I attended this concert. The date was October 7, 1983. The venue was The Old Pension Building (aka The National Building Museum). I took my mother to the show. It was her first "pop" concert. She had a ball.
@@GSM8591 I think it was when the new music festival was in DC. Saw her at the same building as the Mole Show, it was wonderful. The sonics and reverb in the building was great, added another dimension to the shows.
Behind those eyeball masks there was a sense of dread among the band members. They were bankrupt, the Cryptic Corporation was about to go under, all the stage pieces and equipment for the show was still in Europe, and they couldn't even finish their dress rehearsal with rented and borrowed gear. If it weren't for an insulting stroke of luck two hours before showtime, the Uncle Sam Mole Show would have been an utter disaster.

What happened two hours before showtime? Was the equipment/ set of the show different?
