is like 6000 at 80% BUT if you run a decent helmet or mask as well that'll run you like 2000-3000 at 80% so that totals out to around the same roughly, both with mininal upgrades. For the repair cost I think it's worth it for its physical resistance. Definitely not the best armor but it's a lot better on cash than the exo suits or the bulat and corrundum. It's really just the duty version of the falcon armor so its red and slightly worse but cheaper to fix.
Diamond exo no matter what weight I’m at whether it’s 30 lbs or 100 lbs it won’t let me sprint with upgrades. Mind you it give sprint animations but overall I’m really walking everywhere.
Hi mate, well done on your videos they have been really good and I have been enjoying them and finding them really helpful. Subscribed, and people watching should really consider subscribing because how good they are, these are the questions I wanted answered.
I feel like the corundum suit should be in A-tier... it has 5 container slots with 2 lead containers and a psi-protection with good physical protection🤷
i found my diamond at prypiat after making the box jump, but i dont really remember where. on this playthrough as soon as the lesser zone oppened i got to prypiat
Tbh psi protection matters less than physical when you hit late game bc you fight humans more than mutants and humans are now using armor piercing rounds and deplete your health. I ran orange suit most of the game which is great overall and early to get for sure s tier. But then I switched to seva-I and malachite suit for better physical protection with still good psi
It’s funny how developers tried to keep up out of Pripyat but players still find a way. Spent few hrs last night and got 3 Exo suits. UA-cam really made this game to easy lol
Tourist suit is the best one maybe second best non helmet armor in terms of stats when upgraded and it gives 5% stamina regen. Falcon is the 2nd best armor without getting into exosuits and SIRCA should be one of the best, even better than some exosuits in theory but it can't be upgraded fully anywhere and it does have psy protect like 3 bars I think after the patch. Doesn't diamond suit have the best carry weight when upgraded? Also you forgot to include monolith suit and mercenary suit is not dlc.
Call me crazy but i feel literally every armor belongs in filler tier because the diamond exo exists. Crap ton extra carry weight and highest stats across the board compared to other armors. And when you put all those wear reductions from upgrades this things repair cost becomes extremely minimal
I think D tier should be treated as "Replace ASAP". Aurora, Facehugger should be in D as you can get Opticians Gas Mask both in pig stay west of Zalissya and one as a main quest rewards and its stats are as good or better. PA7 - C tier, just a smidge better than Opticians but only Ward players have a chance to get it early and it is worse than PA10 PA10 - should be B tier, as you can get it early without breaking progression much (at Varan's base) and any story progression choice will lead you to it relatively early. PSZ5 armors - PSZ5s are essentially high C tier or low B tiers as these have good stats when upgraded, best armors that can be worn with helmets and those are the suits you may be using till they break for loot runs. X-7 - 17:24 - should be noted that X-7 available past the "point of no return" only. OK, too much info as is. Only will comment that PSZ-9I and Cordum are easily high A tier, or even low S tier as both you can get early and they can carry you to the Pripyat without sacrificing any utility.
I remember to get the operator exo on X15 lab during the main mission subtle matter in burnt forest at the end of the dungeon behind a locked door the key is the other side of the area on a table.
*Ruby is the way to go if you wanna make a lot of koupons pretty quick...Using it with the vodka bottle artefact, I make around 40/50K Koupons everytime I return to a vendor...a good one of course! ;)*
A bit late but the bulwark exo also has no sprit module. Given it's other downsides and that it completed in Pripyat with every other exo it's probably more of a B
There is a glaring weakness of those spreadsheets. They fail to account for upgrades. Show the upgraded stats, or don't bother nerding out with a spreadsheet. Anyone worried about nerding out is upgrading their endgame gear. It is a contradiction to have a spreadsheet without upgrades reflected. The spreadsheet is simply for all intents and purposes wrong.
Right, but very few players will actually know the stats of every single armor set in the game, so we'd need an update to the spreadsheet or a new one that shows fully upgraded values in addition to how much it costs to fully upgrade the item and its final value for repair cost calculation.
How do you find these suits and helmets/masks? You aren’t finding these in stalker stashes right? Are they from side missions or random loot boxes? I only found like 2 suits and 2 masks which doesn’t seem like much for the ground I have covered so far
I dont think they will patch the jump for the spark base diamond exo. Its not that hard to get to either. You just need some food and health and u run like hell
You need to evaluate body armor independent of helmets. You just thrashed a lot of good gear because you weren't even aware body armor didn't provide psi prot in the first place. Can you redo this list please?
V - Volya(Freedom)
W - Ward(Varta, English butchers cyrillic)
I - Iskra (Spark)
N - Nayemniki(Mercs)
M - military, but since it's on SIRCAA... probably MDST or other ministry.
naymantsi - mercs, not "Nayemniki"
pelmeni - mercs, not "naymantsi"

The Aero protection gas mask IS underrated.
