The most mood-changing moment I've ever seen
He tragically passed away at 38 years old. MICHAEL VICK WAS THE FACE OF THE NFL
Who passed away
Yeah he really should have ended the video with Jared's story.
Where's Mississippi welfare queen Brett Favre 🤔
Jared Lorenzen is the most heart breaking of all. His life spun out of control, and it took a tole on him emotionally, mentally, and physically. If only he could've gotten the help long before it was too late. Rest in peace, Jared.
:(
Yeah wish the NFL let him play bet he would have kicked manning and Brady's ass in the the pass game
Had all the money and fame and still stayed 💯 fat
Whatever
Yea, I remember him at Kentucky and thinking "wow, that fat boy can play!" Never knew what became of him, very sad.
Lorenzen was so much fun to watch. My family had season tickets at commonwealth. Not the best seats, but still went every home game. We went and saw Lorenzen throw bullets to the chests of his teammates for a few seasons. UK fans didn't have much around that time in football, but he helped make us relevant for four good seasons.
It's been a long time coming for us to manage some 10 win seasons, and Jared was a part of that process. He'll be missed, and remembered by UK fans for being the badass he was at commonwealth. RIP.
Man is a goddamn legend.
"Where ya'll goin? Bout to miss a helluva game!" Gane went on till 2 a.m. Man wasn't a liar.
The Jared Lorenzen one was odd to me. I had no idea he passed away. I remember, I had a friend of mine in middle school. Same last name, was in our nerdy group. I remember him mentioning to me that one of his cousins played in the NFL named Jared on his dad's side. Me being a kid, I was both in shock and disbelief. I looked it up later, found out that he was telling the truth. I followed Jared for that year, just out of respect for my friend, but was still kinda cool to know my friend had a cousin who was on the Giants' roster. Until I watched this video today, I had no idea Jared Lorenzen was going through all of that. Everything I was told about 'em, seemed like he was a pretty cool dude. RIP man! Your cousin still remains a good friend, so I have no doubts you came from great people!
The Jared Lorenzen story broke my heart. R.I.P😔

Especially as a Kentucky fan
When I saw this video I was so sad😓

6'6" at 245 isn't necessarily bad for an NFL player. It could be muscle. Not saying thats the case for Russel, but for pro athletes BMI doesn't mean as much as it does to regular people. Josh Allen is 6'5" 240
I agree that's trash depending on the position and the body shape.
You're right about that. BMI is only based on averages for height and weight. I was a college athlete and the BMI chart said I was overweight and nearing obese. Our whole team was hydro-statically tested -- the most accurate technique for body mass & fat percentage -- and I came in at 8% body fat. BMI is completely useless for athletes and others who have a lot of muscle mass.
That was a long time ago. Unfortunately for me, I look more like JaMarcus Russell now.
@@ContrarianCorner exactly. Most wrestlers have high bmi but sub 8% fat.
he can’t forget Henry ruggs
Josh Is So Overrated
"and he tragically passed away at 38 years old... MICHAEL VICK WAS THE FACE OF THE NFL"
Kinda Funny if you think about it…
He retired at 38 I get it🤣🤣
That's probably the reason the touchdown channel never took off like rebound did.
its because he didnt film the whole video in 1 video.
the lorenzen story hurts knowing him personally and his family growing up around us, he was one of the nicest individuals you’d ever meet. worked hard to accomplish his goals. sad sad days when he’s spoken on 😓
Yk I never thought it was possible to reach the NFL being overweight at a position like that I feel for him
@@Juhrome_ Yeah never heard of him but sounds so sad
Likewise....he lived across the street(literally) and it just so happened to be the demarcation point between Simon Kenton and Scott high schools, so he went to SK and we went to Scott. If the sound of "Foot", or a ball getting tossed outside, it was "YOUGIZEGONNAPLAYSOMEFOOTBALL?" in one very excited and rapid word lol.....we had a semi-organized backyard football group composed of mainly current and explayers from Scott and a few others, 2-3 games a week, ages 13-18 generally. Full contact, no pads, no refs, no BS. We usually set up field in President's Park in Edgewood, Ky. He was usually so swamped with stuff he hardly got to play with us, but when he did it was crazy. Scary powerful. Wish we could go back, and re-live 1996-99.....Good times.....good times.....
@@auntygravity5506 sounds amazing, I hate 2020, 2021, and 2022
Oh yeah, 96-99 were some of my favorite years growing up in my late teen days. We had some classic football games every week against the local garbage men who always beat our asses because they were just too strong. Picking up all those bags all day made them strong as hell. Those nyc winters were historically brutal too, the fields were totally frozen which worked to their advantage because we were younger and faster but the frozen nyc tundra killed that. Good times though lol
I literally cried when Jared passed. To me it just seems like he died alone. I’m a big guy and was a athlete as well. It is scary. I’m sure depression had a lot to do with his situation. RIP hefty lefty you are missed everyday 😢

