As a 6* player, let me advise, don't spend lots of resources on the rare or uncommon 5*s, at least early on. You will want one of the 5* epics because those will actually get you out into the deep, deep, deep space of 6* territory when you go 61, the others won't. And you'll be riding that epic 5* for a bit when you go into 6* territory so resources to improve it will be paramount. In fact I'd also advise against wasting resources on anything mining beyond the nova in 5* as you'll need a Selkie when you get to 6* if you want to do any mining in 6* areas and the nova is good enough for anything 5* or below. 6* has enough surprises for players already to not also have to figure out how to get ships that can get out there and do anything once you attain the right levels. On a side note, rev, if you could bring this notion up to the overlords it would be appreciated. Specific item cargo dumping while out in the field. I am so tired of going out to collect certain resources like the meta currency for the borg cube upgrades or the iso stuff for the eviscerator, only to have my cargo bay fill up with stuff I'm not interested in collecting at that moment. So, if they could give the option to select items in our cargo and dump them, it might free up a lot of back and forth travel time.
Love my Sanctus so much someone made a shirt of me flying on one, buahaha. Great video! Still hope to get all three of the 56 one day, just for collection sake.
Meow Samo! You are already that far? I remember about a year ago you were like 39 still? That must have cost a fortune to get to 56 so quickly! Anyway, congratumeowsniffilations to you and greetings from Switzerland.
The game is always changing, but my experience through the 50s was that common 5* mats were like gold and gate kept nearly everything. Uncommons were always flowing like water. Rares took a while to get going but I recently hit 60 and they are coming thick and fast. I get the feeling scopely is going to release 71-80 soon.
Great selection Rev 👍. I’m pursuing this as my first G5 rare simply to utilize the battle triangle against all these Sanctus users that show up for PvP. I firmly believe that this can be great for coming out on top in PvP encounters because hardly anyone brings battleships to fights anymore.
I wish the 'skip animations' option let you pick which ones to skip. I want to skip chests and away team animations, but I want to see my new ships every time.
Just started upgrading to ops 53. Bought a few vorcha bps, should i save my credits for the rare or the epic? I bought the ktinga and that really slowed my down from getting the korinar.
Starting with G4, I got into the rotation, for example, now grinding the Klingon faction because I haven't bought a Klingon ship in a while, so I have the least gap to buy Quv'Sompek. Then I will have more of Fed, and then it will be Rom ship. This gives me less stress on credits. Going after specific ships, I do not see that as important as crewing, FT, Chaos, and research diminish those differences. Maybe will start with less Battleships because of slowness (convenience). But none ship will make or break your gameplay. Great video, but I am already planning lvl 58. Do I need those survey ships at 58 or can get them in early 60's?
I got a quv because it seemed the easiest path to rare parts due to the jelly scrapping pipeline. I was uncertain of its pvp abilities at the time since most seemed to prefer sanctus for pvp. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was an absolute beast for me and I was easily killing same level or higher level players with it. Its firing pattern and large burst damage is great for pvp
im still thinking if i should get a g4 rare my protector is still doing the job i could wait till im in late g5 isnt it better as long as current warship is doing the job better not to get a combat ship unless you hit the wall and need one how long can a protector actually carry you but would like a nova but thats well after the tri 1bil lock im not even at rom 1bil yet would like to hear what people think
Correct, however, you can also just skip the ship requirement and do it at the next one. That's what I'll be doing. My G5 Epics will be tiered high enough to upgrade my cube.
I just want to mention g5 rare ships shouldnt be left on t5 due to borg cube tier up requirement is a g5 rare at t6, so by going one tier higher than t5 you will unlock the ability to have a 2nd g5 rare strength ship with the borg cube. For me this was hugh as my last tier up for the borg cube was the g4 rare.
As you get later in the 50s, the UC really does get nuts. All my extra ships are T4(exception Epic) while my primary combat from each point went to specific tiers based on needs. My Northcutt for instance only went to T6 so I could kill enough Silent at 55 when I ops up. That rare was murder because it was all event based. However, I would agree when possible to do T5 at best. But that said at 56 I ended up taking my Sanctus to T7, mostly because of PvP, but no regrets as it was a good ship. However, burning that rare definitely slows down progress towards Ops 60 due to how much rare you need. That said now that I finally made it to 60, I now burn rare into the epics more willingly. I have an Enterprise D at T8 and a D'Derdix at T6. In fact I often prioritize the rare to the ships over research/buildings. Though I did take the RSS away from the DD to take my cube to T12 (not doing 13 till I'm ready for 61). That said, while I don't have it yet, I do plan to complete my G5 collection and get add the beauty that is the Rottaran to my fleet.
Sompek is a great ship, I used her for awhile. I also used the Sanctus. My personal opinion go for the sanctus as buildings and research required to advance to ops60 is heavy on rare ore and gas.
@RevDeuce the firing pattern mixed with a couple of well placed researches and crew setups can allow players to grind with a sanctus for zero or minimal hhp loss. I used it till I got into the epics.
I'm going to disagree with a statement that you made that at upper levels it's more about the crews than the ship ... that would be true if the only ships available were the FKR factions, or if all system hostiles were roughly equivalent ... but neither is the case. Try to kill a Xindi Aquatic with your new ship and see how that works out with whatever crew you want, then use a single tier NX-1 using the Leslie crew and see the difference. Try to kill Hirogen in DQ space with your FKR faction ship, then try it with a lower tier Voyager and again see the difference. Same with Continuum space, same with Gorn space, same with Mirror hostile space (especially with the magnetic hazard, that the NSEA handles nicely but makes any FKR faction shop go "pop") ... I would actually contend, other than grinding, there is very little value to the FKR ships versus specialty ships for most of the content and for those ships ...
Specialty ships are always going to superior vs their specific hostile. That's always been the case. However, I do grind many of the loops you stated with FKR ships just fine :)
How is your ship getting built A 100 million more power than mine ? A prime they gave you. Or something or all those new ship research stuff that I'm not paying for. Lol