You can get it SUPER early and it has alot of psi protection for that early into the game
there is an operator exoskeleton in the burnt forest at the end of X-15. it's in a locked armory with a key nearby.
The SSP-100M SIRCAA (DLC) does have 2.7 Psi protection. Can be upgraded to 5 slots, only 2 lead lined.
I hope you know this game is so jank, that you saying this Carried you until Pripyat could mean a lot of things...Like 100hrs vs 28.
Yeah. Easily one of the best options to have before exos. SSP100 Discovery is great option too, though not as much physical defense.

@@darrenjpeters me too 😂
Worth noting that as soon as you leave the lesser zone you can go to the military storage base in the chemical plant area and get a 100% condition Bulat suit for free.
I reccomend the diamond exo only for how easy it is to get and itll easy carry you late game through the last end of story
You can get the Diamond Exo this early as well.
@@jeremygreen6292 Yeah, to be fair you could go straight up to Yaniv as soon as you leave the lesser zone.
I am rocking the Sunrise armor with mask 1. It's super light and has decent protection. It's the OG STALKER armor imho.
Fashion over stats always
@archiethedog4515 I've fallen in love with lighter builds because I hate relying on Weird Water and dealing with the drunk effect. I've been using this exact combo for over a week. Mercenary Suit is a little weaker and has 1 less artifact slot but 1 kg lighter and it has the carry weight upgrade while also being cheaper. With a med physical artifact and a hyper cube, it was just enough to beat Faust on veteran so it's capable.
The Falcon 9I is definitely S tier, it's arguably the best non exo suit in the game. For me it's mainly Rad/Psi/Phys that matters and artefact slots.
Hard agree, the Sparks were cooking with that one 💯
Agree i love this suit. Best for me.
Same here that suit is an absolut beast!
Corund being B is insane considering it has Exo level stats
yeah and you can fully mod it kinda early if you follow main story, right after getting it from noontider went back to monolith.
They both have 5 artifact slots with 2 shielded containers when upgraded but Corundum has higher stats across the board (almost max physical protection) and much more psi protection (Bulat doesn't have any when fully upgraded)
Great list overall though!
You get it after noontide turns as well which is mid game and can carry you the whole game
@therealamon facts, and you don't need any blueprints to fully upgrade it now that I think about it
I actually cant seem to upgrade the corundiam is it a known bug? Every tech including harpy just says tech can install this upgrade. @cmbtreebeard
It’s especially important if the armor doesn’t have any sort of carrying capacity upgrades.
These vids have changed the way I view gear in this game, really changed the way I play and it has made this game much easier. Well done
Only been out for 1 hour idk how much it can change the way you play and made things easier. You can't do a while lot in a hour
The exo suits are great, especially the diamond, it's worth it but for some reason, I really enjoy the Falcon and Bulat alot...those two armor sets really hard carried me throughout my first playthrough.
I am playing the game with nothing on but a gas mask. I imagine by the end, I will be a snork.
The DLC SSP "SIRCAA now has psi protection.
SEVA D (Upgraded) is the SEVA D with the blueprint upgrades. Suit itself is easy to get in the Cement region, with the aramid blueprint being quite easy to find at Wild Island.
Also you can get 5 artifact slots on the SEVA D too.

You can get Guardian of Freedom as free loot in two different early game accessible areas (Garbage and later Zaton), and upgraded it's one of the best armors for early-mid game, so I can put up with the repair costs.
Yea i stashed seva-d and zircon because of that. Just insane repair costs everytime i step out.
“Duty” armours even though they have lower anomaly defence are about 20-30% cheaper to sustain while “Freedom” in contrary are more expensive.
SSP 100I Survey is the best armor, good in all, cheap repair, good carry, 5% stamina regen, best efficiency 57%
That's a good every day suit. For the tough fighting areas Jupiter and prybiat, the exo suits are better.
@@chrisb2942 just equip compass which boost physical protection to exo lvl
@@choppdahumies i'm assuming protection is capped at 5 so compass with exo is redundant?
@@khelgarironfist3301 yes
@@andreschavez6141 Does that actually work? the loot the looter thing? i wasnt sure why I sometimes find armors and sometimes dont.
Good spots:
"White House" in pripyat
Merc camp at South Easter point of Cooling Towers
Any checkpoint bc different factions will routinely hold and patrol around them.
Unmarked Monolith Apartments in Pripyat (this one works differently. You can't stealth it really but it's such a big building that monolith will spawns behind you eventually and loot the guys you killed at the beginning.)
Really important to note: this only works on NPCs holding/patrolling a POI.
Falcon maxes out at 4 slots with 2 being shielded.
@morokei9394 or 5 with one shielded. Unfortunately you can't get both the extra containers and both leaded
Unfortuantely it has no Psi protection at all.