It's such a shame that Jared couldn't overcome his addiction. He was so much fun to watch play and was a really kind, nice guy.
Great vid. The hefty lefty is not the only pro athlete to predict his own death, however. Pistol Pete said “I don’t want to die from a heart attack at 40 years old after a 10 year career” and that’s exactly what happened. RIP to both legends

Well he didn’t really let himself go he was always huge
He was always big tbh they had him working out hard but once he tasted that donut again it was over
What became of him? I remember he had slimmed down a bit and the next season he was big again. Then he was gone.
Jared lorenzens story is heart wrenching. The man tried really hard
I know I cried
R.I.P. Jared Lorenzen. Poor guy
Omg, I'm crying because I know this kind of pain. 😢 I've always had weight issues, even as a child. In 2003 I got fed up and dropped 127 lbs. After losing my granddaughter to a tragic accident, and having my marriage break up after 35 years, I fell into a deep depression and started gaining it all back because food became my crutch again.. 😔 Yesterday I realized that I wouldn't be long for this world if I didn't start dropping this weight again. After seeing this, I feel stronger and more confident about losing the weight! This young man's tragedy probably just saved my life. Rest in peace. I know how hard you tried. 💔😭
@Braylon Litzinger Same
@@brianwalsh1401 Thank you. Right now I'm concentrating on portion control, and not eating if I'm not hungry, which has been a challenge with lockdown. Keep up the good work!
I loved Jared Lorenzen... literally one of the saddest stories of all times.
Interesting fact, my father used to own houses and rent them out to people. He once rented out to a former NFL player. He actually ended up having to evict him since he didn't make enough to pay his rent. Not all NFL players live too well after their time in game.
RIP “hefty lefty” Jared lorenzen

Dude really said “265lbs and ONLY 6’6”
😂
😂
I heard it too and said "WTF?"
I thought exactly the same thing. When he said Russell's BMI made him 'clinically obese', that must've been when he was over 300lbs. Maybe that's the problem when you write something and give it someone to read/record who knows nothing about what they're reading. Reminds me of hearing someone say 'Steven Curry' on a UA-cam video.
Hope you guys are all good.
@Labryan Taylor he's a beast! Good call there Labryan. Some people carrying that much weight are just freaks of nature (in a good way/the best possible way) and some injure super easy. Let's hope Zion stays healthy.
Hope you're good.

That Lorenzin story really is sad. I have never had weight issues, but I can say getting in shape is a lot harder than staying in shape. Don't get so unhealthy that getting healthy becomes impossible. Don't just listen to what you want to hear. Take the cold, hard truth and let it motivate you.

8:02 "...unlike any pro athlete ever, he was the first to predict his own death." - Pistol Pete Maravich was the first to do it. “Lamar Jackson is the fastest player in nfl history” that’s laughable
Way laughable haha
fastest qb in nfl history
Deion and Bo both ran a 4.1... no chance Lamar had that time

VICK: "At his Pro Day workout, Vick ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds; his time has been clocked as low as 4.25, which is the fastest-ever for an NFL quarterback."
LAMAR: "Although Jackson didn't run the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine-he preferred to highlight his passing ability rather than his raw athleticism-we do have some figures about his speed."
Lamar fastest...... .. lulz
Vick is and will always be the best Running QB in NFL history! PERIOD! He's soooo much faster, quicker and responsive than Lamar.
