You playing this and succeeding with only silver ammunition is something else. Real respect - I near tore my hair out and basically went full gold with this tank after only a few games.
I was in a match with you about a month back and you were playing this tank. I thought, if he can make this tank work without premium ammo, he is really a glutton for punishment! Great video as usual, love your content.
Thanks so much for reviewing this tank after I requested! You are the best person to make reviews about wot in my opinion, thanks so much and keep up the good work!
It’s amazing how op that 432 is. On top of the hill, and still manages to shoot you. 14” of gun depression probably, 7 is just there as a recommendation :D
@@taugrim yeah, it's pretty broken, i'm a shitter and i have 60% win ratio in the Lt-432, 48% overall on account and like 45% in most of my tier 8's, it's def not me playing that good, it's just a broken light tank, it does good despite my shit skills or maybe in spite of them, i think i have 1200 avg dmg in it, i dont even have 1200 in my progetto, i think i only have 980 dmg overall. it's either that or i'm somehow secretly an amazing light tank player, which ...there is no way, i'm not very good at anything. (also i only have one working arm, so......that LT is broke af, it's gonna be noticed eventually prolly. to many people only noticing the ebrs right now i guess)
Yea 432 is very OP. Blance has never been a priority of WoT. Quite the opposite, and that is by design. Having bad balance makes people want to grind new tanks, and ''rebalancing'' the tanks makes people grind differnet tanks. And then the OP premium tanks got added. Coupled with the +-25% RNG gambling mechanic no wonder this game is so addicting. And that is sad because there are a lot of good things about the game that are overshadowed by this big ugly truth.
I really enjoy the content. You videos are really the most instructive WOT videos on UA-cam. Like many of your followers I am an average player working to get better. so the tactics and strategy in the videos are helpful as I work to improve. One of the issues, however, is the delta in our skill levels. So when you review a tank it may be a “good” tank for you as a top tier player but a really poor choice for me as an average player. You do mention the skill cap issue on some reviews. Would you consider a video that talks about the current meta and which tanks are very much high skill cap tanks in the meta and which tanks might be better suited for average players working on improving their game?
You bring up a very interesting conversation. While I could recommend particular tanks for particular players, I do not for the simple reasons listed here: taugrim.com/2015/02/19/road-to-unicum-guide-videos-for-world-of-tanks/#which-tanks-to-grind I believe every player will meaningfully benefit from playing a diversity of tank lines and classes. If I recommend tanks that are "easy" or "forgiving" to play, we're limiting how much you are going to learn. E.g. anyone can make a Super Conqueror work, but is that representative of all heavy tanks? Not really. Same goes for the LT-432. You could play that tank, but frankly you'll develop a ton of bad habits because that tank is insanely OP (tiny profile, superb camo, ridiculous armor for a light, and gun depression that defies physics). What I'd rather do is help you learn the mechanics - across bad tanks and good ones - so you know how to approach tanks in a way that makes sense based on their strengths and weaknesses. But at any rate, to give you an answer: 1. Arties have lowest skill cap 2. TDs have 2nd lowest skill cap 3. Heavies have average skill cap 4. Mediums have high skill cap 5. Lights have highest skill cap IMO you should play 2-5. For new players, #2 is the easiest starting point, but the problem is that if that's all you ever play, you may not learn to brawl and when to push.
That makes sense. I agree that understanding the principals that make different classes work is the best advice and the player can sort them to their play style. The general skill cap is still very helpful. I like playing light tanks but I am woefully bad in them and really should not play them as I am not helping my team. I have been sorting through a general set of principals from your videos that have proved very helpful in thinking about how to play the game (and they seem to work across classes). 1: Position over damage, 2: Avoid equal trading and marshal your hit point 3: Use vision in trifecta positions to get first shot advantage and avoid taking return fire 4: Use the W key but curb your aggression 5: Winners defend I live on my boat most of the year. Wifi can be sketchy so can’t really play the game. But UA-cam works fine. So gives me time to watch your videos. Looking forward to trying to put the principals into use when I am back to being a “dirt dweller” for a few months this winter. Please keep up the good work.
There's nothing wrong with learning how to play a class. Everyone has to learn sometime. And the fact that you are conscious about trying to improve is in itself the most important thing. You will improve, you just need reps like everyone else.
With all due respect, the move at 1:59 to exit sniper mode and move your tank was a poor decision, as you should be anticipating that the M41 having come down only has two choices: to either give up the carrier entirely, or drive back up. Regardless, enjoying the content as always.
