    In World Warrior the dragon punch is invincible all the way up (highest priority), but vulnerable on the way down. Watch the Bison round to see the player counter Bison's attacks with a well-timed dragon punch. In SSF2, the dragon punch no longer goes through fireballs and can be hit out of it from certain (higher priority) attacks. In the same game Ryu and Ken's hitboxes differ in size.

    That probably is the hardest difficulty. This guy chose the right times to jump in and do combos with broken damage; doesn't mean it's not the hardest difficulty. 7:45 look how fast Sagat tries to regain consciousness.

    @brown6313 Also the order in which people are fought is different. There is typically a set list of how Ryu fights people on hardest difficulty. On the easiest difficulty however the first fight is with Dhalsim just like in this video.

    The only way to find out for sure is to try this edition of the game yourself. If you're interested, you can check his Ryu perfect run in Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, which the SNES' Turbo is based on. Should be at the top of the suggestions list on the right. I can't tell you for sure he's playing at the hardest difficulty, but I'm not so readily inclined to take people's word of it being at easy either especially when most of them seem unfamiliar with this incarnation.

    @KeldorDAntrell
    This is where the details come into play. Super SF II Turbo never appeared on the SNES. You're either talking about Super SF II or SF II: Turbo. Whichever the case, those two games are different from the one being played in this video, which is SF II: The World Warrior for the arcade. You may not know this, but there are several small differences between every SF incarnation and between consoles and arcades. Every move in WW takes more health than later games, for example.

  • @KeldorDAntrell
    @KeldorDAntrell 13 років тому

    @dunnono00, Yes, you're right. I've just checked the cartridge and it's Street Fighter II Turbo. Looking at the video above it looks so similar that I assumed - usually a big mistake! I've only just noticed that is says 'World Warrior' at the start of this vid.
    Surely the point remains though: this is a lot easier than, for example, Street Fighter II Turbo. Compared to my game, this looks simple, with enormous damage from one's hits & opponents who aren't very smart.

    @AkiraKurosawa82
    Yeah, the arcade game had difficulty settings, but normally a player doesn't have access to it. That's left to the owners or whatever. I am assuming he is playing via an emulator such as MAME, so he could conceivably change the difficulty.

  • @TheMessiah79
    @TheMessiah79 12 років тому

    No for 2 reasons:
    a) If another person was playing there'd be another score above the other character and his score would go up by another one point every time a new character was selected.
    b) You cant select Balrog, Vega, Sagat or Bison on world warrior.

    • @Ratel3000
      @Ratel3000 8 років тому +2

      The computer is blocking, it's just getting thrown immediately afterwards. Keep in mind game AI was shitty enough that you can look up the AI exploits and abuse them for perfects.

    • @OlJackBurton
      @OlJackBurton 7 років тому +2

      but he's giving normal damage to the AI instead of reduced damage (outside of throws, which deal almost the same damage regardless of difficulty) that would be expected on the hardest setting. i bet if he traded hits, they would have about even damage as opposed to almost 2 to 1 in the AI's favor. if you look at his Guile video, it takes much longer (more hits) to get the perfects.

    Hi,
    This guy looks really good at what he's doing. I think it's better to train ourselves in easy levels and then try to play in harder one.
    This guy know the weak points of most of player (See how he play against Honda) and you'll understand that's he's good.
    Another thing, he almost or never misses a Hadouken or shin shoryuken or any other move.
    I think he's good. I met in my life people like him.
    I'm thankful to him, I lernt some weak points of some player and enjoyed watching.

  • @Wrob99

    This reminds me of way back when I played this for SNES. I was never that good with the special moves, but one time I got really lucky and kicked M. Bison's ass by accidentally doing dragon punches instead of fire balls, because the moves are so close. It was exactly like this video. I could only do that once though and it was pure luck lol, this video is awesome. Good times

    Ryu and Ken use the same ansatsuken-based fighting style, taught from their master Gouken. They use the same techniques (yet in their respective personal ways), so there is no traditional/american varation of style. In fact Ken was originally a pallette swap of Ryu and thus was identicalt to him gameplay-wise. With every new game Ken has been improved to vary from Ryu, especially in SF4 where he gets many long range/frame-trap/kara-able "normals" and retains his variations of SRK/Tatsu from SF3

  • @KeldorDAntrell
    @KeldorDAntrell 13 років тому

    @dunnono00, Having watched the perfect run you recommended I can see this guy really knows his stuff & the damage done by his hits is much lower than in the above vid - no 4 hit KO's there; but still the AI appears poorer than in the SNES Turbo (although better than in World Warrior). For example, when fighting Ryu on the SNES he typically mixes it up in the 2nd round e.g. throwing slow fireballs. Summary: Maybe this IS on the hardest level because the versions really do differ.

    I have been thinking of a Street Fighter II story where the eight characters you can be (Ryu, E. Honda, Blanka, Guile, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief and Dhalsim) are good and the Four Devas(Balrog, Vega, Sagat and M. Bison) are evil. Chun-Li would seek me to help her and Guile out on their mission to defeat the Four Devas.

    @dunnono00, Hi. I played on the SNES, Super Street Fighter II Turbo. I finished the game with each fighter on level 8 (max) so I could play any character pretty well and was a specialist with Ryu and Blanka. Before my system broke I'm pretty sure I got the double perfect on Lvl. 8 with Blanka. I thought I wrote it down but if I did I can't find it! :( I'm certain I got double perfect on all but only a single perfect on Bison. Always been an obsessive type, 'perfectionist' player.

    I believe it IS the hardest difficulty. What you guys don't know is that if you put the settings on HARDEST, the AI becomes more predictable and he must have sussed (sp) them out. Look at Blanka for example, he did 4 punches on him cos he knew what was comming; you don't see him do that on others.

    Since I've been playing it all day he agreed.
    They switch off the machine and use a key to change it, it's much like a fruit machine.

    @dunnono00 I never said it was a fact that there was a set list of fighters for each difficulty I said it was typical not factual. I said fact in my other post because as stated in the comment I originally replied to the amount of damage done to the opponents is too much for this playthrough to be set to difficulty 7. Also when the player is fighting Blanka I don't think such an easy strategy can be applied on the hardest difficulty setting. But that last part is just my personal opinion.