With the rev ship I agree with you. Well I mean the refinery that came out with it giving loads of mats
Great selection Rev 👍.

I firmly believe that this can be great for coming out on top in PvP encounters because hardly anyone brings battleships to fights anymore.
I agree that this ship has some great potential in PvP against some of the meta right now!
Great video as always rev, and this is why I've got a vorcha at 53 and will be getting a sanctus at 56 then onto the enti d at 60.
This is such good timing, as I only got one on the weekend!
I just made the move to 56 and built the Quv'Sompek as well. I only took mine to tier 4 but it's crazy how much more damage it does than my Northcutt.
I wish the 'skip animations' option let you pick which ones to skip. I want to skip chests and away team animations, but I want to see my new ships every time.
I just turned it off for launching ships, then turned it back on
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉 i have my sanctus already tier8

This has been my go to since I built it! Just hit lvl 60 so an epic ship coming soon
I like my Sompek, great for its level, but don’t intend to invest in it anymore bc its limited range will not be of much use in the 60s.
I'm ops 66 now and finally maxed my sompeck during a mat spend event. It's at level 54/60 at t12 and is over 1.2b power.
Oooof I'm still working to get all the bps for that one!
i am going for the Sanctus only 60 BPs short and I think I can take it t5. The Ent D
i'm a ship collector myself still have and use my sompek at ops 62
I built the Crozier and Quv'Sompek, last week. Quv'Sompek already t4, Crozier is t3.
I love this new Fancy Intro Music!!!
im still thinking if i should get a g4 rare my protector is still doing the job i could wait till im in late g5 isnt it better as long as current warship is doing the job better not to get a combat ship unless you hit the wall and need one how long can a protector actually carry you but would like a nova but thats well after the tri 1bil lock im not even at rom 1bil yet would like to hear what people think
This ship is the current jewel of my fleet. Excellent all-round ship.
I love my Sompek
I LOVE THIS SHIP SO MUCH
I could be wrong but I believe you need tier 6 in order to get the next lvl on your cube

The game is all about balancing your resources!
Sompek is a great ship, I used her for awhile. I also used the Sanctus. My personal opinion go for the sanctus as buildings and research required to advance to ops60 is heavy on rare ore and gas.
The Sanctus is a really nice ship!

Ah the Sompek.. my Sanctus loved to ate them like sweets 😆
This is my main and I love it
Thanks deuce

Specialty ships are always going to superior vs their specific hostile. That's always been the case.

My t6 Corvus has a warp range of 416
I love my sanctus
QUV is a beast of a, pvp ship.. Much better at pvp than sanctus IMHO... It was a game Changer and took lower tiered 5* epic easily
402M at T1? Dammmmnnn. My research and officers must be so far behind.
The firing pattern of the Sanctus is the best of all 3 of the OPS56 ships. For this reason alone its a better ship ;)
Eh the Quv basically has the same firing pattern with less shots that hit harder, yet have any problems beating a sanctus with my quv so far.
till 61+ i scraped 3 Korinar, 2 Valdor and 1 Ent A😇
I prefer to max out at every ops level before moving up. 😄
Hot take Quv > Sanctus. The Quv just hits so much harder that it beats out the ability of the Sanctus.
How is your ship getting built A 100 million more power than mine ? A prime they gave you.
Or something or all those new ship research stuff that I'm not paying for. Lol
No primes. I don't buy primes nor does Scopely give them to me. :)
@RevDeuce Must be newership research. I'm lacking in territory a little bit.but dang lol
sanctus is a better ship
Sorry Rev you're wrong. The Crozier is trash. The other two are very good.
Data disagrees. You're allowed to like something, but there's nothing objectively worse about the crozier in today's game.
