When they were young in the 1970s, they redecorated the inside beautifully for the time. Sadly, when two elderly people are left to be living alone, disrepair begins, and a smaller portion of the home is used. Eventually one is left, and the heart goes with the loved one. There are many beautiful things in this home, memories of happier times, the Lady may be in care now, or she may have joined her love in death. Thank you for showing this beautiful house out of time and place. Stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦

I an disturbed by the lack of dust. six years and might expect most articles to be layered with dust. The must be a caretaker who arranges cleaning and prevents theft. Absolutely amazing to see the furniture. An antique dealer's dream.

    Heartbreaking so heartbreaking....
I don't think I can stand it..... why oh why doesn't a family member save these beautiful things...
    That fireplace...the furniture..the chandeliers...the paintings....the memories...
The old dear in the painting wasn't too happy about your visit what a face....scary mary....( sorry anyone called mary watching !!!)
Thankyou Leslie...stay safe sweetheart we love your care and attention to details...xx

I agree. In the US, that home would already have been stripped of everything valuable and vandalized to a point of no return. I still don’t understand it. People spend so much on eBay and in antique shops buying the pieces we see abandoned in that beautiful home.

I find that one of a younger generation than myself finds the antiques amazing and also how they were used. Such beautiful homes that held a family memory. Those walls could tell of the laughs, tears, how each lived their lives. It's sad to see this kind of history just left to waste away. pray you each remain safe in your adventures and always look forward to the next video. Just wish I could do this with you in person.

One of the most tastefully designed interiors I've seen on your shows. Even all the wallpaper doesn't bother me cause their designs are so beautiful and sunny. Love the paint colors, even the red room has a calm sturdy feeling. My favorite is the first room with the delicate long flowery curtains and beautiful light blue cabinets. The kitchen is cool also. It looks to be out in the countryside, even here in the U.S. I've seen very few places in the country have homeless ( if ever ) or for people to steal things. At least where i live, I'm in the south. Even in the city you don't see them broken into an raided, homeless people going in, in the city Yes.

@@victoriawinters2468 even though I'm in the deep south, it still depends on the county you live. Today it just seems like some cities, towns have more respect than other areas. It's a shame to. But even in the city and it's a big city most of the old abandoned homes remain untouched unless some of the homeless or people finding places to do their drugs away from those they know leave the beautiful old homes alone. But i can go to the west side and it's different in the city area. Lol, i was driving in the country and no people were going into the abandoned home, but a couple of big cows were on the porch going in.

So many pretty things such as the lovely plates on the wall. Someone had very nice taste. Well made furniture such as the chairs and cabinets. I also loved the light fixtures so unique. Is someone still paying for utilities so the house could maybe someday be lived in again. I do not get this. In USA if utilities bills are not paid these services are turned off by the company or county. Do they not do that in France. Or I do wonder is someone from another area maybe family paying for these services. Either way terrific find. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the fabulous job. Can’t believe such beautiful houses are abandoned. Perhaps there’s no one in the previous owner’s family to inherit the place. I hope the municipality would take over such property and find a new owner who can preserve the history. So sad.

11:12 minutes there's a yellow chair with blood stains on it. Um, did someone get killed there? 😳 Also research suggests that plant book possibly has ties to witchcraft.
Beautiful home. It would make a great rental property.

I was thinking about you Early this morning and had you posted any new videos. Lol, I'm glad you did. Beautiful place, hurts to see it going down like that. In the current condition i think it's savable. This time next year it may not be. Would be so nice to see it back to it's original beauty. I love the old cook stove.