Nice video! I love the positions that you take! I've been putting them into practice and turned my 1800 wn8 recents to 2500 and even 3k+ on some days. I'm currently going through the amx 13 105 line and 3 marking each tank. My first thought to play these tanks was your videos! Thanks for posting. Maybe an update on older videos?
I always told my friends that playing the T69 was like playing Uno, but you had to draw a card, and then another, and then another, and then another, etc until you got one you could play.
I hated the T69 when I played it years ago. I'm not that good in autoloaders generally, but that tanks seemed to be one of the worst autoloaders. Thanks for continuing this incredibly valuable series!
One of the most forgotten tanks. Compared to the Czech T27 and of course the Progetto "Please buff me" 46 it is like a tier difference. The US autoloader is more of a tier7 tank based on the gun stats alone.
I opened UA-cam to see some T69 content and this video was first I saw 😁 your content is the best. Now I am grinding for Lynx 6x6 and I am on M4A1 Sherman.
In my totally amazing and 18k recent WN8 opinion, maybe you’ve underrated the T69 a bit. At its core, it is a faster, tier 8 version of the T57 heavy. It has great VR, gun depression, a decent upper turret and speed as well. Yes, the gun has bad pen, but it is more than enough for mediums. It is fantastic as a kill-securing medium, as many tanks at tier 8 become clippable with a shot or two of damage beforehand. I throughly enjoyed mine, and three-marked it as well.
This tank really deserves some attention from war gaming. It has sat at the back of the classroom for years . It was a tough tank to play back in the day . But lead on to better things so the grind was worth it . But it has suffered so much power creeping now , it’s pen needs a buff and its handling to . There are light tanks that take a hit better than this tank .
Best WOT reviewer on youtube you'll learn alot. The best is how he highlights when he makes a mistake so that the rest of us non-unicums can improve. Unfortunately for me Equipment 2.0 was the last straw and I uninstalled after 8 years.
Interestingly I liked the equipment changes because existing setups are still valid while now you have choices that are neither inherently better or worse, just different. I know though that many people, or rather no one, likes the now insane prices that drain your credits really fast if you have a few tanks you want to test it on. Regarding Taugrim I like that he does not fire gold rounds even though I would not mind in t69 and also that he is much more comfortable to watch at least for me than lemmingrush.
As always great content. Just wondering if you could do a video on your thoughts on the new equipment and the loss of camp and binocular’s ability to be moved for free.
I haven’t had too much trouble with the American T69 probably because I play medium range to short range and I’ll play the it as a light tank, as a in the gun handling and lack of hit points. The penetration hasn’t been a problem for me since I aim in on weak points, but the handling is a bigger problem which is probably the whole reason I play at much shorter ranges than I’m told I have to probably also why I don’t have problems with penning? The other reason is I play at shorter ranges is I try to think I’m lacking armor (with tank not really) and don’t have the hit points to spare (yes it got lots of Hp but I’ll horde them anyways) and default to playing a vision game (keeping coverage and trying to stay undetected for as long as I can). I should probably play more aggressive with this tank and stop using my allies/teammates and be more active in combat, but that gun handling keeps me being a little vampire and using light tank tactics like a scaredy-cat however like most American tanks it has good view range but bad dispersion unlike American tanks it has very bad gun handling not that it really reels it’s ugly head till at long range slow shell velocity leading to poor penetration and long aim time that hurts DPM. That’s why I play the American T69 at shorter ranges to maximize the burst damage of the auto-loader and minimize the handling problems as for the armor and camouflage values I really haven’t felt to out of place the view range vs my getting spotted isn’t much an issue like before as I’ve been watching and learning from your videos on how to properly use vision and concealment. Thank you very much this video just confirmed what you’ve taught me in many previous videos, I’m looking forward what I can learn and apply to my game play style, SINCERELY A FAN AND DEVOTED STUDENT !
I have to say ive been enjoying your content for a while now and you have realy helped me with how to manage vision at least a litle bit better and i would have become a patreon supporter but rn im kinda tight on money so mayby in the future i will be able to support you more just wanted to say great content and have a nice day
I use a bounty gun laying drive and vents on this tank and it has become much more viable as a useable medium. I would hope that a regular GLD would work as well. I know i give up view range but it makes the aim time so much better, I believe its worth it. I have BIA and food to help keep the view range up as much as possible.
I always did like the T69... was a nice tank back in the day. Its a little less nice now... but still decent-ish... I need to get back to WoT... FF:XIV has been taking up so much of my time recently...