Btw im not 100 percent sure but I think I saw the bulwark or whatever its called exo suit sold by birch or in some merchant npc on my first playthough but something made me not take it even though I was using the Bulat suit and this was supposed to be the exo version of that
anyways , thnak yall for reading, it feels so nice to be a part of a community around a new live game and not reading 10 year old forums for a change
Dividing armor in groups will have more clear gradation of overall gear progression and a lot more time to discuss stats, acquisition and unique upgrades/unique upgrade combinations/routes (like Seva-V has sewn-on pockets as its first upgrade and even comes with 4 artifact slots right off the bat (but has bad psi protection and relatively low physical defense), while Seva-D is the only suit I can remember, that has a 2 in 1 upgrade - "Back Support", that adds carry weight and lowers suit weight).
Thank you man, I've been looking for an armor tier list since day one ❤️
Nice video :)
No worries, def read through comments on some of the armor sets I am wrong on : )
Some monolith soldiers in Pripyat will drop the diamond exo when you loot them as well as the ruby. You can get a bunch of diamond and ruby exos if you keep raiding the monolith shelter in pripyat but they are random drops
Sounds like farming in an mmo lol
at that point you should have end game maxed out gear already so not really helping besides getting tons of money to repair your shit.
First playthrough I used Corundum suit right up to the end. Fully upgraded it has 5 Physical
if you kill the sniper and you Put 3 Boxes next to the big Iron door , you can jump over it's just a little tricky you need to check all the time the Sniper Spawn
I have nitpicks about the placement inside of the tier with some but overall, I agree
i found the operator exo on a random guy i shot in jupiter on my way to prypiat right before crossing the border today.
Diamond exo adds a ridiculous 25kilos to your carry cap.

Diamond exo doesn't need blueprints for upgrades which makes it excellent in my opinion
Seva d is top tier, with upgrades so 5 artifacts and 1 lead container,
And great stats overall, also 10% more weight capacity, -2 weight, and 50% wear and tear(2- 25%)
High rad and really good prot.
I also got 3 separate exos off bodies in that fight, if it is a bug I’m not complaining lol
I still wish we could get the mercenary heavy armor and/or Exo suits, i really like the way they look
I've always been a Seva guy. Ideally stealth would be a more viable mechanic and exosuits would make noise, making them more competitive.
The psi-hawk suit you can get in zaton at the railway facility
Can anyone propvide the exact spreadsheet he used on the video? I can only find a picture of the weapons sheet not the sheet itself on reddit
look below on the comments
I modded myself a Shield of Duty Exosuit, which is S-tier for drip. (there's a blueprint or two ingame for this one, but those PSZ-9 Exosuits are on NPCs only)
Box jump still works. I got it after the patch.
I thought falcon was one of best? It’s cheaper to repair than most ekso and has the best physical damage
I don't factor in lead lined containers into if I will use a suit or not because weird water exists. Keeps repair costs lower as there is absolutely no need to get those upgrades.
Do you always have weird water equipped? I guess you could, the drunk effect can be funni to deal with in combat
@@IcedCoffeeGaming Yeah, I have it on all the time, to be honest I barely notice the drunk effect.
My man I don't see the Bulat, it's a pretty good military heavy armor. You can get it behind a coded lock door at the military warehouses, amazing mid game armor.
Re SEVAs: looks like there is discrepancy in the stats shown in-game and these data-mined. Based on in-game stats for me these were direct upgrades, rather than sidegrades:
SEVA-D -> Wandeder -> SEVA-I.
In both cases I took upgrade path that bypasses one physical upgrade (+20% phys vs +10% carry weight for Wonderer, and +30% vs +1 container for for SEVA-I), so if your going just for raw physical damage stats, SEVA-I can be even better.
that gas canister on seva-i is just killing it for me lol
I looted the Operator Suit in the defend Malachite mission. So I guess you can get them off drops before Pripyat too
The game doesn't expect you to have PSI protection until the Swamp, and I feel a B-tier is a suit you uses after Garbage and until you get to the Swamp, when you switch to one of the SEVA suits until you finish SIRCAA. I think a B-tier suit shouldn't need PSI protection.
That's fair, Psi protection is more of a nice feature to have, if you have psi block you can easily deal with psi effects.
Actually looking at the stats the falcon armor is better and probably about the same as far as cost to repair goes.
Operator Exo can be found in Burnt Forest. Not just Jupiter...
Aurora gas mask is drippy and has nice enviromental protection, pls place it higher
PA7 - C tier, just a smidge better than Opticians but only Ward players have a chance to get it early and it is worse than PA10
PA10 - should be B tier, as you can get it early without breaking progression much (at Varan's base) and any story progression choice will lead you to it relatively early.
Seva I is S tier for me.
I remember to get the operator exo on X15 lab during the main mission subtle matter in burnt forest at the end of the dungeon behind a locked door the key is the other side of the area on a table.
should make a chart with actual names and region found for s tier
You gotta be doing some parkour sometimes to find stuff hidden in places that seem like you cant get there
Had the operator exo dropped from a monolith soldier in the chemical plant.
