Hiya, I'm a resident of Tamborine Mountain. My family immigrated from the UK in 2009, we spent the first 7 years living on Sydneys beautiful Northern Beaches before hubby's work brought us to Qld in 2016. We love it here! Our kids were 17 & 19 when we arrived but are grown-ups now, with their own lives, and we now have grandkids here too. I just wanted to mention a great place to take the kids here as I can't see it visited as yet on your videos. Just down the road from the Skywalk is Thunderbird Parks. It's an adventure park with zip-lining and other activities. It has camping facilities also. If you're ever looking for an exciting outing opportunities I'd recommend here.. I took my oldest granddaughter there for her birthday gift. Hope you're all settled in and happy now. I've only found this channel today and am working my way thru from your arrival forward, so I'm only up to this video so far. Feel free to ignore everything i said if youve already visited in later videos. Thanks for sharing, i love watching people do what we did, and reliving the experience thru someone elses eyes. All the best fellow immigrants, I hope you've all found home! 👋😊
@@mstmy7082 love this! Thank you ☺️. So nice to hear your story. Not been to Thunderbird Park as yet, heard of it but not been. Though it looked a bit your for our two? What’s your thoughts?
@clewsosgiag Yes, most of the activities are a bit more catered to younger kids, but the zip-line course is perfect for your age kids age groups. It has 5 different zipline challenges, ranging in difficulties that are colour coded. I did it with my two older grandkids. The easiest one nearly killed me, lol, but my grandkids both raced thru them. The Canyon Flyer is a different experience. It was a lot easier going on me as the walking between stuff was minimal, and we were driven to the start in a fun 4x4 jeep/buggy style ride. That one had a minimum weight restriction, which was 40kgs I believe, so I was only able to take the older one, but I did that with her for her 10th birthday as she just made the weight. (It helped I put her in good quality, heavy hiking boots, ((I do recommend hiking boots, trainers might be a bit slippy)). The latter is quite more expensive than first too, so I made it a special birthday outing with just me and my granddaughter as its difficult to get quality time with them individually, but it was we'll worth it, it was a great day out, and we created lasting memories. 🥰