I only ground through this thing because I got the camo for the tier x in a loot box. I don’t recall it getting comfortable even when it was fully unlocked.
I just bought this tanks a week ago, not the best tank but kinda fun to play for me because I rarely have tanks with burst rounds. Plus it fires APCR on the stock gun, which I usually used more , also I can shoot those Wheelies and Bourrasque a bit more easier.
Whenever I am on Lakeville I tend to stay away from the center of the map because it seems like no matter where I position myself I just get crapped on by artillery. I have bad luck with the penitration with the T-69. I try to shoot as much standard as I can but I seem to end up in battles with a bunch of tier 9s and 10s and 186 ya good luck penitration wise.
I have one question why don't you use gld instead of optics? As long as it has great view range and you already use vents? Also it's more like a mid range support tank rather than a Frontline spotter
I think that center position in Fisherman's Bay is OP for the North because you're invincible unless the enemies yolo you, and the South bushes are pretty much fake. Some of my best games are from working that position.
Can you please make a basic guide for brand new players. My wife is just starting to play and a quick but full noob guide from you would be appreciated.
It always boggles my mind when people get upset about kill stealing in WoT. If i can take an enemy gun out of the game, im going to as fast as possible.
We must have similar tanks and play styles cuz every line you start video's on are lines I'm just getting into. It's uncanny. starting from the Lynx, it's been almost 1 for 1 for your video's and the tank I'm on. You're also the only player on my "friends" list that is above me in recent stats. You're a consistent 10-14% better. Sometimes I have better avg exp but I haven't played much this summer. philspamoni NA
I love your analysis and commentary on tactics. I've been following you since SWTOR. Even got an 'alright' performance shoutout in one of those old vids. These video are great for strat, but terrible as reviews. Most of the time is spent discussing the tactical situation, and the vehicle involved feels like an after thought. I still love watching them, but I would love for a review to be centered around the subject instead of clunkily tacked onto a tactics video.
I'm struggling with the T69 right now... I feel like a tier VII in mostly tier IX and X matches to be honest. Heavy tank speed and aim with light tank armor and pen.
I hated the tank. The poor gunhandling often made me miss 3/4, the bad pen did the rest. Sure I had good games with it when people made mistakes. But you got the reload where can only reposition or hug a rock. Viewrange is nice, but it‘s too slow for scouting. Sold it straight away. I think I don’t like auto-reloaded. Too much time where you can‘t do much just for a moment of clipping-fun.
I think you're playing it wrong Taugrim, this isn't a "vision game tank" this is a support brawler, without armour. You need to unload on the side of heavies that have fired. and conserve hit points until you 're in a finish potential.. The tank is clearly balance d around NOT being able to perform vision control duty effectively but be able to dump clip well
The T69 isn't a vision game tank. It's just not bad at the vision game. I do agree that it can be played as a support brawler. Although I find that when solopubbing one of the biggest value things I can bring in a medium is spotting.
@@taugrim I just rebought the T69 after this video, and played I did 1.7k dmg using only silver (without receiving any dmg) before my Internet went 999ms ping (inexplicably!) Mid game so I had to basically stop playing .. i purely did this as I was going to upload it for you to see how I play it.. now I'm at work.. but I'll have another pub game tonight and show u a different style
It is interesting how i am not impressed my his stats anymore because i am on the same level and still improving rapidly, but his youtube content is still interesting to watch.
@@taugrim That is true. I hate gold ammo and food so i did not use it; i managed to get ~3k wn8 and over 60% win rate (recent stats). Now i just joined a new more competitive clan and they run credit booster so i can afford gold ammo and food, but they expect me to perform as best as i can; and seeing how a lot of others use premium stuff i will start to use it too so i will be a bit more competitive.
Stock gun also has almost half damage per shot compared to top gun. The stock gun works pretty good if top tier and can be a beast in frontline but for regular random battles, hell no. You pen less than half the time as top gun and you fire so many shots to get similar damage counts. The cost of shells add up crazy fast with stock gun. I rarely lose money when using top gun but with stock gun it is always a struggle to not lose money.
I did pretty good in this tank and didn't feel the need to fire much gold, you just have to aim. You need to be close and use your clip to ambush players. Armor is better than you would expect with the curves.
Thanks Taugrim. This tank just feels so clunky. Bad mobility, bad gun handing, bad armor...what's not to like? LOL. This tank suffered a lot from power creep. Other than grinding through, I see no reason to play this tank when there are a lot better options that are more enjoyable and rewarding to play.
It’s basically worse Progetto 46 in almost everything besides one more shell in clip. Its funny xD People suck in this tank so hard I aced it 8 times in row in first 30 battles. T54E1 is much more fun but I kept T69 for a challenge. Awful tanks help me learn how to be less confident and play better overall.
Man I hated this pos. It literally does nothing well. With such bad gun handling it should he a lot more mobile so it has a chance to get in close to unload it's clip or if not then it should have better gun handling, I can live with the low pen with it being an autoloader.
This is literally my most hated tank in the game. Hooooooooooooooooly fuck was it a pain to grind. Being F2P, dumping money on free xp wasn't an option. I seriously had to evaluate my mental health multiple times through the grind. IT. SUCKS.
I agree. But that is not a fair comparison. What I find more disturbing ist that the US autoloader sucks in comparison to ANY autoloader on tier 8, be it the french ones, or the Czech T27
@@juanzulu1318 I'm sorry I wasn't comparing only telling people why I sold my T69. Yes I agree with you in other tech tree tier 8 auto loaders are still better than the T69.
the only time i get irritated with "kill stealing" is from friendly arty when i have 5 kills, i'm not very good, and when everything works out perfectly and i'm able to even get top gun, to have it taken away from some player sitting in the back missing his shots most of the battle just feels cheap, i can be reloaded and clear line of fire but if they have 300 hp and my gun has 240 alpha, i dont really have much options, i can wait for arty to fire and hope he misses, but theres usually other tanks left also trying to get it, it at least doesnt feel cheap when a tank gets the shot, cuz they played the battle same as me, like they had to do stuff and they were reloaded and in position same as me, but some chump sitting in the back, safe, able to see everything, able to hit people from behind or around cover, not having to dodge shots form enemy arty AND tanks, missing half his shots the whole battle until you have 5 kills and it's your best battle for days, or weeks in my case, and then they get the last tank, who had 12 hp and it didnt give them any thing for doing that, it just feels shitty. arty players remind me of the bosses son at jobs i've worked, they show up but dont really have to do anything during their shift and they usually make more money then you.
"His reasons make no sense" I'm pretty clear why I think gold ammo is bad for the game: taugrim.com/2015/02/19/road-to-unicum-guide-videos-for-world-of-tanks/#no-gold-ammo taugrim.com/2015/02/19/road-to-unicum-guide-videos-for-world-of-tanks/#gold-ammo-credit-sink
@@taugrim It isn't bad. You can't pen a MAUS that's angling at the right angle. That's why you have HEAT to counter that. & that's if the MAUS's lower plate is hidden. So if you think gold ammo is bad for the game well...that's your opinion not a fact.

I just bought this tanks a week ago, not the best tank but kinda fun to play for me because I rarely have tanks with burst rounds. Plus it fires APCR on the stock gun, which I usually used more , also I can shoot those Wheelies and Bourrasque a bit more easier.
Ty T great tutorial 👍👍👍👍😎
I played the T69 back when it had a hardcore HEAT round. Wasn't awful back then and I kind of liked it, but now I'm not sure.
One of my worst grinds!
I find that from south spawn that the H lane is a comfortable working position.
Uh that 7/1 player was clearly clueless.
@@taugrim That is true but you can't do much to the east from that position. IMO it requires more patience and map awareness to win from the south.
This is like the sensi in the wot pearl river short.
The worst thing is that you don't have an engine to flank and use a low pen gun. I aced it yesterday with 6k dmg
Sometimes I have better avg exp but I haven't played much this summer.

i unloaded the t69 and the t54e1 ages ago. not gonna revisit them soon
Mate, you play so well and you do so with SILVER ammo
Jesus!
one day I may pray that he gets to indienpz
Hi man, on which server do you play? NA, EU? :)
NA
With the new equipment 2.0, it would probably be best to put on a vertical stabilizer AND an improved rotation mechanism.
I've just done this, aiming is so snappy and responsive with both
I'm struggling with the T69 right now... I feel like a tier VII in mostly tier IX and X matches to be honest. Heavy tank speed and aim with light tank armor and pen.
What is the unicum??
T57? Need input.
Is Taugrim a cc
Community Contributor? Yes.
Oh cool, does being a contributor mean you get a deputy/sheriffs account? Never heard you mention such an account.
Yes, but I've never used it.
Heh , Nice
I hated the tank. The poor gunhandling often made me miss 3/4, the bad pen did the rest. Sure I had good games with it when people made mistakes. But you got the reload where can only reposition or hug a rock. Viewrange is nice, but it‘s too slow for scouting. Sold it straight away. I think I don’t like auto-reloaded. Too much time where you can‘t do much just for a moment of clipping-fun.
Necromonger saying "you keep what you kill".
I think you're playing it wrong Taugrim, this isn't a "vision game tank" this is a support brawler, without armour. You need to unload on the side of heavies that have fired. and conserve hit points until you 're in a finish potential.. The tank is clearly balance d around NOT being able to perform vision control duty effectively but be able to dump clip well
T27, the french autoloaders and of course the Progetto46 are laughing in the corner.
Keep in mind if I fired gold ammo like everyone else, my account WN8 and recent WN8 would be in the mid 3k range (e.g. 3.3k to 3.5k is my guess).
Taugrim, please make new wot videos!!!
You're the champion of silver rounds only players, our light in the dark!
Bro the chat in the first 4 minutes is wild 💀
👌💪
did you quit?
I was legit considering just using the stock gun, seeing as it gets way better handling with barely lower pen.
Hit 2 key and click away. EZ 🤣🤣 I haven't played it in years but I absolutely loved it
Lol I just bought the t69 this is nice
I did pretty good in this tank and didn't feel the need to fire much gold, you just have to aim. You need to be close and use your clip to ambush players. Armor is better than you would expect with the curves.
Thanks Taugrim.
This tank just feels so clunky. Bad mobility, bad gun handing, bad armor...what's not to like? LOL. This tank suffered a lot from power creep. Other than grinding through, I see no reason to play this tank when there are a lot better options that are more enjoyable and rewarding to play.
Respect. No Gold ammo
Man this tank is uncomfortable to play. Luckily I did my grind for the line years ago and I don't need to play it every again. :)
Better than QB in terms of the learning curve.
IT. SUCKS.
Yea this tank is very awkward. In 20 battles I managed a 60% WR, but the gun is so derpy that the tank's performance is very uneven.
T69 needs buffs, Gun handling and pen.
When the Progetto 46 came into game the T69 was sold for me. God the T69 is so much worse than progetto 46
Yeah, this tank really needs BUFF 😒
Haha is buffed now 😂
the only time i get irritated with "kill stealing" is from friendly arty when i have 5 kills, i'm not very good, and when everything works out perfectly and i'm able to even get top gun, to have it taken away from some player sitting in the back missing his shots most of the battle just feels cheap, i can be reloaded and clear line of fire but if they have 300 hp and my gun has 240 alpha, i dont really have much options, i can wait for arty to fire and hope he misses, but theres usually other tanks left also trying to get it, it at least doesnt feel cheap when a tank gets the shot, cuz they played the battle same as me, like they had to do stuff and they were reloaded and in position same as me, but some chump sitting in the back, safe, able to see everything, able to hit people from behind or around cover, not having to dodge shots form enemy arty AND tanks, missing half his shots the whole battle until you have 5 kills and it's your best battle for days, or weeks in my case, and then they get the last tank, who had 12 hp and it didnt give them any thing for doing that, it just feels shitty. arty players remind me of the bosses son at jobs i've worked, they show up but dont really have to do anything during their shift and they usually make more money then you.
Why don't you shoot HEAT? As a 'unicum' you should know that maybe if you shot HEAT you might've been able to do a lot more dmg. Just saying.
He addresses that here taugrim.com/2013/07/03/competing-in-world-of-tanks-without-premium-ammo-56wr-3000-battles/
Edit: wrong link
@@aurigarvel727 His reasons make no sense if he doesn't like prem ammo, maybe he should make a video about it. Instead writing an article about it.
"His reasons make no sense"
I'm pretty clear why I think gold ammo is bad for the game:
taugrim.com/2015/02/19/road-to-unicum-guide-videos-for-world-of-tanks/#no-gold-ammo
taugrim.com/2015/02/19/road-to-unicum-guide-videos-for-world-of-tanks/#gold-ammo-credit-sink
@@taugrim It isn't bad. You can't pen a MAUS that's angling at the right angle. That's why you have HEAT to counter that. & that's if the MAUS's lower plate is hidden. So if you think gold ammo is bad for the game well...that's your opinion not a fact.
Dreadful tank. Useful with Gold or at flanking.
just compare it to the Progetto, this tank is hot garbage
comparing it to the most OP tier 8 is hardly fair
why not kurwa gold ?
Because he's a REAL PRO PLAYER. Not a gold spammer noob.
T69 is the worst tank in the game, believe me i play this game for 7 years
this thing sucks
